Joe's is always a good time with good food and drinks. Parking lot is always packed in Dartmouth though. Leave early to wait for a parking spot.
Best local restaurant for any occasion. The atmosphere is wonderful as well as the service.
This our go-to restaurant but it needs a better waiting area. There is no convenient place to stand while waiting for a table.
Also, I believe that the bread was originally served warm. I understand that is tricky so that it doesn’t dry out but possibly something could be changed in the recipe. It is also quite tough...did the flour change?
Love Joe’s and come here often. We like the creativity of the menu and enjoy the always great service! our server was Cynthia (by request) who is always so pleasant and helpful. My daughter had the Chicken Parmesan - it was well prepared and the portion was huge - more than enough for a second meal. I had the mushroom bolognese - again delicious and enough for a second meal. Oh, and did I mention the bread?
Highly recommend for a fun, interesting meal!
Food was awesome. The foccacia bread and dipping sauce was fantastic.

Been eating here for years. Good food and drinks selection. Waitress seemed preoccupied and distracted-- forgot to bring a few items and had to be reminded. Otherwise everything else was fine.
Everything at NYAJ-Dartmouth on Easter Sunday was perfect! After making a reservation through Open-Table, I had to add one more to the reservation. When I called NYAJ, the manager offered to make special provisions to change our seating to accommodate 8 instead of 7.
Our dining experience was above our expectations too as was our waiter. Eating out on holidays can be a daunting task, but NYAJ made our Easter a special one to remember. Thank you!

Service was slow even though it wasn't very busy, we never got our waters. Food was OK, not great.
Apparently, this was the first time this restaurant was trying out a Sunday brunch (don't know why they would choose Easter Sunday to roll this out). Right from the get go our server let us know that there were only 2 servers on, and that there were quite a few parties coming in all at once. Basically, we were being warned that the service was likely not going to be very good, and it wasn't. We waited a very long time for our drinks, though the meals came out in a reasonable amount of time. Sadly, the food was a little cold. This is definitely not the typical level of service at this restaurant, and I was honestly surprised that they left themselves so unprepared for the amount of reservations they had. It won't stop me from going back because the service is usually excellent, but I will wait awhile before going back for Sunday brunch, until they can work out the kinks for brunch service.

We’re seated a few minutes before our reservation time. They seemed to be well organized when it came to seating, staff had excellent communication skills. This is my go to spot for a last minute meal or catching up with friends.
Tenderloin tips were ordered medium rare and had to be sent back twice for more cooking time. When they finally reached the table they were over cooked.
Reserved for two - three showed up - waitress was great - no problem with ordering late - food arrived simultaneously - I come here about once a week - good healthy and delicious food - we had the meatloaf, supercrunch salad and spaghetti squash bolognese.
We eat at Joe's because we like the atmosphere, service and food. DartmoUth is our favorite Joe's.
Excellent food. Service was pleasant a bit slow but this was due to it being so busy on a Saturday night. One of my favorite restaurants.
The only issue was that we requested a booth but received a table instead. The tables are very close to each other and you can hear everybody’s conversations. Plus the waitress has a hard time maneuvering around the tables.

We do find the Dartmouth "original" location to be noisier than the newer locations.

The service was great and the personable nature of the staff was friendly and relaxed. The food options were diverse and the food was prepared and delivered in a timely manner, plating and flavor of food items reflected an awareness of the art of making fine cuisine. The atmosphere while dining was one of relaxation and friendliness.

Happy to get a corned beef special on St. Patrick's Day! The food was very good, but the service was not as good as usual. Had the wrong item brought out, which they did correct.

I dine here infrequently but it is the only restaurant in the area on Opentable so when I need a reservation I tend to end up here. This place is very popular with the local crowd, but I find it completely overrated. The food is average to below average. The atmosphere is loud and crowded. The service is hit or miss. Prices seem high for what you get.
The food and service was great as always. My only concern was the “to go” box that my seafood fettuccine was put in was paper based and the sauce stuck to the bottom and was extremely difficult to get out. They might try a different type of box in the future.
We went for the double cheeseburger special. The e-mail had a picture of the double cheeseburger. The actual hamburger patties on the bun were significantly smaller than the bun and much different than the picture on the e-mail. Disappointing.
We're regulars for some time now and have never been disappointed! The mustard crusted chicken is a terrific old standby and the enchiladas are likewise fantastic! Not to be missed!

My boyfriend and I have been to this location previously and often pick coming to Not Your Average Joe's over other restaurants when we go out. We made a reservation for our visit using Open Table, when arrived the hostess explained there was no reservation on their system, he asked to look at my confirmation email from Open Table to be sure I had chosen the right location, which I had. They explained they would let the manager know and take care of us right away. Also they explained they would take care of the reservation in the Open Table system so I would still receive my rewards points and it would not count as a no show. However, I received an email from Open Table the following day about my no show reservation and the penalty that would be applied to my account. After sitting everyone else already waiting, we were then seated about 15 minutes later, which was slightly frustrating. However, then once we were seated our waitress did not take our order for another 15 minutes and therefore we received our food almost an hour after we had been seated. We also ordered a margarita pitcher and had to pour the glasses ourselves.While we waited on our food we had asked her for more bread, she didn't come back, we asked the waitress who served us our food and she took the basket and dip bowl and our original waitress came back after we had almost already finished our food with just the bread and no dip. A big reason why we love to come to NYAJ is that we love the bread and dip, so that was really upsetting. I have never had a problem like this here before, and it was also not as busy as it typically is when I have come previously. Both my boyfriend and I was not happy with the service of this visit at all and was not planning on having such a long stay during a week day. It left us feeling that we may want to give it a while before we are ready to revisit again.

My husband and I went for dinner not any special occasion and we had a great time as we usually do when we go to Joe's! The food was great and the service was great as well!! We have been going to Joe's on Dartmouth for many years and it is a go to place if we don't want to go to far away and have a great time!!

Everything was good but are burgera that we asked for medium where totally burnt
Valentine’s Day
Lighting system had some issues going on. All booth lights kept on flickering. Pretty annoying as the table behind me was complaining of same thing.
Also food seemed to be just okay. I’m a usual there and I haven’t out on Valentine’s Day for dinner in a while and now I remember why
