We come here quite often. My daughters favorite place. Good as always!
Good food; very good service. It didn’t take long to get our meals. Appetizers were on point.
Enjoyed the shrimp. My client enjoyed the Buck-a-Chuck oysters. Not everybody wants a full complete meal for dinner. This was just perfect.
For an appetizer we ordered the tempura vegetables and shrimp. It was very good. We would definitely get this again. My daughter enjoyed her Greek salad it was full of chicken and very good. I got the grilled chicken with roasted brussel sprouts and carrots. The vegetables were very tasty but the chicken was extremely dry. I wouldn’t get the chicken again. My husband orders the pepperoni pizza and for a place with a brick oven this pizza was not close to what was expected. It was bland. Free drink refills were satisfied when needed and even before. The waitress was excellent. Very kind, friendly and attentive. We would definitely come in again and try something different.
Always enjoy going to Joe's. Being someone with Celiac disease, the options are far greater (and tastier) than most other restaurants.
NYAJ is consistently excellent. Freshest food. Fantastic service.
Wonderful atmosphere and menu choices. The greek salads with chicken were filling. The meatloaf really tasty and the large pepperoni with well done thin crust just as I had hoped.
Our friends loved it too and will be back again!
The food was very good and wine list excellent. I went with a relative that has food allergies and they were very accommodating. Customer service was excellent. Can't wait to go again.
Food was great. All scratch made. Burgers were cooked to our liking and delicious. Balsamic dressing was great too. We'll be back.
Another v good pre-theatre dinner. Despite crowd, fast pleasant service, excellent dinner experience. Did not like waiting 15-20 mins for our reserved table when walkons were being seated in 20-30 mins. Main issue was lack of communication from front desk staff. We would have been ok if we were given some status info- not silent ambivalence
Great service!!!! A+++ The Mimosa with sorbet is so delicious! We were catered to like we were the Kennedy's. The host was amazing in sitting us in a great spot. Love this place!
Disappointed with the brunch. My husband and I had to send back our food. I guess they're not used to making eggs Benedict and French toast.
Made a 6:00 reservation and wasn't seated until 6:20. Food didn't come until 7pm. Absolutely no room anywhere to wait before being seated.
Service was great. Food was excellent
I ordered scallops which is described on the menu, as having rosemary and coucous with corn, neither of which were on my plate. I questioned the waitress and she said they were out of rosemary.. when this happens I do think the customer should be informed and asked if something else is preferred instead.
I had the simply grilled salmon and it was very good. Not heavy sauces, just a nice grilled fish. Rice and brussel sprouts made it a nice healthy meal.
Didn't get bread all night. I ordered a salad and didn't even get pita bread with it like it said on the menu. Every other table got bread except for us. I will not be going back.
We didn’t have to wait for a seat and the food was delicious!
Food was good. Showed up early for reservation but did not seat us until after scheduled time which was disappointing but service and food were very good.
Loud, poor service, scallops were not as advertised- will never go back
Our waitress was excellent. It was very busy and the noise level was a little extreme. We had a reservation and we were 10 minutes early and there was no where to sit and wait besides going back outside. Next time we won’t show up until the time of our reservation.
Always consistent with food and service.
Our dining experience started with the convenience of being able to make a reservation using Open Table. We received friendly, efficient service, and had well prepared, great tasting food.
The waitress must have been new but other than that everything was great!
We enjoyed our meals and our server, Jessica. The lemon peppercorn chicken fettuccini dish was nicely flavored and the chicken was grilled "well done", as I requested. My husband ordered the barbecued meatloaf and the portion was thick, generous, and delicious. The carrots & mashed potatoes were nice side dishes and had extra flavor, not bland. Our fried apple cinnamon dessert was the perfect ending. We are happy with our meal, service, and choice of seating and we'll certainly go there again!
Food and service was outstanding.
Waitress kept disappearing. hard to get water refilled, order additional items and get extra plates/utensils when needed. Food was average, pasta was horrible. Would not repeat this meal.
Not Your Average Joe's is a great go-to place when you want a dependable, casual meal. We often go here for an extra birthday meal (they have a nice bday reward), when family is in town, or for their happy hour specials. I especially love the focaccia/dipping sauce and the bottomless flavored lemonade. We have always had excellent service when we visit and this time was no exception!
Service was absolutely awful. Dirty dishes form appetizers piled up on our table & were not cleared until we paid our check. Drinks remained empty long after asking for refills. NO check backs on food. Manager walked by and ignored our Jenga-Like pile of dirty dishes on our table as well. Really awful service, food was just OK.
NYAJ is my favorite "go to" when looking for great food, fast service and a great atmosphere. It's a great place for families as well. The menu changes seasonally, but there are always a few favorites that stay, like the Meatloaf!
We made a dinner reservation which allowed 90 minutes for eating and gave us time to get to a movie. They seated us late and so we had to rush to finish on time.
We had no idea the restaurant would be so busy. Will not dine there again on a weekend or if we have somewhere else to be following dinner.
Not Your Average Joe's consistently puts out delicious food. We had the Providence Restaurant Week fixed price dinner and the portions were a tad smaller, but the food was delicious. I had the Spaghetti Squash Bolognese and my nephew had the Salmon. It took a very long time for our desserts to arrive and they were pre-ordered. Also, the waitress, who was delightful, did not ask my nephew if he was finished with his soup but took it right out from under him, he had two delicious spoonfuls left to go! Oh well - otherwise, a really energetic place and the manager is always concerned and visits.
Very good, great service
Great time and awesome menu for restaurant week!
Food was good, service was great. My only issue is that when I make a reservation, I don't expect to have to wait an additional 20-25 minutes past the reservation time.
casual dining, a little crowded but wait not long with reservations
Reservation was for 6 PM. Were not seated until 630. Another five minutes for waitress to come over. Waited again for our drinks. Over all too crowded. Bad experience
I made reservations for 6:15 on a Friday night. We got there and the place was packed with lots of people waiting. We were seated around 6:25. Bread with dipping oil -- fantastic. All food: seafood fettucine, meatloaf, caesar salad and crab cake appetizer -- excellent. My only complaint -- and not the first time I've made it -- is the music. Loud, unnecessary, and it harms the ambiance. Love the food and can't wait to come back.
Overall reasonable, but they have slipped
One of our party sent salmon back twice, once for being over cooked and then for being raw in the center
The remaining meals were very good.
Always love the food. Reliably yummy, good service, nice cocktails and wine
