The Brazilian "Churrasco" has been a tradition for generations in Southern Brazil, where Gauchos (Brazilian Cowboys) pierced large pieces of meat and slowly grilled them over open flamed pits.
With a fixed price and this unique style of barbecue, Novilhos features continuous service of sixteen selections of beef, chicken, pork, lamb and sausage, all slowly spin-roasted, preserving their natural flavors and textures.
When perfectly grilled, these delectable cuts are brought to you directly from the grill and expertly served by our carvers, dressed in Gaucho attire.
Novilhos' unique concept also offers an elaborated and sumptuous salad buffet with a variety of fresh cut vegetables, gourmet salads and side dishes, along with imported cheeses, cold cuts and other tasty seasonal items.

Food was great but WAY OVER PRICED one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever been to. For some reason I thought going in the price was $32 a person when I got the bill discovered it was $55 a person and nowhere before the meal did I see prices as there really was no menu and I did not ask as I had reviewed the website and missed the prime time prices I guess. I can spend half that amount for the same level of food quality, service and ambience at other restaurants.
Great Brazilian meats served on skewers in an all you can eat arrangement. The filet mignon and top sirloin were especially good, and the lamp chops were excellent. Also enjoyed the endless sides of mashed potatoes and fried plantains. Not cheap so definitely a special occasion place.
Our waitress was not the most attentive and even forgot to bring my husband's beer out. But when I brought it to her attention it was on the house which was nice and they didn't have to do that. The gauchos bringing the meat around were awesome and right there as soon as you turned your card over. The salad bar was amazing. Definitely recommend trying this place out especially if you love meat!!!
We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation because we were so excited to eat there and they actually seated us when we got there. The servers were on point and were very considerate to our requests and made sure we got to taste all of our favorite cuts of meat. Their picanha is hard to top, but their garlic steak and leg of lamb was pretty awesome, too. We really enjoyed our experience here! Thanks, Novilhos!
The food and service was outstanding, but the whole evening was ruined by sitting at the worst table in the restaurant. Imagine being on display in the middle of the restaurant with people standing around you and walking by you while you eat. Buyer beware.
It's rather unfortunate since I requested a secluded table.
Took my friend and his family to experience Brazillian. We've been to Fogo De Chao and their selection of the salad bar was limited and not as tasty as Novilhos. The servers were constantly bringing different meats and informed us if we want a certain type of meat, just let one of the server know and they will bring it. My wife and her friend requested lamb and garlic steak and they constantly brought these two type of meats to our table. Everything tasted great and we really enjoyed the food.
Dine in around 8:30pm,waiting for meat almost 30mins.And the man who served the meat walk around our table but never ask if we need the food.So we just cram ourselves with the food from salad bar.The chicken thighs and BBQ ribs was so dry and hard,it was like the leftovers of yesterday.And beef and pork tasted so salty!I can’t believe we paid around 110 dollars to eat this recooked meat.It definitely not worth this price.Never comeback again.Highest price,terrible service,horrible taste.
If you love meat, Novilhos is THE BEST.
I would not recommend the place if you cannot eat a lot of meat; they still have a delicious buffet table with a Wide variety of delicious and healthy options, but the price is not worth the buffet alone.
Also the value is only worth it if you are hungry!!
My fiancee and I would live there if we could afford it.
The person seated us only let us know of the selection of water no other beverages. When asked for a list she just dropped the wine list at the table. When we ready to leave she had to be asked repeatedly for our check. Then gave us a dying pen to sign it. Food was good though.
The food was good. The service was very slow. When unable to locate a server for assistance we asked the hostess who told us to find our server.
We ordered dessert from a tray of delicious looking options only to be told 10 minutes later they were out of what was ordered. The restaurant music was loud and several diners were speaking loud to talk over the music. I was unable to hear people talking to me at our table.
The drinks took an extraordinary amount of time to receive. The bill was incorrect charging full price for a child and for a drink never received. This process was also quite slow. Our family of 4 spent over 2 hours at this restaurant.
Unfortunately we were only able to get a reservation near the end of brunch. We'd been here three times before but for dinner. Our experience wasn't nearly as pleasant this time. Most of the meats were dry and bland, we kept getting overlooked and were seated near a large table of twelve who were very loud and disruptive. We left sooner than expected due to the noise level.
