Notos could have been a bit better prepared for my quite basic requests - such as service old world by course style with a separate pasta course. would have appreciated one classic pure pasta to select from for pasta course such as torteliniin afredo sauce.

The food was absolutely delicious, and arrived piping hot. The service was really good, just slightly disjointed on the night I was there as to who was actually our server. It did not impact speed or quality of service overall.

The Gibson Onion Soup was FABULOUS - a must try. Our entres were the best Italian food we have had in years. It was our anniversary and they served us a lemonchelo cake with blueberry compote that was to die for. The server's wine recommendations were outstanding. We will be going back......soon!!!!

The stuffed baked pasta dish, which was recommended by our server, was over baked and dry. When you stuff the pasta with a dry mix of meat and over bake it, it takes any moisture out of the pasta itself. I should have sent it back. The singer in the lounge, Mark I believe, was excellent.

The service was great the food was great. We were annoyed by the screaming child/children in the bar celebrating a 3yr old birthday. Then they started running around the dining room screaming. Not the time or place with guest in the dining room. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

My fiancée, daughter, and I went to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The staff at Noto’s was attentive, courteous, and professional. Our appetizers, meals, and surprise birthday treat were beautifully presented and delicious. After our meal, we went to the lounge and enjoyed the music by the John Shea trio. It was a wonderful experience and will be returning.

We always enjoy dinning with the Noto family. From their years out on Lake Michigan Dr to the flagship restaurant and banquet facility in Cascade and now Grand Haven, they know how to run a restaurant. The Cascade location is a wonderful place with a great bar area with live entertainment on most nights adjacent to the dining room so you can hear the always good music. Authentic Italian pizza, and pasta along with seafood, veal, beef and chicken. There’s something for everyone. Delicious homemade desserts too. Many old world family recipes handed down through the generations. If you haven’t visited or dined in their lower wine cellar that is something you should definitely experience too. You won’t be disappointed having dinner at Noto’s.

Calamari was overcooked and rubbery which was extremely disappointing as that is one appetizer that I never make at home. Our meatballs were cold. The waitress was nice but was not informed on their bar selection. The only reason this review is getting 3 stars is because the restaurant is beautiful as usual and the Cannelloni was amazing. Our pre dinner experience was disappointing. The entree was the only plus side.

I’m not even sure I have the time to explain how many things went wrong. Dirty fork, dirty plate, waited 15 minutes for our waiter, was never given a drink menu, never offered desert even after they said their was complimentary dessert because we were celebrating a birthday, no pen with the check- the list goes on.

I know everyone is understaffed, but can’t a restaurant take less reservations then? Dinner was so so. Everything was slow. Asked for the sommelier several times and he never came, server disappeared for very long periods of time, etc etc. My husband wanted to order dessert, but said he was worried it was going to take an hour. Fortunately we liked the people we were with and it still was a decent night - definitely not a stellar dining experience though.

This is advertised as an upscale dining in Grand Rapids. The food was good, but definitely not worth the prices they are charging. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, which was served on a platter with metal serving tongs. My entree was the Cannelloni Della Casa, which was listed as "rolled stuffed pasta . ground veal . Noto’s famous Italian sausage baby spinach . bolognese sauce, parmesan & mozzarella cheese" and there was no noticeable veal and there was very little sausage in the dish. My guest has the eggplant rollatini and had very little eggplant. The dress code was listed to be business casual and we were completely over-dressed when everyone is wearing jeans, sneakers, hoodies and baseball caps. The best part was the dessert, the limoncello ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu were great. It seems like a few things could make this a fine dining experience but fell short of our expectations.
