Oasis Cafe - Salt Lake City
We went to Oasis Cafe for Valentines Day dinner we were not aware of the fixed menu- were highly disappointed (and surprised) that it wasn’t shown on OpenTable when we made our reservation. The menu was very limited (lots of fish) and pricey at $50 per person. We struggled to find items that we wanted to eat and when I tried to ask for medium on my beef tenderloin I was told that they were all medium rare. Ridiculous! We’ve eaten at Oasis before and enjoyed it so this meal was highly disappointing.
Oasis is a go to.
Many visits always excellent, with attentative and friendly staff.
Great service. The salmon was amazing. The menu has many healthy options. They have a full bar and a very friendly staff
My Boyfriend I came back in November for my birthday brunch and we loved it such good service and everyone is so nice and we had to return service is so quick and food is really great.
Great seating and the lavender mimosa is to die for!!!
Brunch / breakfast menu has several good choices. Bloody Mary was tasty served in a short glass. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
Oasis never disappoints ❤️
Non pretentious little gem, excellent and friendly service, great food.
I brought my Mom to Oasis Cafe for dinner and didn’t know about the pre fix New Years Eve menu. Not to worry because it was all delicious and a good value at $50 each. Mom’s tuna tartare appetizer was bright and delicious, while my tofu and veggies option was just okay (similar to what I cook at home). Mom’s second course was a shrimp bisque which she really enjoyed, and my blue cheese and smoked bacon salad was also really tasty. Then came the main course. Mom liked the lobster pasta dish but felt that the sauce overpowered the lobster. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and I throughly enjoyed it, however the leek risotto that accompanied it was over the top with garlic. The wine selection and old fashioned that we enjoyed were on point. All in all, it was a lovely night out. I’ve eaten here many times for brunch and lunch so it was definitely a safe bet. The beet salad on their regular menu is definitely crave-worthy and worth mentioning!
Even tough the restaurant was very busy on New Year's eve our waiter was very attentive and we had a lovely birthday lunch. The food was great and didn't disappoint.
The last two times I ate here my guest and I both got sick 7 to 9 hours later. Also the tomatoes in the caprese salad were not heirloom. Others must agree as businesses way down
I met a friend at Oasis, i had not been. I loved reserving our table from the parking lot and reading the menu while i waited for his arrival. The service was awesome and unrushed. The food was on the healthy side but still good. No booths, but the tables were fine.....didnt feel like your cafateria in a sheep pen. Very cozy atmosphere.....even above average. Prices i feel are awesome. Very cool gift shop attatched with your typical Salt Lake "hippie" 420 vibe 😁. Definately one to try if you havent yet.
Delicious lunch, great service and a warm ambience.
We love Oasis. ALWAYS consistent with great food quality and great service !
The waiter was so engaging and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the ahi tuna noodle dish and my husband had the steak medallions. I also enjoyed the atmosphere. It has a casual ambiance but their service and menu selections are delicious and plated beautifully.
Have loved this place for years! I especially adore Marty - he's not only a friend but also a wonderful server. He's personable, friendly, attentive, and gave great suggestions on food.
Plus food is always delicious!
The food was great, but our service was quite slow
It was only my 2nd time but I had family from out of town and I knew they would love it and they did! We were probably the loudest!
Found this googling breakfast spots in SLC. We are from nearby Ogden. Was really excited that they took online breakfast reservations. Coffee was great, awesome coffee cake, fresh juice, and good entrees. We will return!
The good food and service is compromised by an overwhelming pungent odor (insense?) coming from the adjacent bookstore.
Great food. Great restaurant. It's a little crowded and noisy, but will definitely go back.
A good menu, not too fancy, friendly service, easy going ambiance-- We are regulars, just the two of us to be together or visiting family for a great get together meal
We love Oasis for brunch and go often. It’s terrific. We were looking for a dinner place and realized we had never thought or heard about Oasis for dinner. There’s a reason: the food was terrible. Only one of six of us liked our entree. We had a wide variety of dishes: beef fajitas, mahi mahi special, noodles, tuna sushi. All were mediocre to terrible. And it was incredibly expensive: around $25 for an entree without sides. We plan to go again for lunch but will not return for dinner.
Overall we like the Oasis cafe, but the tables are so crammed together that the place is insanely noisy. We couldn’t even have a conversation with each other. Good food though.
Prompt service, beautiful setting, and exquisite food. I had their grilled salmon on a bed of greens, delicious fresh bread, tea and creme brûlée for dessert. Prices incredibly reasonable for the taste. I will go back as often as possible.
Food was good as usual, waitress a little slow , but not too bad. Be sure to make a reservation! It gets very busy o Sunday morning!
Got the mediterranean salad with chicken and it was delicious.
The Reuben sandwich was great. Lean pastrami, tasty rye, and fixings that weren’t smothering. Salad leaves were fresh. Grapes in salad made for nice clean complement to Reuben. Perfect.
We had a business meeting breakfast and this place is amazing, unique and quite the GEM!! We loved it and highly recommend for any occasion! Plus it was Halloween and the staff were in costume as were some of us!
Service was bad but the food was still magnificent.
Oasis is always a great place to dine. We love their breakfast at Oasis. The huevos rancheros is fabulous.
Dustin was awesome. We love this place because the quality is awesome and the experience is so consistent.
The Oasis is our 'pick' for a pre-theater restaurant. The restaurant is an oasis in the city: good food, great wait staff....a comfortable way to start the evening. We're here before every SLAC performance
Always good. It was crowded and our food was not as good as usual. Our meals were not as hot as you would expect.
Absolutely wonderful food and service! Will return soon.
We’ve been coming to the Oasis for years, always a positive experience. Not this time. These are my complaints: the ladies restroom was messy and needed cleaning. My Mahi dinner was not satisfactory mashed potatoes were warm not hot, the Mahi was dry, actually used a knife to cut it and it was small serving of fish for $25.
Because of a communication problem my husband did not get the meal he thought he had ordered, our server was very nice and got the meal he wanted. He said his meal was good.
The Oasis is a pleasant stop for the four of us before every SLAC performance. I gave it a '4' for food because my 'three-course- special' included halibut that was WAY too done. Yes, I know halibut is normally 'dense' and thus not as moist as other fish but I've had tons of fish at the Oasis and this was just plain dry! Everyone else liked what they had and commented on it.
Service was excellent. The flourless chocolate cake is terrific. My complaint here is specific and does not reflect my feeling about the restaurant over many years. We'll be back.
Lyndsay, our waitress was phenomenal. She kept our glasses full and she was really nice! Thank you!
At this time I would recommend it to a friend, but if the service is aloof again I would no longer recommend it.
Visiting Salt Lake and randomly picked this spot. Portions were a good size (not too big or too small) and everything was fresh. Very chill vibe to the place with really pleasant staff.
