Nové Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Great night out at Nove. Food was excellent. Service was top notch from the manager seating us timely and with a smile to the bus staff working together with the servers to ensure everyone is enjoying their evening. Rob (I believe his name was) was terrific and super friendly. If you can, ask for him. Reasonably priced and huge portions. A hidden gem in Wilton. We will be back!
Had heard good things and it did not disappoint. We got three sides (greens and beans, rabe, brussell sprouts) and two plates of pasta. Greens and beans were the best i'd had in years and the pastas were cooked the best we'd had since our trip to Italy. Definitely get the housemade gnocchi -- light and fluffy and super tasty.
Loved it, will be back soon.
Went to Nove last week with a close friend. Seated cordially and with a smile right away by the manager Ashley. We were greeted by our server Rob. Polite and smiling he ran through the specials. Food was outstanding. I love veal and love francese so I asked if the chef would accommodate me and make me a veal francese. He did and it came out terrific. Love how flexible they are. Need something, just ask! Service was top notch. Atmosphere was friendly and vibrant. We will be back!
What establishment would allow fruit flies to take over ! Violations which should have easily corrected. Although I made several comments regarding the multitude of flies buzzing around ..the waitres simply stated that it was "do to their close proximity to the race track". Definitely would not return !! A few yards away is the Wishing Well ..a fantastic establishment ..no flies there ! I will contact the local health authorities about NOVE. As an NY Gov employe . NO NOVE !!
With the Saratoga racing season coming to a close next week, we thought it was time to look at a restaurant slightly off the center-city, Broadway area. We traveled only three miles north into Wilton and found Nove, a feel-good, Italian comfort food home.
Cocktails, including a malted-milk sized White Russian ($9.00), are generously poured and very reasonably priced (Grey Goose on Rocks $9.00). Our opening course (salads) were large and flavorful (Caesar, Misto).
Main courses are generous based on everything we saw coming from the kitchen. Our mains included Shrimp Parmigiana (breaded, tails attached) and Veal Parmigiana (surely 10"x5", a plate's worth) which provided plenty to share between two. The pasta (spaghetti) would be better replaced with a firmer pasta (penne) to stand up to the flavorful sauce.
The real news worthy story here was the final price - three cocktails, two salads, two mains, coffee and tea - total including tax was $101.00. This is easily 50% below the main Saratoga Broadway charge during the high season and in turn, you get an attentive wait staff and excellent food. Nove represent a solid option to the standard Saratoga dining scene.
Enjoyed the restautant very much. Off the path near Saratoga. Food and service were great. It was crowded but we were seated quickly and our server was prompt. It was very loud but the crowd thinned, the noise level dropped making it easier to have a conversation. Will go back when we are in the area again.
We waited an hour for our salads. The entrees came five minutes after. The serving staff was genetic trying to keep up with a full house. Food was uneven - a few items excellent, but the sole was undercooked with no sauce and one spear of asparagus on the side. Won't return.
We have been coming here during Travers Week for 10 years.
This has really changed.
Made reservations in MARCH 2017 for August.
Staff is no longer friendly, or happy.
There where 11 tables open the whole time we where there. Hostess was not pleasant, put us at the worst table right at the kitchen, and steps, waiter station. We asked if we could please seat somewhere else. She told us we could wait at the bar till they could set a table up. Mind you all but two tables where ready. We waited for about 15 minutes. Bartender never came over to ask if we wanted anything.
We finally sat down to a table in the middle of the room. There was a corner table, hostess would not let us sit there. Told us she "was told" to hold that table.
It stayed empty for the hour and a half we where there, as did 11 other tables.
Food is poor quality, waiter never asked us if we wanted a dessert menu. We ask about there famous house made cheese cake. He told us that at 9:15 at night, during Travers week, the cheescakes where not ready to serve yet. They had not set up.
I asked for the Manager, who never came out.
Very, very up tight staff.
We will not be going back ever.
Even the Valet parking is gone.
Bottom line, unhappy, unpleasant staff. Hostess could care less about the customer, or the job. Rolls her eyes, terrible!
End of an Era..
Better restrautants in Saratoga who will be happy to have your business.
Went to Nove for dinner the other night with a friend of mine. The place was very busy but Cassidy the hostess was able to immediately seat us (with a smile, might I add). Service was top notch from beginning to end. Dining room was electric. You could feel the energy. I had the shrimp parm and my buddy had the shrimp scampi. The chef went out of his way to make a side order of farfalle pappalina for us. We appreciated it. It was awesome. Both managers stopped by the table during our meal to check in and see how everything was going. I always like that extra little touch
Will definitely be back.
Menu had many great Italian options- nice variety of pasta, pizza, classic Italian dishes and seafood; was very easy to find a meal that pleased each member of our party. Staff were pleasant. Excellent quality food for very reasonable prices. Great drinks from the bar- very generously sized servings. Delicious dessert!! Will definitely return!
We went there with another couple visiting us in Saratoga and while the food was very good, the noise level was ridiculously high. We couldn't hear each other and had to speak very loud! It was very crowded and while we had a reservation, our table was in the middle of the dining room. Maybe we would go back for an earlier dinner when it wouldn't be so noisy.
We sat at the bar which is typical for us. Had the veal chop special and chicken marino (?) food was outstanding. The bartenders were really friendly and hustling. Our salad and brussel sprouts never arrived so I think our order kind of fell through the cracks. (it ended up fine as the portions were very large!) Bartender felt really bad, gave us a complimentary dessert. We will definitely go back as the food and people watching are spectacular!
Waited 15 minutes to get the table cleared so we could be seated. No one else was waiting at the time.
We were never told there were specials until I heard the waiter at the next table say what they were. We had already ordered so too late to change order.
Atmosphere is nice but way too noisy . Food was average.
