NOVE Italiano Ratings and Reviews
Took about 10 to 15 minutes for our waiter to recognize us and there were maybe 4 other parties In the entire restaurant. Food was decent but no where near worth the price. Your paying for the view and that's about it. Not worth it by any means, terrible service and food was mediocre at best.
Great views of LV from the top of the Palms. Food is tasty, we had the Fillet Mignon (~$56) and it came perfectly medium-rare. No sides included in their entree options.
Death by Potatoes was an upscale version of mashed potatoes, also good.
Recommend reserving ahead to get a window seat, we sat in the middle of the room.
Overall, great for a business lunch/dinner or date. Pricier side but come for the views and stay for the food
We had very high expectations but were let down a bit. Salads were very average, chicken Parmesan was very greasy and not much sauce, the pasta sauce was comparable to a jar sauce and they did not have proper sauces for the steaks.
Wine was expensive but that is expected.
We would not return.
Located on the top of the the Fantasy Tower at the Palms casino, this restaurant was beyond amazing than i expected. The atmosphere is a romantic setting with the most amazing guest service i have experienced. It has an amazing view of the city especially at night. The servers treat you with 5 star service and always make sure your drinks are full.
Food was so tasty and would recommend for an appetizer the cheese platter. I had the filet mignon with a huge loaded potato and the salmon which was cooked to protection. I would recommend if you want to spend a beautiful evening with a special someone and if you don't mind spending a bit. I would definitely return.
Arrived on time for our reservation but when we arrived at the table they had already seated someone there. We were seated in a unused portion of the restaurant with no view. Dark and no service. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Never received bread for the table. My pasta was under sauced and dry. Our waiter never checked on us and we had to flag down staff to get our check so we could leave. Forget water, a second round of drinks. We were in no mans land. Horrid service. My friend enjoyed her entree, we agree mine was sub-par. We had some great meals with fabulous service while in Vegas. This was just terrible. Save your time and money. There are too many fabulous Italian restaurants to choose from.
We dined here before and enjoy the view and the food before was good (not great but good). This time the food was a disgrace. The Pappardelle were a mushy ball of something, the steak was OK, the side of mushrooms cold and tasteless.
Would no longer recommend as there are many placed with comparable view, better foor and not quite as overpriced.
There were four of us in the dinner party. At the top of the tower, the view of Las Vegas at night was outstanding, but if you sit in the middle of the restaurant you will see a lot of the Palms tower blocking the view. The food was mostly very good to outstanding; however, surprisingly, the pasta itself was just good, tending to be dry and over cooked. There were some slight disconnects between what was ordered and what arrived from the kitchen, but were quickly taken care of by the staff.
Our brief wait in the bar-lounge area before being seated was quite enjoyable. Our bartender Robert was tip-top.
While we were one of the first tables to be sat as the restaurant opened that night, we ordered quickly and selected one of the specials our server had mentioned. He then came back 20 minutes later, AFTER the main floor of the restaurant had filled up and we had been waiting a good while, to tell us they were sold out of the special and we had to order something else?! I don’t believe that. Sounds like our order wasn’t put in when it should have been. Also, we received our appetizers long before our cocktails, and when we did finally get drinks - our Old-Fashioned had no bourbon in it. Plenty of people complain about cocktails not having enough liquor - we are in the bar business, we would know. This particular cocktail, however - the liquor was simply forgotten about.
The service and mix-ups and incorrectly made cocktails were slightly off-set by the food, however. Food was simply spectacular! The suggestion of the Death by Potato (or something similarly named, I cannot remember) was just to die for. Great steak, (once we got it), great pasta, great desert.
View is great, but would have a hard time coming back here as a local, as I don’t mind paying for a great meal - but the service and bar program are part of that experience as well for me.
Everyone was right about the octopus, it was great. The caprese salad was good. Spaghetti carbonara was no as good as mine, the noodles were strange in texture and the overall taste was bland. The The Bolognese overall was good needed salt, The view was amazing and service is spot on. We had the cannoli for dessert it was fresh and tasted like it should.
One of the most flavorful filets I've had in a long time. Bread basket was just average and the cannoli wasn't the best, but I'd go back for the meal. The steak right in the center was raw and most restaurants would offer either a discount or throw in a dessert for the mistake and the server suggested putting the tiny strip of steak back on the grill. Very odd. Great views! Would go back.
My husband and I are staying at the Palms so we decided to have dinner there. Our dinner salad was good but our entrees are not what we hoped . I had the ziti and noodles were undercooked and overall tasteless. He had the scampi and it was below what he expected . Very bland ! We were disappointed with the food but the service was spot on !
Great food. Disappointed that they were aware it was for my mothers birthday and we were seated in a suboptimal location. There were only 3 tables being used the entire time we were there but we were put in a corner. I asked why we didn't get a better view and was told I should have asked for it and they try not to use that room if it isn't busy. Pretty sure the view is one of the main reasons why people go. But judging on how slow it was perhaps it isn't as popular as it once was. I assumed that requesting reservations for a special occasion would get us a great table with a view. Not the case. Still a great meal and our waiter was wonderful. Just make sure to ask specifically for a good view if that's what you want.
Beautiful setting, maybe a little outdated. Reasonably priced... I ordered the filet medium and it came medium well. Was really looking forward to the gnocchi but it was cooked wrong as well. Drink pours were disappointing, order wine instead. Overall I enjoyed my dining experience.
service was terrible... they were very understaffed for a Saturday night. We were seated so far off to the side of the restaurant that it felt like we were in a private dining room. On top of that there were only 2 of us and they sat us at a table for 6. We had 3 different people try to take our order, a clear indication that there was no communication between the staff. The food was good but not worth the trip to the palms. Bolognese, gnocchi and filet were all very good.
I understand that most people were eating there prior to the Idena Menzel concert, however preparing for it in advance would have helped. We waited for over 1 hour without any of our food coming out. Finally got a manger involved. We had them fire all the food instead of in courses so we could eat. Food finally came out and we had to scarf it down to leave in time. Had a $25 off coupon and the waiter, Javier, only took off $15. Had to have him redo it.
We have lived in Las Vegas for over 50 years and it was the worst restaurant service we have ever had in any restaurant. We waited 0ver 20 minutes for water and a menu and the only way we got that was by asking the hostess. We never did know who our waiter was, and when our order was finally taken, we waited half an hour for our glasses of wine. These were brought by the bus girl whom we had asked about our order. A manager came by an apologized for the slow service. His reason was that they were busy. My husband replied it is a Saturday night on a holiday weekend you are supposed to be busy. We were not the only people complaining about the service. Obviously they have a problem scheduling their help. The restaurant was not full.
What a disappointing experience. I was there before a concert and allowed more than enough time with a 6pm reservation and the concert in the hotel at 8. I actually was seated by 5:45 and didn't receive bread or a first course for over an hour. We had to ask 8 times for bread and water and all service people looked frantic trying to serve the crowd. We were the first 3 people seated and rushed out with multiple wrong bills to make the concert. I still have 3 incorrect pending charges on my AMEX and the final one is still $3 off. I had made the reservation on Open Table weeks ahead to celebrate my Aunt's 80th birthday and then a coupon was sent to my email for $25 off, which we handed to them 3 times and still wasn't taken off until we did the final bill for the third time. The bread was wrong for an Italian restaurant. The food was good when finally presented, but not hot and not served pleasantly. I don't like giving negative reviews, especially in my own town, but this one is deserved.
The food is amazing, the ambiance is romantic, the service emmaculet, and the view of the Las Vegas valley is spectacular.
If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a comfortable and romantic location, where the food isn't too pricey, this is a winner!
