NYY Steak - Yankee Stadium Ratings and Reviews
I rarely complain. The nicest part about the dinner was the Yankees won, the drinks were good and the ambiance was different than any other steak house we had been to; it was in Yankee Stadium. Other than that it was awful. The service was terrible, the food was terrible. The staff was clearly not on their game the night we went.
I was truly disappointed and will not return.
Over all the first time experience there was good. The place was comfortable but the seating was tight and it was a bit loud and hard to carry a conversation. The ribeye steak was what I was hoping for and it was perfect! We started with french onion soup and I was a bit disappointed with the taste of that, but the spinach salad was excellent! Our service was terrific and I was glad that we were not rushed through dinner. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to enjoy a special occasion dinner here, it was kind of pricey but but expected for a NYC steakhouse. I would come back again!
Went for a Yankee playoff game ....Packed...Very busy...Seated promptly...Bacon slab overdone...Delmonico Steak was pretty small for the money, creamed spinach tasteless...The server brought out two Delmonico steaks one got my wife medium and got me medium rare...I asked her did she have them right and she assured me yes...Well guess what WRONG ....
Overall a very good experience once we were able to get in. Our reservation was for 4:30 (gametime 7:38) and gates were not open. I was told to wait in line at Gate 6. After waiting 35 minutes I finally found someone (after speaking with 8 various staff members) to escort us through the line and in the stadium. Specific instructions directing us to a designated entrance would have been nice. Not the great experience I was hoping to have with my client.
How do they not have this process down by now???
Premium price for poor execution...your customers are affluent and have choices....
Great steaks !!! Hands down. The food is always excellent. Amazing wine list. Wonderful waitstaff. If you’re going to go to Yankee Stadium, you must have dinner here first. The only downside is it’s always extremely loud it, you always need a reservation, and the Hostess staff is usually preoccupied, don’t care, too busy not caring or just don’t see you to even bother to give you a table. They know that they’re the only game in town and they have their noses as far up in the air as possible. It’s sad in this day and age that you have to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to go to a baseball game only to be ignored at the steakhouse that’s going to cost you another few hundred. There’s team support, then there is getting ripped off by the stadium.
The food is delicious but this restaurant is very expensive. My sister and I have had dinner here before but our bill this year was higher than its ever been. We like to treat ourselves once a year but at $400 for that two of us it may have been our last year!
Been to NYY Steak many times after Yankee games...always great service, great food, great wine and great atmosphere. This was our first trip where we found our usual buffalo mozz. appetizer "upgraded" to burrata...just beautiful. You can count on us to visit NYY Steak many more times in the future. 9In fact, we visit your site in Manhattan whenever in the neighborhood).
Amazing!!! I had lunch here with a few clients and he staff was great. The food was delicious and the options were perfect.
we had two young children with us and the manager offered them ice cream for dessert which was a very nice gesture.
thye made us feel special.
This place, located within Yankee Stadium, was absolutely outstanding, in all aspects of service, food quality, food presentation, appearance, and cleanliness. The only negative aspect of this experience was the cost of dining. Be prepared to spend $100 per person, including tip, for 1 appetizer, 1 entree, and 1 side; no drinks.
Staff was friendly, professional, efficient. Service was excellent, without being overbearing or intrusive. Comfortable, attractive ambiance, with lovely table settings, blue leather armchairs, white tablecloths. The food was delicious.. Chipotle butter and blue cheese butter were wonderful touches for the warm, soft, pretzel dough rolls. Filet mignon cooked to perfection. It needed nothing for flavor. Cheesecake was a generous, delicious portion. Garlic potatoes the creamiest I've ever had. We didn't want alcohol, but the iced tea was brewed fresh and ice cold. The restaurant was full, but the noise level was perfectly comfortable for conversation. The entire experience was enjoyable beyond our expectations.
This was my second time at NYY Steak and the experience was just as good as the first. We were celebrating my husband's birthday prior to going to the game and our server Curtis was extremely efficient and knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations that did not disappoint. I requested a different table than the one we were assigned and were immediately shown to one with a better view (not that there is a bad seat in the place, we just wanted one adjacent to a window.) Curtis and the other young man attending our table anticipated all of our needs, filling glasses and clearing the table as soon as our courses were done. The food was wonderful, everyone at the table was very pleased with their meal. My filet was done to perfection; my only regret was that I couldn't finish it, a result of having indulged too much in the seafood tower appetizer, pricey but worth every bit of the expense. It's a treat to dine there but it is a fantastic venue to mark a special occasion.
After an initial experience when it first opened that did not go well (multiple kitchen errors), this time everything was fine. The food came out quickly and was very good. The salads are very large and can easily be shared. The sides are decent size also. A bit of a wait (a lot of late arrivals -- it is Yankee Stadium and you do have to park), but overall a good experience.
My son and I were traveling to NYC from San Francisco, he goes to college here. We had a great meal before the Yanks-Red Sox game. Had a great conversation with the couple seated next to us who graciously shared their appetizers with us. Food was incredible, we will be back!
Made a reservation for 6:30. Got seated at 7:00. Bathroom facilities inadequate for size of restaurant. Food good but for the price, you should get nothing less. Great prelude to the ballgame. Very noisy. Excellent steaks. Shrimp cocktail - best jumbo shrimp cocktail year after year.
Difficult review because this is the first time we ate there at prime time (in between games of a doubleheader). The restaurant filled up quickly but the staff was unable to handle the influx. As usual we were packed together like sardines but the four tables in our section had the same incompetent waitress. Drinks took forever. Orders were mixed up and came out randomly. The couple sitting next to us got their appetizers 10 minutes before ours and their dinners after we had finished ours. The management was accommodating and corrected all of the mistakes and made the grand gesture of buying me a cup of coffee. So generous on a $120/person meal. 🙄
