Good value, appetizer very good, Pizza came cool . All in all very dependable restaurant
Solid food, it can't handle the 6PM to 8PM crush on a Saturday
Good ,dependable ,solid dining destination oooooooooooo
Wonderful. As always!
Service was prompt. Waitress was friendly, attentive, and quick.
I dined with four friends - a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon before seeing a show. We were all pleased with our meals. My mild complaints would be that there didn't seem to be enough servers and bus "boys"; several table sat in a state of disarray for 10 or 15 minutes before they were bussed and tidied. Not very appealing. Service was moderately slow and it took some time to get our meals, but we weren't in a particular rush, so it wasn't as big a deal as it could have been.
Forget it was St Patrick’s Day. They could not keep to our reservations. I was stressed that we would miss our evening performance but they accommodated us nicely and we got there on time.
Always eat here when attending events at the Regent Theater. Convenient, accommodating and good food.
Reservation was for 6:15 and we were seating within 5 minutes. The servers were wonderful. Very friendly and always visible even though the place was very crowded. No one seemed unhappy about waiting and free bread was available while you waited. The food was excellent. Served hot.
Great, reasonably priced and so close to home , great menu with so many options, great salads, also so many well described drinks and lots of craft beers and so many on tap
Not your average Joe's was great for people with any type of dietary needs. We had gluten-free, vegetarian, and food allergies (severe!). The wait staff and the kitchen was very conscious about all of this and did not make us feel bad for having requirements. Anything they were not absolutely sure of, they checked with the kitchen. Made for a great night out and cannot wait to go back!
Wasn’t seated until 20 minutes after reservation time. Nice waiter but pace of serving was off. Salads before drinks, main course came out when only halfway through salad, etc.
The salmon dinner was good but my wife’s steak tips were over cooked and chewy
We had quick and efficient service. The food was great! We were able to get out in time for a show a few blocks away at the Regent Theater. There was easy parking a block away off Mass Ave in Arlington. We would definitely come back here again.
The food was hot and as tasty as ever. The bread was light and delicious. I am glad you change your menu seasonally. It is always fun to try something now
Joe's has been a fixture in Arlington Center for several years and it continues to offer tasty American fare at very reasonable prices. There was a slight mix-up on my order but it really didn't cause any problem. The server and the manager both came to my table and apologized. They also made an adjustment on my bill which they really didn't have to do. They fully deserve the five-star rating I gave them. I'll definitely go back again, and soon.
Local restaurant in town.
Convenient to bus line and stores.
Thank you NYAJ's for my annual birthday coupon. I went on the spur of the moment to the Arlington MA spot with a friend and we were not disappointed. I had a margarita and the chicken enchiladas, which were delish and generously portioned. My pal had the raw tuna appetizer which she loved, and a white pizza with spinach which was yummy. The waitperson was a delight and let us take our time -- was happy to keep coming back until we were ready to order. We split a key lime pie dessert and it was tasty and HUGE. Will be back!
Very good, except the waiter he did not come to our table very often
Prompt seating. Waitress was cordial and kept our water glasses full. Food was very good and timely as it was NY Eve and we had a show to get to. So overall everything was just fine.
For value and food I would usually put 4 stars. However two dishes were served cold this time. They were quickly reheated and money knocked off the bill but this really shouldn't happen.
Loved the pesto/pecan salmon. The Brussels sprouts were fabulous...so happy to have that choice available with several other vegetable sides. They were incredibly busy, so host helped to clear tables to shorten the wait for those in line. He and waitress were very friendly and professional.
Once again, we had excellent service and the food was amazing. Love the seasonal specials! We will definitely be back again real soon.
Great to see managers Lauren and Sam as always
We enjoy the broad range of menu options. Great casual dining with friendly, attentive service.
Great for kids
Noisy, busy food was very tasty but meat was cool when it arrived st the table. Not enough time to reorder. Disappointed.
Went for lunch to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday and the staff could not have been more welcoming! Our waitress Zoe was especially wonderful and everyone there had left messages and signed a card for my granddaughter, who was thrilled. Several of them brought out her complimentary dessert and sang to her. Good food as well. All in all, a memorable experience. Now we all want to come back here for our birthdays!
Nice waitress nice experience
On a previous visit a week before, two of us shared two appetizers, chic.pot stickers & crab cakes. Both were disappointing and unappetizing. We would not order them again or recommend them. Other than that the food is generally very dependable with a good selection
We go new often. Convenient and reliable.Menu gets updated frequently and this visit the special was great. From hostesss to busin, including bar staff and our wonderful waitrwss, the service was great.
NYAJ Arlington again disappoints. We sat at a high-top in the bar area, but the clueless bartender ignored us. After 25 mins I got her attention and she acted confused as to why no one was waiting on us. We ordered several "Happy Hour" half-priced appetizers and a beer. After another 20 minutes or so, we finally got apps, but were never offered the focaccia NYAJs if known for. The apps were good, but the tuna wontons were not as good as ones I've had at other NYAJ's - both smaller and not enough wasabi sauce. Prices have gone up, so half-priced apps are a good deal, but not the amazing deal they used to be. We ordered the updated "Rosemary Skewered Sea Scallops" for dinner. At $25, its good that you now get 9 or 10 scallops. However, these were the SMALLEST SEA SCALLOPS I've every been served.(Scallops were much bigger at the NYAJ Waltham location!) They even skimped on the rosemary; providing two small spring ends instead of a full skewer as described. Again we were NOT OFFERED BREAD. This was a real lack of service from the bartender. Don't know if she's new or just inattentive. We tipped on the full price of everything but really should not have!! I continue to prefer the Not Your Average Joe's Waltham or even the Watertown location. We miss the NYAJ's Medford location!
The food and the service were great! The menu changes seasonally so there is always something new to try!
NYAJ is a comfortable, consistent place for a casual family dinner. We often see local friends there. The bread and dip at the table are amazing, better than competitors. Meals are always delicious, flavorful. At times it can be noisy because of the bar & TV, but most of the time that's not been a problem.
Good Food Good drinks reasonable prices good selection
We had to wait 20 minutes in a huge crowd outdoors even though we had a reservation. Server was extraordinarily rushed and, though not rude, brusque to the point of rudeness. Would not return on a weekend. Weekday experiences have been much better.
We always enjoy both eating in and take-out from NYAJ's. Dependable and lots of choice.
Family visiting and needed late night meal. Smooth reservations, timely seating, short reasonable wit for food, upbeat friendly staff, creative delicious food with special touches, wide variety of food and wine offerings. Something for EVERY taste and diet. Kudos to your restaurant.
Tried the new almond pesto salmon dish. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Great service.
This trip to Joe's was disappointing. I feel like other popular restaurants they start out great then over the years the quality starts to go downhill.
Food is just ok but it a good place for kids especially if you are lucky enough to have a booth by the window. Waitstaff are friendly.
