This was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had while on vacation. The staff was outstanding and courteous, while the food was top notch. Try the watermelon daiquiri and red snapper. You guys are my go-to spot whenever I’m back in Boulder.
Oak on Fourteenth is our favorite local restaurant in Boulder! We absolutely love the food, drinks and wine list, atmosphere and all the staff. Everyone is so welcoming and knowledgeable. The management team is incredible. They always remember us and come over to say hi. Thank you! We really appreciate you all!
Sat for 20 minutes before wait staff came by
The service was great, the atmosphere is nice - espe
Restaurant known for wood fired foods served my fresh fish deep fat fried without mentioning this change in preparation. It was Not good. 4 people $415
We love this restaurant.. We live in Colorado Springs and we make it a point to drive to Boulder at least once a year to spend a weekend and enjoy this restaurant!! Absolutely have never had a less than stellar experience.
My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much. The menu, characterized as dim sum like by our server, was different than our previous visits. The dishes had incredible flavor profiles and were expertly prepared as one would expect at Oak. Service too, was phenomenal. Our reservation was for an indoor table although outside seating is available without reservation and I think we'll try that next time. Oak chooses to pay their staff a living wage and includes a 24% Community Value Fee in the check in lieu of tipping to cover this. The quality of the overall experience easily justifies this charge and will probably motivate you to tip as well. Oak is real gem in Boulder.
The food was amazing. We shared the pork and are still talking about how good it was days later!
Great place to share excellent food with family and friends.
My wife and I have been to Oak on 4 previous occasions, which have all been excellent. This was the first time we had the Pork Shoulder, which was outstanding. As usual we had the Kale & Apple salad which we never tire of. Given the distancing requirements the restaurant was very quiet - which we both appreciated.
Oak never disappoints. The food and service are first-rate, even under the challenges of COVID.
Waitress was rude and ignored our table. Then to our surprise we were charged a 24% community value fee. I would not mind paying the fee if the service warranted it, but service was terrible!!! Food is very good.
Everything was delicious. Food was a bit overpriced and service was a little slow, but a very enjoyable meal. Thank you.
Always a great go to for a nice meal downtown. The interior was nice on a hot night and spacing between tables was more than the minimum requirements. Oak is a bit pricey(especially with the 24% community tipping tacked on) but the food is delish, the service is great and they have always been super professional and welcoming.
Food was wonderful and the staff so helpful
Oak is our favorite restaurant in Boulder! The food and drinks can’t be beat! We go there every visit! ❤️
I food and service was fantastic. Very safe environment. I wish the menu was little bigger but i understand why it’s small right now.
Incredible meal! I had the snapper and my wife had the steak. Both were delicious. All of the starters crushed, but my favorite was the salmon tataki. The cocktails, as always, were superb. And the bread, believe it or not, may have been the best bread I've ever had. I could go there just for bread and cocktails, lol.
The food was interesting and portion sizes were adequate. We had multiple Small plates which allowed us to taste a lot of the menu. We were not very happy with the 24% tip added on, it seemed a bit excessive. Also $24 cocktails were a bit much.
Food was phenomenal and service was very friendly and prompt. Highly recommend the mushroom fried rice!!
It was our first anniversary and they brought us champagne on the house. We loved getting a few small plates to share and the drinks are original and tasty.
The service was fine, but the food was no where near worth the price. The burgers were nothing special and the fries were overcooked and had too much seasoning.
Was a very nice dinner. The community fee threw me off a bit. I personally am very supportive of eliminating tipping, but thought the way the tipless dining here was odd. They added a 24%ish fee to the end of your bill. Which makes it appear as that is the tip, just mandatory. I think they should just add it to the menu prices and leave it at that. Why mess with a % if you’re trying to eliminate tipping to bring fairness?
As always, they do an amazing job! All on point... drinks to dessert.
Food was delicious as usual. Our server, Noga, was fantastic, as was the other wait staff that served us - and all wore masks. All diners were distanced more than appropriately from each other. Overall excellent experience.
The kale salad is my fave!
We were able to eat outside and felt very safe in the age of Coronavirus. A more limited menu but still some really great choices. Food was excellent. It was nice to be eating out again.
The food was excellent but they’re charging 24% as a “tip” for the staff to bring “equality to the front and back of the house”
Maybe our waitress didn’t explain it well, but that is an exorbitant percentage to me, maybe 18-20% would be acceptable, especially since it was presented as forgoing tips. I hope this isn’t a trend that catches on.
The best dinner we have had in a long time! Everything was amazing
Our second dining out experience since COVID< great food. Thanks for creating a safe environment and suoer delicious food.
The food is always spectacular, and it's never the same. I can tell the quality of a restaurant by its ability to make meat eaters eat vegetarian dishes and Oak always comes through.
Oak's staff's COVID19 protocol is great - my guest and I were well taken care of. We did not feel unsafe, and were happy with service, food, and drink! We did dine outside, and were lucky it didn't end up raining that evening.
There were a couple of small things missing for that perfect score but overall this place is a complete package.
Oak has been my favorite place since we arrived in Boulder five years ago. They are clearly trying to do great things during the pandemic but dinner on Saturday was really disappointing. The new Asian inspired dinner was mediocre at best and they have eliminated some of their great dishes. Will certainly give them another try but not for a while. Hope you find your mojo Oak ...
Better than Frasca! Every bite was incredible! We will return!
The 24% restaurant fee, that is then taxed, means I will not be back.
We went when they reopened for a birthday dinner that had been cancelled during COVID. Every dish was beautifully plated, perfectly balanced, and so very delicious. The menu changes as ingredients and season change so you can try new dishes often. Or new takes on a dish.
We enjoyed: Blistered shishitos, summer farm pea salad (the hit of the night), roasted eggplant and bok choy, king salmon tataki, squash blossoms with lobster, coconut sticky rice, and cherry ice cream honey toast. We also love the crispy mushroom fried rice we had a few weeks ago for take out.
Besides that, with the new outdoor seating, we were able to enjoy the evening air and watch the sunset.
There is no place that compares in Boulder if you want a true culinary experience.
Absolutely loved this place!!! Such an amazing feel to it from the moment you step inside. The staff is great all around and very pleasant to interact with. Highly recommend this business and I will definitely be eating here more often in the future!
Enjoyed the outdoor seating. The tatami salmon, fresh pea salad & tempura squash blossoms were DELICIOUS. Not as thrilled with the sea bass with pineapples & cucumbers. So happy they’re open again! It can’t be easy.
Everything was delicious, service was fast and friendly.
