I was unable to attend my reservation because when we showed up the restaurant was closed for renovation! Why was I allowed to book a reservation? Then I could not book another as it told me I was already dining! Very frustrated!

CLOSED. NOTTI BIANCHE IS CLOSED. Why did Open Table let us make a reservation there? They've been closed for several months for renovation, and I was surprised to see that it was possible again to make reservations, so I did, and when we arrived for dinner, IT WAS STILL CLOSED.

This restaurant has closed, either temporarily or permanently. We arrived for our OpenTable reservation, and the place was empty and the interior had been gutted. We walked elsewhere for dinner. OpenTable should obviously remove this restaurant as an option, at least until it reopens.

This is more of a review of open table. Even though I made a reservation through open table the restaurant is closed, either permanently or for renovation. I should have been made aware pf this and should not have found out when I tried the door.

THIS PLACE IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS!!!! YET....Open table let me make a reservation. So, I ended up with nowhere to eat before the opera on Saturday night. Shame on open table, they should be aware of this

Am writing this review to tell others that this restaurant is temporary closed for renovation. We unknowingly made reservation through Open Table, which did not indicate the closure. The restaurant and associated hotel is undergoing extensive work, so it could be closed for a while.

This location was closed when we arrived. Not sure why it's still taking reservations.

What a weird experience. We went here before going to the Kennedy Center for a show the other week. I imagine it's why a lot of people come here as this was in walking distance. Our waiter was just strange and should only be working in the industry as a bartender as he had far too much sass and grit for a waiter. He would get in our faces and ask what we wanted. Now, I like eye contact and even I was getting weirded out. My date just decided to avoid all eye contact in general. He also kept asking my date his orders before me. I'm the woman, you're supposed to ask women what they would like to order first (hospitality 101). Our drinks were also oddly timed (or forgotten) as my wine came out about 10 minutes before my dates bourbon.

When we got the entree I was very disappointed. I got the salmon and it was such a tiny serving, plus the menu said it was in a dijon cream sauce, which it definitely wasn't. I never clean my plate, but I sure did then. My date had a chicken dish, he said it was good, but dry and needed sauce. We then shared a dessert as I was obviously still hungry.

At one point someone dropped a glass at another table and our waiter whose POSi screen and sidework station were right next to us started mumbling "well they broke that themselves, I didn't do it...". Super professional.

When we left we had to fetch our own coats from the closet, which is fine, but not what you expect you'll have to do. Just strange.

Very typical yet bland Italian food. Drinks not good at all. Waiter told us they are closing in the next few days for long term renovations. Overall I’d say you can have a better experience at a chain like Olive Garden.

Took an hour for our food to arrive and we were on our way tot the Kennedy center. We had to skip dessert and run just to make the show in time.

I wasn't impressed overall, service and food were fair. Wine list was very scarce, but the white wine (only one choice by the bottle) was very nice. The decor is "Cozy" but it's a bit like being in your parents unfinished basement. However, huge plus was quick dinner before a show at the Kennedy Center. Valet parked our car at the restaurant and walked over to the show.

Great Italian food. Very nice mussels and wine. Close to the Kennedy Center so very convenient. Restaurant will close soon for remodeling, we were told.

Restaurant is within 10 minute walk to Kennedy Ctr, so, if you're looking for a reasonably priced pre-theater meal with food that is acceptable, but hardly gourmet, it is a good choice. Valet parking is available at the University Inn, within which the restaurant is located, and the price is $20, which is less than the KC's entry price of $23. Also, although you have to walk back after the performance, getting away from the KC and its still-congested garage, is much quicker. All in all, an okay choice for a pre-theater meal. Service is fine.

This is an easy place to frequent. It's not starchy or casual. Food is great, service is great and all for great value in Foggy Bottom. It was a pleasant surprise and a jewel of a find for me. An easy option for business meets or an intimate dinner date.

