Terrible service, extremely over priced food and not worth the price. Waitress was very rude and not very attentive. My father ordered whisky on the rocks and they gave him a single ice shaving. Not worth it at all. Whole party said they would've rather gone to longhorn.
Family dinner with both moms. Was as expected. Very good food. Good cocktails. Easy to maneuver. (One of the moms is in a wheelchair. ) Our go-to “nice” place in Concord.
The food and cocktails were amazing. The server was attentive but was not very informed on the menu items. Noise level was very high.
We enjoy the great location, the attentive service (very personable staff!) and the creative menu and drink selections. On our last visit we sat in the corner by the window and had a lovely, leisurely lunch before heading to a matinee at the Red River next door. No stress dining!
We had a late reservation for Valentine’s Day and stopped in early to eat at the bar. We were happily surprised when the hostess said she could give us a table! We were escorted to the best table in the restaurant! Our server was very accommodating and did not rush us at all. We had the ahi appetizer which was delicious. I had the salmon, my husband the Wagyu beef and both were excellent. Really had a great Valentine’s Day at a fantastic restaurant.
Toast points in appetizer were as hard as a rock! We were seated in function room used as an overflow section.
We always have a delicious meal and the service is superb
There were 6 of us for dinner on a very busy night, so the somewhat spotty service can be forgiven. The appetizers were good. Dinners were ok but at $25-$30 each not nearly worth the price. Some of the worst gnocchi I've ever had, more similar to pencil erasers than the lovely soft pillows I expected. The waitress tried to make it right by getting us another order, but the second was the same. She knew we weren't happy but did nothing more except to quickly get the check. Drinks were good, but took 20+ minutes to arrive. In the end only 1 of us was satisfied with his meal. None of us are likely to return to try again.
Food was terrible. I ordered rack of lamb and it was stuck to the bone.
First time there and was impressed with the food and overall experience. I will definitely go back and try sitting at bar for a beverage and appetizers
A family of six enjoyed a pre-theatre dinner before the annual NH Theatre Awards ceremonies at the Capitol Center for the Arts. "O" has great parking in the attached Concord public parking garage and is only a 3 minute wall over to the Theatre. Just park....free on a Saturday evening.....just park....eat...walk to the Theatre and back later.....really convenient.
Started with vodka and gin martinis...excellent, and soft drinks for the young ones. Shared salads, oysters on half shell, and grilled asparagus for appetizers...with a bag of bread. Entrees of baked 1/2 chicken, rack of lamb, mac n' cheese, steak tips/fries, and pot-stickers.....all served hot and were delicious.
We were on a tight schedule.....as were many other groups.....Joanna's service was friendly but efficient.......table was ready when we arrived and bill was handled quickly. She did a great job.
We had a great meal.....we also enjoy their sister restaurant, Canoe, in Bedford......the menu is a bit different but food and service is excellent as well.
Mediocre food and less than stellar service. Drinks seem to be about the only thing this restaurant does right. Too bad.
This restaurant is always wonderfully consistent with it's food. Sometimes the service can vary if one gets a new person but this night our waitress was wonderful, responsive and friendly..
The menu was restricted due to NYE but it certainly did not disappoint. In fact, it was the best meal we ever had here. I hope they offer the dessert menus for that night more often. The Espresso peppermint mouse was phenomenal. The small plate options were delicious and the flavor combinations that were offered was exemplary.
Great food, service and ambience. Special New Years 2017 to remember with my loving wife of 32 yrs.
A wonderful New Year's Eve dinner...great food... attentive service... hometown ambiance... enjoyed everything.
The Filet Mignon was one of the best I have ever had . . . as good as Ruth Chris :) No Rolls were served as they did the last time we ate there. The food was great . . . The Colossal Shrimp Cocktail was very good as well. A little pricey but good for special occaisions .
Outstanding as usual. The filet was cooked perfectly and was incredibly tender. Had the oscars version with lobster. Asparagus/ holanday sauce. So delicious!
Had a Saturday lunch here and food was excellent, service attentive and clearly the bar is a draw. Large pours and interesting options.
We recommended O's to our friends for a special "couples dinner" and we were not disappointed. It was greatly appreciated that our recommendation" exceeded expectations". I was very impressed with the email communication leading up to our reservation date, the follow up call to confirm the reservation and the immediate, prompt and friendly greeting when we arrived. Our server was "Outstanding" , very personable and impressed our friends with her knowledge of the menu and overall presentation. We are from Nashua and our friends are from Dracut MA and everyone will visit O's again for dinner. Thank you for a wonderful evening !
