Food came out cold and should have been hot. Good taste but cold
Lobster roll was okay. French Fries were cold. Replacement took a while and they were not a fresh batch, just over cooked old ones.
Disappointed to say the least.
Wonderful ambience and food.Definitely recommended to visit
I had an email for $15 dollars off for my birthday so we thought what a great way to spend Saturday night. When we entered the restaurant there was a gentleman waiting and then us. I guess the rest of his party arrived and the hostess went to seat them outside. we just stood there. Mind you we were the ones with the reservation, but how would they know, she never talked to us when she returned.. My husband had to go up to the hostess to tell her we were there for a 7 pm reservation. We then were seated promptly, but we thought the hostess a bit rude. Our water came over to introduce himself and ask if we wanted drinks. I ordered an ice tea and extra lemons. the drinks came out and so did the lemons but there was no spoon or sweetener. We had to ask a bunch of times for the sweetener and spoon until they were brought over. If you are charging over $3 for an ice tea I should not have to wait so long for my beverage. Before we were served we kept getting food we did not order. First time the young lady tried to put it down at our table and my husband kept saying no. We would not want food from someone else neither should they. Our food came and it was fine. Chicken Parm and Jumbalaya. Nothing special, but not bad. The bread was good though. When it came time for the check the waiter brought the slip and set it down on the wet table. by that time we paid the bill and left. Needless to say we did not give an over abundant tip but we did tip on the full amount of the bill before the $15 was taken off.
I’ve never been more pleased with a random, quick choice my husband and I made on our recent travels! We were delighted with the diverse menu and the freshness of the food. The salmon hoisin salad was delicious ! My husband got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. OMG! As one helpful staff, Nasir described “ its like wrapping up in a cozy blanket of yumminess” and it was! My nephew and his Mom also had delicious dishes of shrimp scampi ( with added scallops) and a terrific jambalaya. I can’t wait to go back! Great staff too! All super friendly! Ps surprised to find out its a chain
After waiting nearly 40 minutes for our food, my entree was cold. My daughter ordered the chicken parm and it tasted like it was freezer burned.
Our waiter disappeared for 20 minutes after taking our order and we had to ask twice for bread.
Nice experience had food all over our chaos and plates but the waiter was nice enough to remove when we asked
The food was delicious. The kitchen was a little slow and the restaurant is a little noisy but we had a booth so it was fine. We had a lovely time. It was my birthday and we had lobster!
Great food and amazingly friendly staff!! Definitely will be back!
I’ve been here a few times and forget that I really am never happy when I leave. The service is always good but the food is never really that good. The menu never seems to change. And the cost is way to much for the quality.
Enjoyed our visit. Outdoor terrace was closed. Will return and will recommend to others.
A solid meal at a decent price. My only complaint was the restaurant being out of a pulled pork sandwich on a Saturday night, but otherwise, a good experience.
We made reservations online and were seated within a brief waiting period. Our server arrived after a short wait to take our appetizer order, but did not return to our table after delivering water any other point for over 30 minutes. During our wait we witnessed other tables get seated and receive table service from their server, as well as others waiting an extended period like us just to put in an order or receive service. While it was a Friday during the early evening and there was a decent crowd, neither the restaurant nor our section was at capacity so any claim to being overcrowded would be invalid. We hoped to put our dinner order in to our server during our extended wait, as we had two young children with us. It became too long of a delay to get any service for us to even consider ordering a meal, so when the appetizer finally arrived we asked for the check. Our children ate the appetizer while we settled the bill and even left a 20% gratuity, but only because we paid cash to avoid having to wait even longer for our credit card to come back again. This will likely be the one and only visit we will make to Below Average Joe's.
Sat outside on the upstairs patio which was very nice. Service was pleasant, but very slow. Cobb Salad was very good, but a very small portion for the price. Ahi tuna salad was generous and tasty. Overall a little disappointing, but will return.
We were late for our reservation, but seated immediately. I enjoyed the food and my boys as well. It was a nice environment for children as well. Our server Jennifer was amazing. She did a good job making us feel comfortable and she went above and beyond during our visit. I would definitely visit again.
Enjoyed a good dinner outside in pleasant weather. Our waiter was very attentive.
Friendly service. Food tasted excellent & nice presentation.
Food was good, better than expected for a chain. Gluten-free options were many, and since everything is made fresh, you can customize your choices. Lots of drink choices, both with and without alcohol.
The server, Nasir, was awesome. He was our tour guide and was available but not hovering.
I would go again!
This time I was a bit disappointed, I won’t lie. Because the place is nice and the menu, fairly good, I decided to invite my in-laws but the service was subpar - to the point I was horrified! We all were. After we seated, it took a little over 10 minutes for our waiter to ASK about our drinks. And that only happened because I had to ask my husband to talk to the hostess. Believe me, I had tried to get the waiter’s attention, but he told me, without giving me chance to speak, that he would be right back. Then we all observed how he was tending other tables, like... removing dishes, asking if things were all right, picking up food in the kitchen and being very chatty with other waiters. In the meantime, we did not have even water in our glasses and that was a hot evening. I will try to believe that that can only be lack of training.
our server, devon, was great..very attentive..not over bearing and accommodating..
Overall, our experience was good, but I do have a few suggestions. The server was very sweet, but he did drop one guests fries before serving us. We might have been compensated.
I had the waldorf salad, but thought it was overly chopped and a little small. One of our guests was in a bit of a hurry but her food was not brought very fast, especially given our statement to the server.
We had carrot cake for dessert and I liked the icing but though the cake was generally overly moist.
We appreciated the atmosphere, location, food quality, and overall service.
Amazing meal! Great drinks! The bread and dip is awesome! Our favorite place!
It was good.
Service, food, and atmosphere was pretty good. It's pretty noisy and an easy place to take children.
It was a wonderful evening out with my fiancé and our 20 month old daughter. The waitress was absolutely amazing with our daughter, playing with her, talking with her and even letting her draw in her ordering book. She was very attentive to not just our needs but our daughters needs. I only wish I remembered her name!! I will definitely be going there again.
Too Loud. Great location.
Love the patio! The impossible burger is amazing. We had an array of apps & entrees. This is a great go to that is consistent and super yummy.
Always enjoy coming here! Sat outside upstairs and its beautiful!
Melvin our server was very kind, although he forgot to check on our drinks for a long stretch in the middle of dinner.
We started out on the patio but that quickly became intolerable due to initially, construction noise. Then we smelled burning and eventually, great clouds of smoke billowed over us. We moved indoors.
Good location and good food; however we missed the half sandwich and soup combination.
The service was slow and our drinks weren’t refilled in a timely manner. The food was terrible. I ordered the teriyaki quinoa bowl. It was soaking in so much oil. So much so that I had to hold the food in my fork against the edge of the bowl to drain some of the oil off of it. Absolutely no taste. Just oil. We decided to eat here because of the outside deck. Great location. Terrible food. Mediocre service. Don’t waste your time or money.
We have been to Not Your Average Joe’s a few times and we are never disappointed. Always great service and food is always delicious.
Expensive for food that wasn’t great. Much better value somewhere else
It was pretty average. Ok for a bite to eat. But nothing special.
Excellent service and food, great ambience. Loved it ! Our server Taylor was excellent!
A side salad took over 30 minutes to come up. They were out of the ahi tuna and it took them 25 minutes to notify me of this.
Great service and meal choices! We got suggestions on drinks and food and it was spot on!
Food has declined. Bland with little flavor
Food is consistently good as is the service.
