Greta food and great service

This was our first time to Oakleys Bistro and I wish I knew why it took us so long to check it out! Everything was delicious! From the Shrimp Corn Dogs to the Fish specials... amazing! Our server, Jack, had many great recommendations and he put up with our corny senses of humor like a champ! He made our evening perfect beginning to end! Can't wait to go back again!

We visit Oakley's for special occasion dinners as was this one. We made reservations via OT about 5 days in advance for a Friday evening. We were seated in the back (fine with us) except our 2-top was rather squeezed in between two other 2-tops. Conversations between tables remained mostly private, but we do not particularly like this seating arrangement that is now popular in many restaurants. I've been to group dinners with six people where I was farther away from a friend than I was to the strangers at Oakley's. This will not serve as an obstacle for future special occasion dinners, but it will be taken in to account as we contemplate our options. Food is creatively different and delicious, a compelling reason to return.

We dine here often and are never disappointed. The food, service and ambiance are always excellent.

The food was simply amazing. We went for lunch and it was a great value. Would be an excellent place for an anniversary dinner. We will definitely be back even though we were from out of town.

Whenever anyone asks what is my favorite restaurant in town, I always say "Oakley's". I've never been disappointed.

We had the sole special, and it was amazing! I couldn't make that even if I had all day! It is amazing that Steve Oakley is right on site and preparing these gourmet meals. He is truly an artist. This is our favorite restaurant in Indianapolis.

the food at Oakleys is good and maybe overly "creative". i wish they had some beef on the menu aside from short-ribs. i had meatloaf, an old standby item and others had fish. We all enjoyed our meals. AS is usual the service is no that great. The waiter planted himself at one end of the table and reached across all four of us to serve and clear. A small bit of movement and he could have avoided that . It has been that way at Oakleys as long as i can remember so i don't expect any changes. They were out of two wines that we wanted, I never understand that in a restaurant. The waiter had an alternate suggestion, which my companion liked but i did not.
Generally a good experience. Still hoping for more.

Oakley's is one of my personal favorites for quality time with friends I don't see often. If I lived closer, I would be there weekly! Great service, creative menu... no downside to this place. Just the best of the best! If you haven't done it... DO!

A new favorite!

We went for our Anniversary. The menu was fabulous. The service was good and our server helped with choices well. The dessert was amazing and really unique.

Food was amazing, however, for the price we paid we expected prompter service. Service was good, we did wait for initial check in for our waiter to greet us at the table for about 10 minutes and didn’t have that many check ins during our meal resulting in us waiting on drinks and refills and we totally understand the pace was busy. Other than that amazing restaurant.

Great food but they need to cut down on the salt! Please! Food is overall very rich, it would be nice to have some healthy alternatives.

This place never fails to amaze me! The service is impeccable the food is absolutely amazing from plate presentation two flavors that amaze your pallet! We had to starter course specials one was Morales with spring vegetables the other and ahi tuna combination with avocado drizzle. My wife had the cedar plank card special and I had the old standby meatloaf which is out of this world! Chef Steve truly has amazing skills and they run one of the best operations in the entire city!

Fabulous experience! The food, the service, the atmosphere....everything was absolutely wonderful. The shrimp corn dogs were scrumptious, the salmon tart was incredibly delicious, and the pb&j crepe was an amazing and delectable dessert! Best food and service in the city! Looking for a unique and fresh restaurant for meal with friends. Oakley's menu was excellent. Service was excellent.

Oakley's is always superb as evidenced by their James Bread nomination. This evening he Monkfish was outstanding, as was the chocolate desert.

We did not enjoy our experience. To begin, the hostess just stared at me instead of welcoming us and asking if we had a reservation, very rude. Next, our server basically ignored us. It was 20 minutes before he took our drink order and another 25 minutes before he took our food order. If I am going to spend that kind of money, I expect excellent service.

I had been hearing great things about the food so I decided to go experience Oakley’s for myself. I was amazed. The food was excellent, the shrimp corn dogs and deviled eggs were delicious! I had the salmon for my main entree and it was one of the best salmon entrees I have ever had! The staff was very friendly and provided great service. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend Oakley’s to anyone.
