    We had a wonderful evening. We enjoyed Emily’s chocolate hazelnut martini at the bar before dinner and then had a wonderful meal! The wine and food was simply amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

    Pasta wasn’t cooked on either of our dishes. They charged the full price (of a shellfish dish) for a conversion to a vegetarian dish which is ridiculous and they clearly don’t cater to vegetarians well. I wasn’t served shellfish and didn’t consume it, so I really shouldn’t have to pay the premium for it. We had such high hopes for a decent Italian restaurant in the area. This isn’t it for us.

    They do not have a hostess working. The hostess stand is not in view of the bar or dining room, so you have to go look for somebody to seat you. Once seated, it took over 10 minutes until somebody came to talk to us. 10 minutes more to get water. When our meal arrived, we ordered a second round of drinks. They never delivered the drinks. Fortunately, the second round of drinks was not on the bill that we had to ask a busboy to get for us because our waitress never came back. Overall a bad experience. We will not be coming back.

    Our last two visits have not been great. Very VERY slow service. Friendly, but slow. We were there at 5:30 and they were already “out of” the special squash appetizer! All the squash had gone bad, we were told. Wow. Also no longer ordering the antipasti appetizer. The quality has really gone downhill, even in presentation. Disappointing.

    High points: Amazing wine list and attentive service! Crisp linen table cloths, candles, sparkling clean dining room and friendly staff. We had giant Caesar salads, gnocchi, eggplant rollatini and chicken marsala. Everything was perfect and authentic. What a treat!

    We were celebrating a birthday and an engagement. The staff seemed very excited for us as well. The building is beautiful! The food and service very good and would highly recommend for a date night/special occasion. They also had live music playing that was beautiful as we were eating dinner. We did not have time to do the wine cellar tour but will plan for it next time we go.

    Slow service. Sat in bar area. 5 minutes before someone came over after being seated. Gave away one of the entrees to the wrong table. But other entree under warming lights.

    We picked this restaurant by chance on our first night in Grand Rapids. From the moment we walked in, our experience was outstanding. The staff, atmosphere, food, WINE list!!!, and owner were exceptional. The wine cellar is stunning. Our only regret is that we don’t live close enough to enjoy their wine dinners regularly.

    Quiet (without evening bar music activity). Had a wonderful experience being able to have long overdue conversation with my son. In the past, my spouse & I dined during later hours & found, at times, the music a bit distracting. Everything else was great.

    Noto’s is a wonderful restaurant experience. The staff is always cheerful, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is lovingly prepared and delicious. The Saturday night jazz band was an added treat. We have been dining at Noto’s for years, lunch was a great treat.

    Love Noto’s ambience and used to love their food. Don’t know what has happened but it was the worst food we have ever had. No flavor to the food, we had pasta . The veal was tough, over cooked and tasteless too. The waiter hardly checked back and the restaurant was not busy at all. No offer of cheese or pepper to to go on our pasta- all fine restaurants we go to offer this. The bread with oil was dry and we had to prepare our own oil combination- have never had to do this either. So disappointed.

    Notos could have been a bit better prepared for my quite basic requests - such as service old world by course style with a separate pasta course. would have appreciated one classic pure pasta to select from for pasta course such as torteliniin afredo sauce.

    The food was excellent but our server only checked on us once and was very slow to transition between courses and took almost 30 minutes to get our bill at the end of dining.

    The food was absolutely delicious, and arrived piping hot. The service was really good, just slightly disjointed on the night I was there as to who was actually our server. It did not impact speed or quality of service overall.

    The Gibson Onion Soup was FABULOUS - a must try. Our entres were the best Italian food we have had in years. It was our anniversary and they served us a lemonchelo cake with blueberry compote that was to die for. The server's wine recommendations were outstanding. We will be going back......soon!!!!

    The stuffed baked pasta dish, which was recommended by our server, was over baked and dry. When you stuff the pasta with a dry mix of meat and over bake it, it takes any moisture out of the pasta itself. I should have sent it back. The singer in the lounge, Mark I believe, was excellent.

    The service was great the food was great. We were annoyed by the screaming child/children in the bar celebrating a 3yr old birthday. Then they started running around the dining room screaming. Not the time or place with guest in the dining room. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

    My fiancée, daughter, and I went to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The staff at Noto’s was attentive, courteous, and professional. Our appetizers, meals, and surprise birthday treat were beautifully presented and delicious. After our meal, we went to the lounge and enjoyed the music by the John Shea trio. It was a wonderful experience and will be returning.