Great food and service

We decided to depart from the norm before attending a play at the Kennedy Center.
The dining space/Design was basic and bland. The house Chardonnay was delicious.
Considering I would have eaten anything on the menu I asked our server Joseph for a recommendation. He suggested the bolognese. It was simple with homemade pasta and was quite good.
My husband had the sword fish which he found to be dry although the melange of vegetables served with it were quite good.

Waiter was outstanding! Menu small and in need of a bit more variety. Expensive for what we got but food was good. Location is in a renovated basement. Did the most with what they have...overhead and exposed pipes and ducts.

Food was excellent. Sanely quiet restaurant. Everyone appears to provide service in an unobtrusive way. No insisting on introducing oneself on part of waiter, no endless requests for validation on our enjoyment of the meal. Just a quiet, good time with great food. We will enjoy this restaurant again. Particularly since it is a short walk to the Kennedy Center.

It is an excellent location near Kennedy Center. The food was ok, not particularly good and the service was disappointing.

The kitchen seems to have improved since I ate here two years ago.

This is my pre-Kennedy Center go-to restaurant. Very consistent over the years for dinner. The grilled salmon was cooked PERFECTLY, and it was sitting on top of the most delicious risotto. The bread is good and served with a dish of olive oil with oregano (nice touch!). Two pet peeves - considering the price, the entree was pretty puny, and the glass of red wine I ordered was served too warm. (It might be heresy, but a little bit of ice cured that.)

Really nice place. Great service, very friendly and attentive. Always very good food. Very cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great food and very attentive staff. Best for two-three people; large groups difficult to accommodate.

Nice homemade pasta. Food was good. Service friendly, but could have been a bit more attentive. We had to ask for service several times and even the couple across from us noticed our wine glasses were empty and offered to pass our bottle which was close to the wall next to them. We were two ladies having dinner...unfortunately the table that seems to be ignored. But all in all, it was a nice evening.

Service was excellent and timed perfectly for the start of the opera performance at the Kennedy Center where we headed straight from the restaurant.

Food the main problem, dry gnocchi fried with virtually no sauce, over cooked and scorched salmon. No information on dishes not available until you order the dish. Seven guests and sic mains very bad. We were on our way to the Kennedy Centre thus not time for lengthy return and redo. In general a bad experience. Manager gave his card and to ask for him on our return, thus not willing to solve the problem. Will never go back.

Always a winner for a quiet evening out, particularly pre or post Kennedy Center event. Small and friendly with good service and good Italian dishes. Portion sizes always fit for humans rather than lions. Have been eating here for years and never disappointed.

The wait staff and ambience were very pleasant, however the food was not great. I ordered the Swordfish, which came out burnt. The gnocchi I ordered as a replacement was just ok. My mother's Salmon was undercooked and had some indeterminable ingredients in the sauce (pineapple?, beets?).

Milon was an excellent and attentive waiter. Pasta dishes were delicious and staff was warm and welcoming.

Food and service at Notti Bianche are consistently wonderful. It's our fourth visit, and each has been simply lovely and very reasonably priced.

This place is "fine". Service was fine, the atmosphere was fine, the food was fine. I just prefer "GOOD" or "GREAT" to spend $120.00 for 2 people.

I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed by our dinner there. We went before a show at the Kennedy Center and chose it in terms of location. My appetizer of the tomato burrata was ok, but the tomato was not very good and the balsamic glaze was almost nonexistent, I had to ask for more and then they brought me straight balsamic vinegar instead. My gnocchi with butternut squash purée was so dense and there was little to no purée. When I asked for more they brought me about 1 TBS worth. The gnocchi was so thick and flavorless that I couldn't finish my meal. The salmon was cooked well and as requested but the sauce was underwhelming.

We had dinner before going to see a show at the Kennedy Center. This was a wonderful gem to find within walking distance of the Kennedy center. The food was fabulous and everything was presented beautifully. The ingredients tasted fresh and were truly delicious. I would return there again. I enjoyed the experienced and have since recommended to my friends.
