Our favorite go-to place. Everyone we bring there loves it. Our family has multiple allergies and we can always have delicious, safe meals. We love the ever-changing seasonal & local sourced menus.
Overall experience was positive. Food was served promptly and staff was incredibly polite. My shrimp scampi was fair ( pasta was overdone and shrimp greasy) but my husband loved the bbq meatloaf and my daughter the "backyard" burger.
We were able to make a reservation for 8 for Mother’s Day on Open Table and our experience was wonderful! We had drinks, food and dessert. We never felt rushed and everything was delicious!
Music was way too loud in the restaurant. Otherwise it was awesome as usual.
We always enjoy NYAJ...appreciate that the great menu always offers changes, but that awesome bread is always there!
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent place!
Enjoyed a family birthday celebration and things could not have been better. Food was delicious and Marlo was the perfect server. it was great to see managers Keyara and Kelly who were working very hard to keep the flow going. It was also great to know that this location is supporting the Boston Gay Men's Chorus for the entire month of May. Just mention the BGMC to your server and 15% of your total check will be donated to the Chorus.
We will all be back soon.
Food is very good for a chain restaurant. We were there early mid-week so it was very quiet. Spotlessly clean. Recall looking out the windows and wondering whether there was glass in them. (There was).
Overpriced, server was uninformed about rotating draft choices, floor in the area of our table had not been swept in a while
Great food and great service.
It was crowded with quite a few waiting for a table. Gave our names and because of reservation, we were seated immediately! Great service - food was terrific!
LOVE that they now carry the Impossible Burger for vegans or others who cannot eat meat but the bread option for the burger is limited to one (the focaccia which doesn't make a great burger bun.) If you're going to carry amazing vegan burgers please think the entire meal through and offer at least two different vegan bun options (including a gluten-free AND vegan bread would be super amazing!) Thanks!
We love it here! Would highly recommend for anyone interested in a nice meal that’s not crazy expensive😊
Consistently well prepared menu items. My go-to favs are BBQ meatloaf and Mustard Crusted Chicken.
Offerings were varied and interesting. My vegan husband was able to find a few things that he could try. I ordered the haddock with brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries. Haddock and fries were fine but brussel sprouts were under cooked and had an odd flavor. I sent them back and got brocolli instead . Foccacia bread also served with meal. It was fresh but very salty.
We meet family from different parts of the state. Last year around Easter we met and this year again. There were 7 of us. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the New Bedford rosemary scallops with couscous. I very much enjoyed every bite. My husband and daughter enjoyed the steak tips.
For dessert all of us gobbled up a big slice of carrot cake. It was moist and satisfying. We will be going to NYAJoe's in Westboro again.
Had a great meal and experience!
Nice location with plenty of parking. Seems recently renovated. Waiter was pleasant. Food was just ok... they are due to switch shortly to a spring menu and so that may be better.
Used to be good. What happened? Service is mediocre, food is bad. Good bye
I love Not Your Average Joe's!!! Our waiter was fantastic, the food fresh and delicious, and the beer phenomenal! Thank you!
Turkey sandwich was at least 50% fat. They agreed and replaced it but the 2nd try was only slightly better. We're all done with this restaurant which used to be quite good.
Excellent as always. Tried the coconut shrimp it was delicious. I would definitely order it again. Right now it is a special menu item, hopefully they add it to their regular menu. Our waitress, Marlo is very pleasant and has our drinks ready and waiting when we arrive. It is nice to get such great service. I would definitely recommend Not Your Average Joe's. Already looking forward to our next meal.
Joe's is our favorite restaurant in Westborough. I like their seasonal specials.
Hard to get away from the meat loaf. Bring your hunger, it satisfies. Monday nite shrimp pizza was a winner for my wife. Their "club" gives a $15 credit on your birthday. Can't beat it!
Took my 2 kids out for my birthday. The food and service were very good as usual. The hostess was attentive and friendly. My burger was cooked an nice medium rare.
Lastly, I mentioned my other daughter was sick and they threw in a cup of soup to go!
I always like going to NYAJ and some visits are better than others but overall, the food is good, fresh and a little creative. They are very sensitive to Gluten Free. Service tends to vary. Some of the waitstaff is better than others.
If that this restaurant strives to please but on a Saturday afternoon restaurant seems to draw many young children who seem to have an activity in the area as as an opportunity to spens some down time with their parents this lead so a high noise level.
Joe's can always be counted on for consistency and good service (and good bread!) I tend to order entree salads and have noticed they're getting a little chintzy with the greens. I mean, how much are greens? My companion ordered a greek salad - seemed odd that it included jalepeno peppers which she hadn't expected. Good server, a bit overbearing at times and a bit too quick to take away the plates. Overall, Joes is a good value with good food at a reasonable price.
Not Your Average Joe’s is not average, it’s below average. Took my wife and our two very well behaved children there for her birthday. The menu is sub par for the prices; mediocre at best. The kids menu chicken was flavorless and kids pasta was drowning in a pool of butter. The host had people waiting at our table before I even signed the check and was in the way bussing the table before we could get our children ready to leave. We were at the table for less than one hour. Beer selection is also terrible.
Love Joe's always a reliable choice - love that you use OpenTable - makes booking so convenient.
Our favorite dishes, Skewered scallops and Salmon, still very good but I think the price went up a bit.
Was sat at 7:15 PM for 6:45 PM reservations and made the mistake of arriving 10 minutes early
We have been going to NYAG's for lunch only. Dinner was excellent and we will go again.
We order tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was full of grease with each bite. The soup had grease floating on the top. My son ordered a margarita pizza that a see through coating of sauce. Which amounted to eating baked bread. The prices way to high for the quality of food we received.
As with previous visits, NYAJ's in Westborough is always a pleasure to dine at, from the food, to the atmosphere to the excellent service.
Always a great dinner, healthy except for that delicious bread and oil
Our group of four dined during Valentine's Day weekend, when there was a special Valentine's menu in effect. One of us had the lobster bisque, and it was outstanding. The coconut crusted shrimp was delicious - among the best we have ever had. Two of us ordered the special seafood risotto, and it was excellent. Another of us had the pork chop special, which consisted of a HUGE pork chop which could not be finished; it was very tasty. The fourth of us is a vegetarian and ordered the spaghetti squash Bolognese, which he found very flavorful. We finished with sharing the chocolate chip cookie special dessert, big enough for all of us to have just the right amount and as delicious as a cookie treat can be. We always love the house ciabatta bread and dipping oil, and this time was no exception: it was warm and wonderful. Our vegetarian diner (who lives in the dining mecca of Portland, Maine and had never been to a NYA Joe's) was impressed with the bread. We all left the restaurant happy and satisfied.
We have been coming to Not Your Average Joe’s since it opened. The customer service we receive is excellent but I don’t think the food is as good as in the past. Very disappointed they took the enchiladas off the menu. Love, love, loved them. My granddaughter got the grilled chicken. It was very dry and my husband got a salad. It was pretty pathetic for the price...we’ve had better at Wendy’s. I had the squash spaghetti and it was excellent.
