We go to Joe’s every couple of months and are never disappointed. Good food and atmosphere. We LOVE their focaccia and dipping oil! Always fun!
Comfortable atmosphere , great food selections and service excellent
Excellent service, good food, a limited beer selection but a good variety of choices. Booth was pretty cramped but overall a nice dining experience.
The food is always good . Very consistent. The restaurant manager is always pleasant & welcoming . We frequently dine there
Have eaten here MANY times. What brought us there on 3/17 was my birthday and I saw on your website you have corned beef. Yet when we arrived I was told you did not have the item on your menu. When making the reservation there was a page in the background advertising corned beef meal and Irish beers.
P.S. The bread which is usually great had no taste at all. Not sure if we will return again.
Such a good reliable yummy place to meet friends!! Keep it up NYAJs!
We always enjoyed NYAJ in the past, and my favorite dish was the scallops. Well it didn't taste
anything like it used to. The meatloaf was also disappointing. The chocolate torte cake was very dry and tasteless.
We never were ask if we wanted water, but before our drinks came we were given bread and oil.
When we arrived the person at the desk didn't have us listed for a reservation, but he said he would give us a table anyway.
I made a specific request for a table that could be reached easily in my electric wheelchair. I even called to be sure the request made it to them from OpenTable. The request was not honored. I had difficulty getting to my table.
The meal was good. However, everyone goes to this restaurant for the great bread. They ran out of bread. I'm not sure how you run out something that is a significant part of your reputation. I have not had these problems at other locations.
I had my first date with my soon-to-be husband in Watertown at NYAJ. Have since eaten at a half dozen locations with fond memories of that first night, and invariably love the food, service and ambiance at your restaurants!
Arrived on time with reservation. We were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. Waited quite a few minutes for server... Two other tables seated after us were taken care of before we were. Once waitress arrived, everything was fine. Loved the food (haddock with spinach and cole slaw). I'm still thinking about it! Excellent food and quality for the price. Only negative is no where to stand while waiting to be seated... And music could be toned down a bit.
Reservation was for 6:15, got seated at 7:00. Very frustrating. After we finally were seated the service and food was excellent. The manager comped our appetizers as well as our deserts. Would still recommend this restuarant.
Yummy food and great service! Manager even checked on us to make sure we were happy. Would definitely recommend but be sure to make reservation. Dinner time, especially Saturdays, are VERY busy.
Great service and wonderful food
Not Your Average Joe's is a dependable choice for casual dining. The food is always good and the menu choices are varied.
Was sat in an open area of the restaurant but the noise level was moderate. The waitress was attentive and quick to address our drinks/app order and return for our entree order. This is important when you're dining with three boys under 13.
The food was served hot at temperature and the waitress was quick at addressing any concerns we have. Excellent family experience and we will definitely be back.
We like going to NYAJ ‘ S because they seem to keep there menu fresh & interesting .........enough so to be able to eat there frequently . In my opinion the bread is the best around too!
We were seated immediately and the server took our drink order. She was very attentive and professional. The food was very good, my wife and I enjoy going there from time to time.
We had their Smokin' Joe Double Cheeseburger + beer (plus french fries) special. One of the best hamburgers I have ever eaten! (And I've been around😜) Really a delicious burger. I'll be back for another. It is served for lunch or dinner each Tuesday.
Quiet spot, in a business district, which is great for a quiet Saturday evening date when all of the offices around are empty. We were seated and served promptly. The food is very good. Nothing extraordinary, but executed very well and at a very reasonable price.
I wasn’t sure if the scallops I ordered were thoroughly cooked. It was a little disappointing. I should have mentioned something to the waitress. Not Your Average Joe’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I have Celiac Disease and need to eat a gluten free diet.
This was my first time at this restaurant, my wife had been here prior.
Convenient for us since we live in Burlington. Friendly welcome, you can tell that they are aiming to please.
