The Brazilian "Churrasco" has been a tradition for generations in Southern Brazil, where Gauchos (Brazilian Cowboys) pierced large pieces of meat and slowly grilled them over open flamed pits.

With a fixed price and this unique style of barbecue, Novilhos features continuous service of sixteen selections of beef, chicken, pork, lamb and sausage, all slowly spin-roasted, preserving their natural flavors and textures.

When perfectly grilled, these delectable cuts are brought to you directly from the grill and expertly served by our carvers, dressed in Gaucho attire.

Novilhos' unique concept also offers an elaborated and sumptuous salad buffet with a variety of fresh cut vegetables, gourmet salads and side dishes, along with imported cheeses, cold cuts and other tasty seasonal items.

There was a Seattle location at one point that my spouse and I dined at a couple years ago, which sparked our desire to try this location for our anniversary this past week. The staff was lovely, very personable and welcoming. The insects were also. A huge spider greeted us at our table and almost caused me to pass out. I didn’t make a scene though. I was able to catch it in a napkin and pass it off to a nearby waiter.

The food was alright. The sides and salad bar seemed to have been sitting out far longer than desirable, but the meats were good when not too dry. We have a strong balance of fine dining and eating well at home so I know good food then I see and taste it. This location wasn’t it. I spent $141 and was highly disappointed in the quality of the meal. I personally wouldn’t go back.

It would of been nice to get some Anniversary lil present or so for them being such a nice restaurant, but it’s still good. The servers were very nice but seemed to be distracted at times. Didn’t refill water till we were about to leave, also were talking about tips in the dining area where we could over hear lol... it’d be better to talk about it behind the door lol.. but hey they’re people too so it’s all good. I’d super recommend :) thank you!

Food was great and they weren't shy about keeping bringing us food. The only thing that was a little off was a guy was going around asking if people wanted to try a drink and made it seem like a sample but in reality it actually cost us money and he made no mention of that.

The sheer number of salads and hot dishes was remarkable, and then various types and cuts of meat were brought around, one at a time. Only dedicated carnivores would go to this place, a second time. Food was good, but nothing special for the price.

We dined there at lunch on Saturday. The salad bar/buffet was good and the rodizio steaks were good as well, but the atmosphere did not feel Brazilian at all. One of the reasons we pay an exorbitant price (for lunch, and for dinner it is even more expensive) is because we expect great food (which, to be fair, it was) and to feel that cheerful, colorful Brazilian culture - which, unfortunately, was not there at all. What I found most displeasing yet was the fact that we went on September 7th, which is Brazil's biggest national holiday - independence day, and there was not one single craft or banner celebrating it - worse yet, the folks working there (host, waiter, and rodizio workers that I had contact with) did not even know about that (none of them were Brazilian)... I could have been at Daniel's Broiler and would have fared much better on all accounts.
Altogether it was a disappointing experience compared to the expectations one has when going to a Brazilian Steakhouse.

This is our go to place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, etc. salad bar is amazing and the various cuts of meat are so delicious.

We live in Alki but made it out to dinner for my husband’s birthday and we’re blown away by the service and quality of food. The restaurant is airy and clean. The food bar had salads and the perfect accompaniments for the delicious meats. The house special was our favorite meat. My husband loved the risotto. I, the Brazilian version of Pico de Gallo ( I forgot the name). Both of our Capirhinas drinks were delicious. They have a creme brûlée that looked delicious, we’ll have to return for that. And the hostess/waitresses and people handling the meat were all helpful, efficient and provided a wonderful environment. I wish we had something similar in Alki.

My husband and I recently went to Fogo de Chao, and decided to try Novilhos. Everything was delicious, however I did notice the paper towels under the dishes at the salad bar, which I found a bit tacky, but other than that good experience!

The oven was broken so no mashed or scalloped potatoes unfortunately. The service, however, was amazing!! I love the waitresses and the guys who serve the steak. They're all so very friendly and remember my little family.

This is my 3rd visit. I am brought my family members on each visit. The food and service have been consistently spot on. The cost is a little pricey as it is high but with the Groupon, it made it just right. I would definitely come back a 4th time and pass on my experience.

The dining room was quite loud and it made conversation difficult. We had to ask 3-4 times for a cut of meat we wanted and it wasn't until a manager was told that we received it and our server was quite absent most of the meal.

Always a great dinner. I enjoy the the fact the servers ask if there is a specific cut of meat you’d like and then they appear. Their “salad bar” is great but easy to fill up on. Highly recommend making reservations. Great service and great food makes for a great dinner!

