Nové Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
First time visiting the Nove'. Outstanding service across the board. 4 different dishes served and each was a hit as were the beautifully salads. The bread was warm and wonderful. my only gripe would be that the wine prices were a bit high- $12 for 1/4 of a bottle that costs $12 in its entirety.
First time to Nove and heard great things about it. Made a reservation for a Friday night and was seated no problem. Our waitress was very nice but also very new and what seemed inexperienced but there is always room for growth. It may be worth noting that while you may not like certain ingredients in a dish you should still give an open minded suggestion. I would not have felt comfortable ordering any bottle of wine from her. Menu selections are decent and cover typical Italian style dishes. it is interesting though to get linguine with clams and the clams are not in the shell?
Unfortunately the restaurant may have had an off night and our order was "lost" in the kitchen; our dinners took close to an hour to be served after ordering. Tables next to ours were sat after us, ordered after us, fed and left before we were served dinner. The manager recognized the issue and offered apologies along with dessert and drinks being covered and a gift card. Much appreciated and it did seem something was not running smooth that night and based on how busy it is and many repeat customers that night it is a good place to go.
The wine list is vast and well put together including great wine vernaculars and I look to coming back to order from the list!
I've only been here a few times but plan on coming more. Their food is very good, excellent menu, excellent service. I've had their pizza which I like but my husband thinks is just ok, both of us love their veal parm. I had chicken parm which was very good and friends were very happy with their entrees last time we were there. Didn't see the bill but entrees reasonably priced and many excellent options for Italian cuisine. They also deliver which friends of ours take advantage of all the time and not just pizza/hot subs but many entrees as well. Great restaurant to have near by.
Nove Was quite loud, with seating that was very close to other patrons. I ordered the Veal Parmesan, which was....basic. The veal was the type that you’d get at your local hometown diner, with no real spice or flavor. The red sauce was acidic and not flavorful at all. Not worth the $19 price for the dish. My girlfriend ordered the papardelle fungi, which is basically an Alfredo type dish with mushrooms. It was served with almost no sauce, to the point that the noodles were dry and flavorless in the middle and the top of the dish. In addition, the mushrooms were slimy, which is indicative of being canned. This dish was $17.95....with no meat - it was vegetarian. This place is like a really expensive Mom and pop place with below average food. Would not recommend. You could probably find better recipes online.
Our family had Christmas Eve dinner at Nové. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for a family outing before the holiday. We did find the food was “OK”. I ordered a special , seared scallops over a crab risotto. The prices were not shown on the ‘specials’ menu, but I gave it a shot. The scallops were way over salted and the risotto was not impressive. The rice was undercooked and the flavor of the crab was bland, especially due to the saltiness of the scallops. I was most bothered that the plate was charged at $36.99 and didn’t even come with a small salad. Had I been aware I would have gone with another more tried and try entree like chicken or veal parm. The kids ordered a pizza to share which was very well made and they were very happy. We will return, but this experience will stick in our minds during future visits. I do have to emphasize that it was a busy pre holiday evening and the wait staff were amazing.
First visit based on reviews and location. Water attentive but distracted - appetizer was not ordered on time and, so, arrived with our meal. Both veal and chicken were tough and not terribly attractively plated. Pasta was good as was the tomato sauce. Tirmisu was the highlight of the meal. We would not rush to repeat the experience.
Love it! The food is very good, just like home. The ambiance is nice, not noisy but has a New York City feel. The staff is excellent, everyone treats you like they know you and they come around to say hi and make sure you are well served. They don't bother you, however, they just make sure you're good. The bar is so comfortable we often like to eat right there. There is a neighborhood feel to it. The pizza is great and many times we order to go and the food is always hot and fresh and nothing gets missed. I love this place, it is our favorite in town. I hate never posted food pics from here but I will next time. Yummy!
Great night out at Nove. Food was excellent. Service was top notch from the manager seating us timely and with a smile to the bus staff working together with the servers to ensure everyone is enjoying their evening. Rob (I believe his name was) was terrific and super friendly. If you can, ask for him. Reasonably priced and huge portions. A hidden gem in Wilton. We will be back!
Had heard good things and it did not disappoint. We got three sides (greens and beans, rabe, brussell sprouts) and two plates of pasta. Greens and beans were the best i'd had in years and the pastas were cooked the best we'd had since our trip to Italy. Definitely get the housemade gnocchi -- light and fluffy and super tasty.
Loved it, will be back soon.
Went to Nove last week with a close friend. Seated cordially and with a smile right away by the manager Ashley. We were greeted by our server Rob. Polite and smiling he ran through the specials. Food was outstanding. I love veal and love francese so I asked if the chef would accommodate me and make me a veal francese. He did and it came out terrific. Love how flexible they are. Need something, just ask! Service was top notch. Atmosphere was friendly and vibrant. We will be back!
What establishment would allow fruit flies to take over ! Violations which should have easily corrected. Although I made several comments regarding the multitude of flies buzzing around ..the waitres simply stated that it was "do to their close proximity to the race track". Definitely would not return !! A few yards away is the Wishing Well ..a fantastic establishment ..no flies there ! I will contact the local health authorities about NOVE. As an NY Gov employe . NO NOVE !!
With the Saratoga racing season coming to a close next week, we thought it was time to look at a restaurant slightly off the center-city, Broadway area. We traveled only three miles north into Wilton and found Nove, a feel-good, Italian comfort food home.
Cocktails, including a malted-milk sized White Russian ($9.00), are generously poured and very reasonably priced (Grey Goose on Rocks $9.00). Our opening course (salads) were large and flavorful (Caesar, Misto).
Main courses are generous based on everything we saw coming from the kitchen. Our mains included Shrimp Parmigiana (breaded, tails attached) and Veal Parmigiana (surely 10"x5", a plate's worth) which provided plenty to share between two. The pasta (spaghetti) would be better replaced with a firmer pasta (penne) to stand up to the flavorful sauce.
The real news worthy story here was the final price - three cocktails, two salads, two mains, coffee and tea - total including tax was $101.00. This is easily 50% below the main Saratoga Broadway charge during the high season and in turn, you get an attentive wait staff and excellent food. Nove represent a solid option to the standard Saratoga dining scene.
Enjoyed the restautant very much. Off the path near Saratoga. Food and service were great. It was crowded but we were seated quickly and our server was prompt. It was very loud but the crowd thinned, the noise level dropped making it easier to have a conversation. Will go back when we are in the area again.