Jessica, (Our waitress) was very nice & had good recommendations. I (Anthony) tend to be so fussy to the point of being Neurotic.
On occasions I tend to drink a Margarita and it has to be perfect, nothing in between; well, this was the first time that I had ever tried a Pomegranate Margarita, it was stupendous. If you can please me, then you can please anyone.
Food was quick & cooked to our liking. Overall, this is a winner for a local dinner here and there.
Great customer service in taking and honoring reservations. Nice food choices: Loved the Salmon & sweet potatoes! Their bread with cheesy oil can’t be beat!
Great food, reasonable prices, and awesome service! Highly recommend!
Valentine’s dinner. The only complaint that I have is that for a table of two, you felt like a table of 4. It was difficult to have conversations because there was little space between us and the table next to us. The restaurant is great and this would be an easy fix for them. Will give it another chance
Always like eating at "joes". Good food and great service
Good service, good food and a pleased client. I'll be back.
We love the buck a shuck oysters and half price apps at the bar. Justin and Tracy make everyone feel welcome. Shucker did a fine job with the oysters. The tuna wontons are wonderful!
I have gone twice now and both times we have had good service and the food is good. I feel like the amount of food you get for the price is great. I also love the gluten free options that they have and the fact that I can get gluten free bread before my meal.
I ordered the fish with sweet potato fries and green beans. It was terrific. Nice large piece of fish and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the sirloin tips. He loved them. Kind of wish you would go back to some of your original dishes when you first opened. They were truly amazing and we all miss them
Food is reliably good. Had a problem with one of five entrees, waitress immediately said she would bring another and offered soup or something else to eat while waiting. 2nd time was done right and we were not charged for the entree.
Back part of the dining room could be nicer. Like the front better but only works for parties of four or less.
Noise level usually comfortable but we were very close to a large, quite noisy group.
Will keep going there - great 90% of the time.
Delicious oysters. Glad to see crabcakes back on the menu.
The vegetables seemed barely cooked and tasteless and the chicken did not come with the sauce.
I have joined at NYAJ at many different locations with friends and family, and the restaurant food and service have never disappointed me. I had the chicken enchiladas which are delicious (although not calorie friendly) and a blackberry pomegranate margarita which was a great cocktail. There are many calorie friendly and indulgent options on the menu. The only thing I noticed was that it seems the bread recipe has changed.
I had reservations for 7PM, but wasn't seated till 20 minutes later. I can see the restaurant was very busy and the hostess stated only that they were running behind. She was apologetic, but didn't feel sincere. I wasn't too happy about having to wait when I had a reservation and was on time for it. The only saving grace was the food was very good. I ate the soup of the day, sweet potato and linguica and seated halibut. Both were very tasty. Our server was polite and attentive. I haven't been here in over 9 months and wanted to try it again. I still recommend this restaurant because the food was delicious. I hope the hostess or greeter figures out a system to actually honor reservation times.
As usual we had a great experience !! Service was excellent! Food was perfect. We paid with gift cards that we purchased earlier and two went through fine, but the third one wouldn't go through. Bruce, the manager said, without hesitation, that the remaining $35.00 would be comped from our bill for any inconvenience. He also gave us the number for customer service to rectify the problem with the gift card. That kind of customer service is truly rare these days and was much appreciated!!!! NYAJ Burlington is our favorite restaurant for those reasons. Great food, great service and outstanding management and staff!!
Excellent service, manager even walked around checking on everything, speaking with diners.
NYAJ is generally the go to place for couples, families, friends. Casual dining with some flair. Most entrées from $15 to $25. Popular for drinks too. In the past they focused on very high quality food and artistic presentation but now it's more run of the mill gastropub style food.
There was a wait. Servers were efficient friendly and smiling. Food was good.
We had outstanding service. Every detail and need was anticipated.
Food was just meh - average - comes out cold and just not worth the $. This is my second time in 1 month there and would not go back for food.
However the atmosphere, noise level, and service was great.
