Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan the New York Yankees Steakhouse is a destination for baseball fans and gourmands alike. Since opening in November 2013, we have gone beyond the traditional American steakhouse to create a unique dining experience that infuses one of America’s greatest pastimes - baseball - into its decor and menu offerings. Executive Chef John Schafer leads the kitchen best known for its variety of high-quality specialty steaks, including USDA Prime cuts, as well as fresh five-star seafood, satisfying sides and indulgent desserts.

NYY Steak Midtown- New York Yankees Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I flew from Atlanta for my birthday so that says a lot. I love the place even if I weren't a Yankee fan. I've been here before so I knew how the quality and service was going to be like. I haven't been here since you guys opened but everything is still the same quality everything, the only thing I didn't get was the Vulcano cake with the 151 since you guys don't do that anymore haha. However everything was great. Thank you!
As a Yankee fan, my fiance and I wanted to try this place. It's cool seeing all the memorabilia on throughout the restaurant.
The food we very good. Fiance has the loaded potato soup, and I had the crispy octopus as an appetizer. For the main course, we had the porterhouse for 2 along with creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese. The steak had a good crust, and it was a perfect medium pink on the inside. Sides were tasty as well.
A bit overpriced as I've definitely been to better steakhouses. It's not on the same quality of food as Peter Lugers, but the price is is similar.
If you're a Yankee fan, it's worth a 1 time try but that'st about it.
Wanted a steak restaurant near the Rockefeller Center and this absolutely fitted the bill with the bonus of some Yankee memorabilia which is subtly displayed. The big screen showing sport was a bit of a distraction. Is it a restaurant with food that speaks for itself or a themed sports restaurant? The prices say the former, the ambiance in danger of being the latter. I enjoyed the NY strip steak which was a perfect medium rare. On balance a good meal with friendly and informal service.
We visited for my Husbands birthday. We requested to be seated on the raised area but on arrival were told there was a private party and we were seated in a corner by the lift. Our server was excellent and advised us on our menu choice. Our soup starter was superb but filled us up probably too much. Our filet mignon was cooked to perfection but left little room for fries. The bill of £120 was more than we would ever pay in England but hey, this was a special occasion.
I enjoyed the steak, but felt a bit rushed during the dinner. I'm assuming they were trying to get the table free. I went there for an anniversary dinner which I mentioned on the reservation page of the web site, but there was no mention of the anniversary from the staff. I had the Filet Mignon which was a very nice steak. Overall, its in a neighborhood very close to Radio City, so there was a lot of tourist traffic about. It was a bit noisy in the restaurant, so not recommended if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner. Overall, I enjoyed my experience, but wish it could have been more satisfying.
We were there celebrating a birthday. I have two boys, ages 8 and 12, who thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed both the food and the experience. Our waitress was phenomenal. The food was great. The atmosphere was lively, yet mostly quiet and very relaxed. I’ve been to several landmark NYC steakhouses and NYY Steakhouse provides food, drink, and ambience on par with all of them.
Excellent service! My waitress had a smile at all times and was very knowledgeable on the menu. The boss even stopped by our table to thank us for choosing to celebrate our anniversary with them, I loved the personalized service. Memorabilia from the Yankees decorated the restaurant in such a classy way and my boyfriend absolutely loved the atmosphere. Everyone was excited and responsive to the live game! The short rib dish was absolutely DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!!