Right off the bat, this place had a rustic feeling. With that said, the place is very neat and clean. I will probably the bottom sirloin steak that they offer is the best tasting meat (especially when it comes right off the grill) and the second best was the house special. The waiters/waitresses were very kind and get you whatever you need in order for you to have the best time at the restaurant. Their salad buffet was okay. Had decent variety of dishes that you can put on your plate, but my favorite had to be the Ceviche.
Overall, this place was great and the food tasted great. The only reason I have it 4 star is because it is a little pricey, and for the price that you are paying for, I thought there would be more.
Novilhos used to be our favorite family place for special occasions. We loved the food, and the great service. Last Sunday we went to the Bellevue Novilhos (SLU closed) and it was a huge disappointment. The meat was poor quality, hard to chew, raw and with a lot of fat. When I say raw, I mean completely raw :( Even when we asked for a well done meat, we received raw meat. Novilhos will have to get back to offer good quality meat if they don´t want to close this branch too. We are definitely not going back in a long time. :(
For my husband’s birthday We decided to visit this restaurant to enjoy meats and salads. Alas, the salad bar did not offer anything worthy of a vegetarian option. Not only were the selections few nothing tasted good. Fortunately my husband and sons did enjoy some of the meats. We did not see 16 meat choices available and when we left there was a note on the door stating that they had to close early due to problems with their grill. Also, the flan was watery and fell apart. The price is very high for the food that we experienced. We were frequent visitors of Brazilian restaurants in Utah and Florida, this was a major disappointment.
I love this restaurant. The meat is always amazing (the house special is my favorite), and the service is spectacular. The passadores (meat waiters) will actually start remembering which cuts of meat you prefer, and how you like your meat cooked. The salad bar is also amazing, and I have literally (not figuratively, I know the difference) had dreams about their mushroom risotto and woken up drooling. I absolutely adore it. This restaurant is among my top five restaurants in the entire Seattle area, and I will even sit in rush hour traffic to get there. I'd suggest you give it a try at least once; it's an experience you won't forget.
We started off with reservations at 7:30pm and realized that the restaurant was packed, we didn't get seated until 7:40pm which wasn't too bad. I can't remember the waitresses name but she was very sweet. She was very accommodating and asked if we were ready for drinks. My friends ordered wine and beer and I was interested in a cocktail, she opened up the drink menu and recommended the first cocktail with a strawberry flavor which I accepted, I recall looking at the drink and thinking "wow, $7 for a mixed drink, that's fantastic." Didn't realize that it was a $12 until the bill came which I mentioned the price the original waitress showed me, which she acknowledged was the happy hour drink prices. I'm glad I only got 1 drink.
When it came to the food, we had the green/red tokens to indicate if we wanted more food. So when our tokens were on green, we expected them to come and serve us the delicious meats which they did. Once we got a full plate, we turned our tokens to red... but they continued to stop at our table and offer us more meat. We also turned it to red so that we could continue our conversation but our conversations were interrupted each time they came around. We didn't see the point of the tokens because they came even when it was red.
All the meat they offered was delicious, the chicken, the chicken wrapped bacon, the sausage and spicy sausage. The pork I found to be dry, but everything else was great. The salad bar was amazing with all the different options. They kept it well stocked so I enjoyed the salad bar very much.
By the end of the meal, our water was only filled once at the beginning and never again. When the billed was dropped off by a different waitress (than our original), when we asked for the check to be split, it seemed like it was an ordeal to split the checks. Once we paid, we never saw another waitress again and we probably sat there finishing our conversation for another 20 minutes.
They didn't have our reservation. Not sure if this was a fail on their part or OpenTable but since they choose to use OT then it's basically theirs. Since this was for our anniversary i would have expected the staff to do something a little nicer than our hostess just saying "happy anniversary" after seating us. Food was very good, but not really worth the 120 dollars I dropped pre-tax for 2 people to eat. A lot of their stuff is on the rare side on first pass, so if you prefer your meats more well done then you'll want to let the staff know as they make their rounds serving. We enjoyed the leg of lamb, house prime, and garlic steak the most out of everything we had.
