Loved our waitress!!!
Family outing after shopping
It was busy, appetizer came out after meal was delivered. Salad came out at same time as meal. Huge bummer but mngr comped the app for mistake. Food was mediocre, tasted great but was not hot. Waitress was very nice.
We went there during the blackout. They sat us pretty clean se to our reservation for 6 even though they were banged out. Waitress was excellent. Food was well prepared and varied menu appealed to all. Round tables were good for conversation.
They did not honor the reservation, and didn't seat us timely. We will not be back. We ended up getting a seat at the bar after half hour and almost missed the movie because they didn't honor the reservation.
Everything was great
This is our favorite place to go. Chill at the bar, split an app and a pizza.
Joe's is always great - very dependable - we've likely been to a Joe's well over a hundred times in the last twenty years
All food is made from scratch. Menu changes on a regular basis.
Waitstaff is very professional
Brought out of town guests on Saturday night. Everyone loved the pizza
The service was excellent! The manager went out her way to accommodate my party of seven, and the food was great!
It was my wife’s birthday that we shared with friends. Our waiter was training a new waitress and they were very good handling our requests. The shrimp and scallop fettuccine with lobster sauce was excellent as was the haddock and steak tips with wedge salad. The complimentary carrot cake was very good.
I really like Not Your Average Joe's but I was not impressed when I went to the Randolph location. We were seated in a booth for 7 people which not ideal. Thankfully, we were accommodated and got moved to a better table. It was nice that the waiter gave us two appetizers on the house, but they took a long time to come out. We also had to tell our waiter to take it off the bill because it was put on there. The food did not taste that great because I think the restaurant was rushing food to each table, which was unusual. I will continue to go to this restaurant, but I will probably go to the location in Westwood instead.
I’d like to rate five stars but “outstanding” is a strong word. Overall was very good, though. I was disappointed they didn’t have what I had had previously. The pork shank was no longer on the menu. That was a favorite of mine. I chose the meatloaf hoping it would be a dish they could be most creative with and it was delicious., but still meatloaf. My husband had broiled scallops that were delicious. Service was on point, though we were never asked how our meal was. Bring the pork shank back!
We had a party of 11 with reservations at 8:30PM. We were seated when we arrived at 8:15PM without any problem. The food was very good and the service was outstanding particularly since we were a large party. Would definitely recommend Not Your Average Joes to anyone who wants a good value meal accompanied by excellent service.
We went there for Valentines dinner . We may presentations and we’re seated within about five minutes after arriving . The waiter did not know too much information about what was on the Valentine’s Day menu . Salmon was dry and spinach under cooked . Fillet medallions were excellent. Alcoholic beverages were great . First time at this particular location was little disappointed .
We always have a wonderful meal. It’s our favorite place to go....
Have been longtime customers of NYAJs and have always enjoyed the experience.
The food was good, it came out quick and the server was great but its too cramp that you will hear other tables' conversation which you don't want to hear. I hate knowing people's issues in life. As I said above, if you like a quick bite then go to this restaurant.
My husband had the pecan crusted salmon, it was very good. His roasted Brussels sprouts were very under cooked, he didn’t eat them because they were raw. The mash was good.
I had the New Bedford sea scallops. They were good, I have had better there, I always order the same thing.
The salad was on the Valentine’s Day menu. Beets, poached pears and goat cheese, greens. It was very good.
I enjoyed my meal very much. I have an allergy to accommodate and they were fantastic about it.
We enjoyed a birthday celebration with our friends. The waiter was very good and the special menu offered for Valentine's Day was excellent.
Seated promptly. Excellent service. Good spot to celebrate a bday.
We frequent Joe’s for a lot of family meals. We know we can count on good food a fair prices. Lots of locations and consistently good.
GREAT SERVICE WITH VERY ATTENTIVE WAITRESS, Alexandria.
Great food as always tried the jumbalaya
NYAJs is our favorite nicer-but-reasonable place to go. Love, love the bread and dipping sauce that comes first...best anywhere!
Have had good experiences in the padt but when we were there on Tuesday it was anything but. The service eas incredibly slow though the restaurant eas not busy. I ordered the mashed potatoes and steak tips. The tips had no taste and the potatoes were clearly under a heat lamp way to long. We were a party of 7 and no one loved their dinner.
Our server was so nice! Very professional and had great menu and wine knowledge!
Salmon was good. Bread basket delicious.
Waitress very friendly. Atmosphere casual.
Always good and attentive staff and management
They have changed their menu for the better. They don't preseason the food anymore with a heavy hand on spices.
They always said to tell them if you have allergies, but in past have not been accommodating.
Slowest service ever, especially since the restaurant was not busy.
Great service and food. The temperature in the restaurant was so hot, it made the dinner uncomfortable and I had to leave sooner than I wanted.
This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants to dine at. The management here is great and there is never a problem with the food. The new French Onion Soup was great./
One of us had the chicken parmesan gluten free, it tasted like rubber wasn't very pleasant.
our lunch ( salmon over sweet potato) was
the most delicious lunch I've had in a long time.
Not sure why I keep coming back to this place. This time I had a gift card from given to me because of a previously bad experience at the Westwood location and thought I would give it a try. This chain is hit or miss and I guess I have only had one good meal here at the Needham location. The other times have been average to poor. The food is just not that good here. Even the bread served with the oil was hard. Philly cheese steak egg roll appetizer was disgusting and the salmon I ordered tasted burnt and on top of a sloppy pile of sweet potatoes and nasty brussel sprouts was gross. Service was sub par and even the wait person admitted she was getting things wrong. Plus this location sits in a beat up shopping center strip mall a mile from the Showcase theater and looked odd. I guess I will use better judgement next time and just find a different place to eat and not waste my time with this chain anymore.
Great lunch for 7 people. Loved the menu, and we all enjoyed our meals. Excellent service
After waiting for 15 minutes for someone to take care of I asked on of the servers if we had a server and she ended up taking good care of us.