" A Very Satisfied Customer "
Unfortunately our experience was less than spectacular. We have eaten at O's a couple of times before, and the service is always just okay. We requested a corner table in the online reservation, but were given a different table. We made the request again once we were seated due to the noise level and a cold draft coming from the doorway which practically faces into the restaurant. Our server informed us that a large party was being seated in that corner that looked to be available. We quickly realized that the party she referred to ended up being seated right next to us instead and the corner remained empty the whole time we were dining. That, along with the fact that we never received bread prior to our meal, even though the tables around us received it, sealed the deal for us. Very disappointing. Although though we probably will not dine here again, we will continue to patronize the bar at this restaurant, as it is one of our favorites.
The one in Laconia is much better. Food was served to the wrong person which was fine but they cut up the steak and took a bite and instead of giving the correct person a whole new steak they just took what was already cut up and put the oscar on it and served it to the correct person. Rather disgusting if you ask me. They weren't even that busy to have the bill split in three checks took well over 30-40 minutes. The door in the front kept slamming too...might want to get that fixed. I will stick to going to the one in Laconia...better service.
Server was attentive and ambiance was perfect for our get together.
The waitress was pleasant and helpful. The food was to die for. I wasn't sure I was going to like my selection (Haddock, shrimp risotto, and jambalaya) but the combination made my taste buds come to life. It was exceptional and the fish was cooked to perfection. If you are a brussel sprouts lover, or even if you are not, I suggest this side. It was the best I ever had.
Good food and good service. They place was not busy when we arrive as a group of 6. The seating was nice and comfortable.
I love O and Canoe the food and drinks are the best.. it's perfect for date night or anniversary.
I will limit my comments to the reservation times which were available. I preferred a reservation at 6 pm since we had tickets for an 8 pm show. The latest reservation was 5:30 so I booked it. We arrived at 5:25 and were promptly seated. Around 6:15 I noticed that there were 10 tables open. Why were there no reservations open at 6:00 pm when clearly O's was not full of diners? I would have arrived at 6 pm if I had known.
Had the tuna which was fork tender and incredibly delicious along with the lobster Mac ‘n cheese...Yum-oh!!!!👍
Love this place. Ask for a corner table if you want it more quiet. Due to its structure, it can get loud. Food is excellent! My go to place for a special dinner in Concord.
An early dinner with friends after a show at the Capital Center for the arts. As always the food was delicious and did not disappoint.
Our server was less than pleased to serve my daughter and I. Came back to check in after we were nearly done eating.
Tenderloin tips over cooked. Ordered medium rare, came well done... would have sent them back, but server didn't check in...
Over cooked asparagus
Meatloaf- sauce... didn't exist
Stained table cloth
Need I continue?
Wine and beer selection were great as were appetizers. The meals were not well done and steak tips were super cheery. Desserts were also very good our waitress was not super attentive. Great place for just apps and beer and wine though!
We went to O before a show in town. We were seated right away (had a reservation). Server was polite and conscience of the show and time. Articulate about specials.
Food was very well priced. You can't get a prime beef strip steak anywhere for under 30 bucks. The meat was one of the best. Comparable to a 60 dollar steak in NYC. Seasoned perfectly.
We will be back!
Good dinner... our party of 8 was served last table of those around us - including many that sat after we did (sat after we already had appetizers). It was a busy night at restaurant. The food at O never disappoints!
If you want cafeteria food and ambiance at fine dining prices - this is the place for you. Awful food and experience.
I expected much better service. I could get better service at the Olive Garden. Doesn’t seem like that should be the case at a higher end restaurant.
Would have liked more food choices. Salad was excellent.
The experience was unimpressive:
noisy, ill timed salad and meal; inexperienced wait staff. Food was adequate. They seemed to be understaffed. We don't plan to return.
Perfect for a business lunch or after work get together. Not pricey for lunch and a good selection of salads, sandwiches and entrees. It wasn't very busy on the day I went and it was comfortable for conversation. Probably the best business lunch location in Concord.
We are frequent customers. Food is great and service has been good the last several visits. This is one of the most expensive restaurants in the area. It has been a favorite of ours since it opened and CR Sparks closed. Now there is a new CR in Hampton, but this is close to home for us.
