NOVE Italiano Ratings and Reviews
service was terrible... they were very understaffed for a Saturday night. We were seated so far off to the side of the restaurant that it felt like we were in a private dining room. On top of that there were only 2 of us and they sat us at a table for 6. We had 3 different people try to take our order, a clear indication that there was no communication between the staff. The food was good but not worth the trip to the palms. Bolognese, gnocchi and filet were all very good.
I understand that most people were eating there prior to the Idena Menzel concert, however preparing for it in advance would have helped. We waited for over 1 hour without any of our food coming out. Finally got a manger involved. We had them fire all the food instead of in courses so we could eat. Food finally came out and we had to scarf it down to leave in time. Had a $25 off coupon and the waiter, Javier, only took off $15. Had to have him redo it.
We have lived in Las Vegas for over 50 years and it was the worst restaurant service we have ever had in any restaurant. We waited 0ver 20 minutes for water and a menu and the only way we got that was by asking the hostess. We never did know who our waiter was, and when our order was finally taken, we waited half an hour for our glasses of wine. These were brought by the bus girl whom we had asked about our order. A manager came by an apologized for the slow service. His reason was that they were busy. My husband replied it is a Saturday night on a holiday weekend you are supposed to be busy. We were not the only people complaining about the service. Obviously they have a problem scheduling their help. The restaurant was not full.
What a disappointing experience. I was there before a concert and allowed more than enough time with a 6pm reservation and the concert in the hotel at 8. I actually was seated by 5:45 and didn't receive bread or a first course for over an hour. We had to ask 8 times for bread and water and all service people looked frantic trying to serve the crowd. We were the first 3 people seated and rushed out with multiple wrong bills to make the concert. I still have 3 incorrect pending charges on my AMEX and the final one is still $3 off. I had made the reservation on Open Table weeks ahead to celebrate my Aunt's 80th birthday and then a coupon was sent to my email for $25 off, which we handed to them 3 times and still wasn't taken off until we did the final bill for the third time. The bread was wrong for an Italian restaurant. The food was good when finally presented, but not hot and not served pleasantly. I don't like giving negative reviews, especially in my own town, but this one is deserved.
The food is amazing, the ambiance is romantic, the service emmaculet, and the view of the Las Vegas valley is spectacular.
If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a comfortable and romantic location, where the food isn't too pricey, this is a winner!
Over all food was great until the main course for the person we had the dinner for. 2 of us ordered the surf and turf. The most expensive on the menu, not that this should make a difference but neither guest enjoyed theirs very much. Both Steaks over cooked even though both had different preferences. Very little flavour and same went for the lobster tails. As this was the main course and everything before was awesome it was a bit of a let down as this isn't difficult to do. Medium rated restaurants can easily get this right why not a high end and expensive restaurant? As I say good other than these 2 mains other plates very tasty. Good sized portions. In fact my friend and I could have shared our main. We thankfully didn't order extra sides. Wine very good and so was staff who did go out of their way to surprise our birthday guest with some mini deserts which again, very yummie. View was lovely looking over Vegas.
Service was wonderful. Place is beautiful. View is amazing, if you get window seat. It is probably even better at night. Food was overpriced, not very authentic, no real flavor. The portions were a decent size. Maybe appetizers, desset, drinks by window eould be good .
Was going to concert at the Pearl so looking for dinner before, this is how I picked the restaurant but I was so pleasantly surprised. First the location is awesome, I also like that it is quiet with only people going the restaurant having access to it.
The menu was interesting and they had good offer of the day suggestions. We shared a classic caprese salad, which was enough given the plate of pasta we had. My friend had a seafood pasta and I had the lobster ravioli. That gave us room for desert of bread pudding and strawberry carpaccio.
Service was attentive, everyone including buss boy staff were smiling, manager came to check on tables. We felt welcome and appreciated as a customer.
I live in Las Vegas, The Palms is usually not a destination but with this experience at the restaurant I will definitely go back again for dinner
A bit pricey ($160 for 2) for pasta dishes but food was very good as was the atmosphere on the 51st floor. Dishes are large and easily shared. Views were nice. You can see Rio perfectly as well as the Strip from Palazzo to Stratosphere in the distance to downtown in the far distance. I didn't realize it but this place was bought out by Station Casinos, though they don't really advertise it.
We came here for my birthday dinner and Ernesto, our waiter, made my evening so special! The food and drinks were excellent! The menu has so many scrumptious options, it was extremely difficult to choose our entrees! We went with lobster bisque and a salad to start, both were excellent! I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had a steak for dinner with broccolini and sautéed mushrooms as our sides. Seriously amazing food! And then they brought me tiramisu with a candle for dessert! So spoiled!
There are at least four of us from our company that travel to Las Vegas 2 - 3 times a year for trade shows. We had our first dinner at Nove about 5 or 6 years ago and it was exceptional. It quickly became our "go to" restaurant each time we are in town. Sadly, the past 3 or 4 dinners have been quite disappointing. On each of these occasions our food has arrived at our table less than warm, often just room temperature. Not a good thing when some of the dishes have a sauce which becomes congealed when it cools to room temp. And, this is not an inexpensive restaurant! The first time our food arrived cold we chalked it up to a "one time" experience and didn't mention it to our server. Unfortunately, cold food now appears to be the rule rather than the exception. We brought the issue to the attention of our server on our last visit and her response was to offer us a complimentary dessert. While we appreciated her gesture, it was of little compensation as we never order dessert. Although the actual flavors of the food are very good, even the tastiest dishes become unappealing and are disappointing when they arrive at the table cold rather than hot. We have loved this restaurant and always look forward to booking a reservation each time we are in town. Sadly, we are considering a change of venue for our next trip. Our tab at Nove usually amounts to at least $600 or $700. At this price, we expect the food to be of a higher and more consistent quality.
Not a good experience at all. Business casual? There were several patrons there in shorts and flip-flops. Our service was a joke, waitress forgot our drink orders on two seperate occassions and the busboy asked my girlfriend out on a date. Seriously. Poorly managed place, as a local I can tell you that Las Vegas has countless better Italian restaurants then Nove.
This was a special Date Night with my beautiful bride in Las Vegas. We picked NOVE Italiano at the recommendation of a friend, and walking in we were struck with how beautiful the dining room was, and with the breathtaking view of the north strip.
Our wait staff, lead by Earnesto (I believe that was his name) did a great job with explaining menus, specials and options, and everything was great until my Surf and Turf was delivered.
I had ordered it medium rare, and it was well done... no pink at all. It was still moist and flavorful, but for $65 I decided that I wanted it done properly.
Earnesto took the meal back, and while I was waiting for a fresh plate I was offered a ravioli appetizer (which was appreciated as my wife was eating her meal, and tasted great).
Then my replacement meal came out, and the gentleman who brought it out suggested that I cut into it... which I did and found that it was still raw in the center. There is a difference between raw and pink, and this was definitely raw.
At this point, the restaurant staff fell over themselves in apologies. In addition to the visit from the restaurant manager, he offered us another round of drinks as well as a dessert (in which we declined, so he took off the cost of our side dish instead). Between the drinks, app and side dish that was taken off the tab... it must have been close to $50.
The third attempt at the steak was much better. Still not perfect, but defiantly edible.
Again, I appreciate that the staff was very apologetic and made strides to make it better. But all that said, it added about 30 extra minutes to our meal, and had my wife watching me eat for most of that time. Luckily our next plans weren't time-dependent, but if they were this would have been very frustrating.