Didnt get any of the plantains or mashed potatoes brought to us. Smallest salad bar out of all I've been to. All the steak was dry. Loud kids running around. Worst experience I've had at any of these.

Best restaurants I’ve been to in Bellevue so far I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves food that has a good taste and value. And I would definitely go back for more. Me and my wife had a great time and we enjoy our night. Every one in there was friendly the staff are very helpful. Easily I give this restaurant Five Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meat was ok. Two of the salad dressings each has separated and were essentially flavored water. Not good for this price. I expected more potato selections beside some small roasted potatoes. Lots of garlic on everything. I like garlic but it usually is a bad chef's way of getting by. If you end up with an eighty dollar bill I don't understand why they need a couple dollars more charging for soda water. Other high priced venues do not do that nor does Red Robin. For the high price I did not see the selection in the salad bar I expected. I know many people who like this place and I am just one who expected higher quality and value for the moneyl

The sides were good but very rich, lots of oils and creams, meat quality was poor, very fatty, I have had better cuts of meat at local bars. Definitely not worth the price.

The meat is always delicious and the service is attentive and warm. The thing that sets Novilhos apart from the other options in town is how nice the salad bar is. The options are fresh and plentiful. This was a birthday dinner and we were thrilled with the amazing mead selection, and pleasantly surprised with a free birthday dessert. We will be back!

The salad and sides were pretty good, the best thing I ate was the risotto. The waitress was very inexperienced, we ordered a Chianti and she brought us a merlot instead. The people serving the meat missed our table quite often as we were seated in the back corner. The meat was a huge disappointment, everything was severely over cooked expect for the few items that were still raw. Had BBQ rids served to me, they were covered with black burnt bbq sauce and ribs were very dry. Chicken wrapped with bacon required several sips of wine and water to wash down. Usually chicken is cooked to 165f, they were at least 200f. The ribeye was practically raw and extremely tough and chewy. I believe they must be serving usda select and not choice. I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

The restaurant was packed considering it was Father's Day but the staff did an amazing job with not appearing overwhelmed. The bartender was friendly and conversational while we waited. The meat selections were frequent yet not repetitive and the visual dessert menu was enticing. Definitely worth the price

This was my 7th time to Novilhos. This time was like others, but the buffet was not as good and I got sick later. I really enjoy this restaurant and my wife loves the meat. The buffet items were not as good this time. The restaurant served American-style potato salad instead of Brazilian potato salad. Brazilian is better. The feijoada and chicken stroganoff tasted the same, but the shrimp risotto was very bland, lacking creamy flavor. The chimichurri sauce was all vinegar and tasted nothing like the awesome sauce it usually is. I really enjoyed the addition of fresh pineapple. It was sweet, delicious and helped with meat digestion. The pao de queso was good, but not as rich as I am use to. The polenta and bananas were the same and very good. The side of mash potatoes was different and not as delicious as before, but the meat is the real reason we come here.
The meat servers did an excellent job at service. They were fast, professional, polite and sometimes funny. They even would give my wife two pieces when she asked. Every cut of beef was medium rare just the way we like it. Almost every cut of beef was juicy and had good flavor. The chicken thighs were perfectly cooked. The beef ribs were a little dry, but still good. The garlic steak is usually something I skip because it is overcooked and has too much garlic, but a meat cutter convinced me to try it and it was fantastic. Not too much garlic, juicy and full of flavor with tenderness and beef fat. The fillet mignon was tender and perfectly cooked. Usually it is tender, but lacking flavor.
My biggest complaint was that after we had tried all the meats the second round of cuts were extremely salty. Everything was too salty and this later is what probably made me sick. All I could taste was salt and I did not want to eat anymore. I strongly suggest the head chef and cutters occasionally eat small pieces of meat to check the salt level. I like salt on my meat, but this was too much for me. We will return.

Service was slow and unorganized. While there is a bit of chaos with this type of service there is usually somewhat of a pattern. Servers literally skipped entire portions of the room (us specifically) several times during their paths. We actually only had a fraction of items offered because we were magically skipped over.

Several meats were under-seasoned and rather chewy compared to the texture and temp they should have been.

The house liquor sample - is actually the only way to get the liquor - you actually can't order it and it;'s 7$ a shot that includes the "sample".

We actually had to stop someone to ask for the bill - and that was after 40 minutes of waiting for ANYONE to stop at our table.
