grilled atlantic salmon with seasonal veg and rice pilaf
an assortment of teas
Great service, friendly attentive waitress. All staff wore facial masks which is important.
Definitely will be back
Very enjoyable. We were seated promptly and had a terrific server (Melissa). The food was great. Of course, we have eaten at NYAJ in the past so we knew what to expect. However, being from Boston we had not eaten at the Hyannis one before. Entire staff was friendly with just the right amount of attention.
Service excellent. Food was very average. Lighting was very, very bright, like eating in McDonalds. We asked igniting could be dimmed and were told not possible.
The southwest salad is the best!!!
Food arrived very quickly and was good. Wait staff very friendly. My only objection, too bright, dim the lights a tad please.
Food is always delicious and service is always great. One of our favorite restaurants!
Salmon with pineapple fried rice was AMAZING and service was even better!
While the food was delicious, I’m concerned for their evacuation policies during a tornado warning. All customers’ phones buzzed with the National weather service tornado warning in Hyannis. There was no announcement from management about what to do or if there was a plan. I will follow up with the chain to understand protocol. While no tornado touched down, I wonder if we were in Oklahoma, management would have announced an evacuation?
Hadn’t been to Joe’s in a while. I remember the menu being a bit more varied than the one I saw tonight. Found my meal to be a bit pedestrian. I ordered the almond crusted baked salmon expecting almonds, sliced and toasted or even ground and toasted. Instead I got almond dust which didn’t have much flavor. The salmon was extremely thin, Not like one would normally expect. The almond rice was OK, and the chard broccoli was blah. I remember Joe’s being a lot more inventive and a lot more flavorful.
Service was shaky but otherwise fine
Great food and really great service from the host to our server. :) The only thing is I liked the old vibe, it was a warmer atmosphere where this one is very contemporary. That will not keep me from coming back. Love the food and menu options.
It’s a nice spot to get together for a casual event. We didn’t get an engaging server, but others helped pick up the slack to ensure proper service. Plenty of food and drink options - high-end and others. I’ll definitely go back again.
Good food at a fair price. In a mall so parking is not a problem. Next to Fairfield Inn, walking distance.
We always receive amazing service and delicious food. The menu variety has something for everyone. I especially love the veggie blends!
Good spot to stop if you are hungry! Our waiter forgot to add a few items we ordered and that was frustrating. The food nonetheless was tasty and the bread that was served soon after we arrived was tasty!
Nice space and good value for meal portions! Very good cocktails!
They served *amazing* GF rolls to go along with dinner. It was wonderful to be able to have bread to dip into the olive oil/Parmesan. Dedicated GF menu was great. GF kids menu was wonderful as well. We sat outside so it was a bit loud as it’s next to the parking lot. Friendly staff and great menu.
Our waitress was amazing. Food was fast and delicious.
Restaurant is in a mall. Sitting outside was very noisy with drive-by traffic, scooter, people playing loud radio.
Very clean and modern facility. The food was good and our waitress was excellent.
We used to frequent and enjoy this restaurant before the remodel. Now it’s as if you’re eating in a warehouse. Garish lighting and mid century decor is kind of cookie cutter at this point. Has no sense of intimacy. Menu has changed and not for the better. Pretty pedestrian offerings. Step up from fast food but not really a good restaurant experience.
Great food. Please open a place in westchester ny
Large variety of foods. Good gluten free options.
The food was good, came out hot and tasty. Our waitress was brand new and didn’t know the menu, but she was nice and tried. That’s the nature of help on the Cape. We got exactly what we ordered even though she did not write it down.
Only two vegetarian main dishes that are tasty. No appetizer or salads without paying for meat you don't want.
As die-hard fans of NYAJ’s over the past 20 years, we arrived in Hyannis looking forward to a relaxing, delicious meal at a favorite spot. Intrigued by the renovation — making the place smaller and far more open — we noted the shorter menu to match, an apparent trend in this (almost) post-pandemic world.
The wait staff was excellent. The crowd was sparse; we had headed there after finding no parking at our first choice and were surprised that NYAJ tables were so plentiful. We had the haddock, and the salmon. The former was overdone, and the latter pretty good, although presentation for both dishes struck us as abysmal. The app we shared — bang bang shrimp — tasted pretty good, too.
That said, the meal was far more expensive than in the past ($77, without tip, with one app and no alcohol). The meal overall was not bad but far less carefully and beautifully presented. Examples: the iconic bread and oil that we’d always enjoyed at NYAJ was smaller, cold and not very appetizing; the salmon and broccoli rabe arrived looking anemic, and the napkins are now paper.
With the exception of the price, NYAJ’s has become the epitome of YAJ’s. Sorry to see it go, especially since it seems to be a corporate decision to downgrade.
The service and food were good as usual.
Nice night out for dinner!
Menu could use a few new items - but always something to choose from - nice variety.
We have long loved Joes and have been to quite a few over the years, so we were excited to go back post pandemic. But we were very disappointed. Our favorite dishes were not nearly as delicious and the prices were much higher. Only the service was good.
The service and food were great as always.
Our waitress informed us there were only two waitresses staffed at the time we were there (6pm). Service was slow but we can’t blame her.
Food was good. Service was poor. We didn't have place settings for quite awhile, even after getting bread and spread. We were asked if we wanted more bread. We said yes. Then we didn't get any. Waitress seemed distracted or disinterested. One of the plates of food came back tepid so must have been sitting awhile waiting for the other one to be done.
The waitress was very friendly and the service was great.
All our food came to us at the right temperature.
My experience was very pleasant , I brought a very good friend with me too. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. The service was great.
Our food came to our table at a reasonable time and the food was hot.
good food and drinks but hey its a chain, better than most!
As this is a relatively newly remodeled restaurant, suffering like most from Covid, it's hard to really say how the experience is compared to the previous version. The food is, as always, slightly different and good. It is hard to guess, but the new atmosphere is colder in feel and I suspect will be quite loud when restaurants begin to fill up again.
I have dined at many Not your average Joe’s and this was by far my most disappointing meal. And the other in my party felt the exact same
