NYY Steak Ratings and Reviews
Came here for my 1 year anniversary, service was awesome very attentive and careing , food I was say was a little overpriced but it was tasty, I’d say my favorite was the crab cake appetizer very flavorful. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Our server even took our picture
Most everything was done very well. We were seated on time and the food was very good as was the service. What was not good was the wine selection. My guest is a wine and restaurant expert and he joined me here a year ago as well as twice this week. On each occasion either the wines he asked for were not available or the wrong years were brought out. When you order a $400 bottle of wine from 2009 and they bring you one from 2012 they show they know little about wine. First visit this week we were told the wine list is being updated but 5 days later it hadn't changed. Eventually they just bring out 4 or 5 different bottles so he can choose. If you want to be considered a fine-dining experience you have to do much better in this area.
Unfortunately the service was terrible. The server had no support or bus help making the evening a challenge. Food was outstanding as usual but with the bad service it killed the night. As a regular, this seems to be common place especially when the place is busy. Melvin, Sam and the bartenders are first rate and always spot on.
We come here every year for my birthday 12/31. This year we came the day before to eliminate some of the rushing. It was awesome as usual. Great Service, food was awesome. My husband had the the long bone, it melted in our mouth, of course we tried everyone's entre. I had the porterhouse which was juicy and done med rare. My son had the new york strip, bone in, He still believes the Long bone is by far the best. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the evening.
Been to NYY several times now. Truly the best steakhouse in the area. Better than Chops, Prime, Capitol, Ruth’s, Abe & Louie’s, and I've been to all of them. Inside the coconut creek casino but very quiet and reserved. Shout out to Stephanie an excellent server, ask for her, she is the best. Can’t wait till go back.
We ordered the 40oz Porterhouse for two. It was “good”. Had I ordered it from a regular restaurant I would have labeled it great or even amazing. Unfortunately, it was warm (nearly cold). We ordered medium not medium rare or rare. The quality of meat was amazing. The chief hit the mark regarding it being medium. At $110.00 for just the steak we expected perfection. The sides, wine, and service are amazing. We’ve been here three other times; we enjoy the restaurant. We will return - we just don’t expect to wowed by the meat.
Loved the crab cake appetizer. 1 was very good for sharing . Steaks were delicious.
Missed a little bit on flavoring . Mortons still has the best seasoning . The Augraten Potatoes were tooooo cheese but we ate them 😉. Brussels with bacon were sweet and delicious . We ordered another for a To-Go. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the apple crisp with ice cream dessert . Too big and something was off with the apples and flavoring. Weird taste . Excellent choice with wines and my decaf cappuccino was awesome too
The meal was very good. Special cuts of prime grade aged steak. Not the absolute best but very good. The sauces and table condiments were excellent. Cocktails were fantastic. The seafood tower was a bit overpriced for what you get. The service was very good and the waiter was helpful. He walked me over to see the the beef prep area and he took the time to explain the special cuts. He earned the 30% tip for that alone.
It is in a casino, so expect cigarette smoke to make it to your table. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to a friend because at the price points they have I would expect the food to be a 10 across the board. It was very good but not a 10. There are other 10s in town.
Food was outstanding, service could have been much better, Items were delivered to table with no explanation, small vodka martini. Waiter wasn't sure why either.
No explanation of assortment of sauces. Had to ask for candle to be lit as well. Not good for such a high end place. The steak was outstanding though.
Our 2nd visit. First visit was on a Monday night and was not so busy as it was Saturday night. It was so busy that our entrees took about 35 mins, by then we were so filled up with cranberry bread, pretzel and martinis (because we were "starving marvins" ) that we had to pack 3/4 of our yummy meal to go.
Love the ambience, love the food, love the service ..there will definitely be a 3rd visit.
NYY continues to provide good food and service. We have eaten at the restaurant Too many times to count and it is a nice change from the more common chain steakhouses like Mortons, Capital, or Ruth’s. Perhaps being located in a casino makes it more of a night out than a dinner but also overprices their menu. Their steaks are excellent and I would stick with them over the other menu items. The seafood and chicken are average. Overall an great meal at not such a great value.
Food quality was exceptional, service was very good, but I felt the server, who had two tables inside, with one also outside, and was over another table of eight was not giving the service that he could have. He was very good, but overextended.
I would easily go back to NYY, it was exceptional.
First my reservation was wrong. I had a party of 2 at 715. We called to confirm because we thought it might be for 730 and they said they had me for a party of 3 at 815. Not even close.
We went for my Bday which was in the reservation. I took almost 10-15 minutes for 'anyone' to arrive at the table. The NY Strip Bone In steaks were tasteless and incredibly expensive which I knew going in. The crab cakes were ok, the bacon was eating shoe leather, the corn bread was not sweet at all, but the chocolate cake was amazing.
We have been to NYY numerous times and the food as always been great, as well as the service. This time, the food was outstanding as usual, but the service was unusually below par. We went on an off night, not very crowded other than a big party taking up 2 tables with about 20-30 people. The rest of the restaurant was empty. Our food took an extremely long time to come out, the waiter had to keep coming out to let us know our food was next in line. What usually was an hour dinner turned to 2 hours by the time we were done. The main reason for the delay given by the server was that the big party taking up 2 tables screwed up the timing of the rest of the tables. This would be understandable if the the big party had just showed up without any reservations, but I would assume that a party of 20-30 people coming was known well in advance which the restaurant should have been prepared for. Hopefully this was just an off night for service, as the food is always great.
Terrific steaks!!! Exceptional service, Dave and Dave are consummate professionals. The executive chef took time to recreate a special from a couple weeks ago, Delmonico steak topped with crab— fantastic!! You cannot get better steaks or service anywhere!!!
