Amazing food and service. A little too noisy for my liking, but food quality and flavor outweighed this annoyance!

This is our favorite place to go ham on the best wine and food Portland has to offer. The versatility and quality are worth the expense. We often do a pasta, insalada nostrana salad, sulami pizza, and a bottle of valpolichella or nero. Our dessert consists of the 20 minute cobbler (order it with the food to assure it has time to cook), the cheeses or the delicious cheesecake. It is hard to make a wrong choice. This is paired with dessert wine or in my case, often a pear brandy. Treat yo self!

Menu was excellent. Simple but complete. Excellent wine list. Their sommelier was delightful. Being from Italy he was able to provide details about the various wineries that made choosing our bottle of wine for dinner really fun. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. Did I mention the bread? They bake all their bread in house. Delizioso!

Our server was great! Very attentive and friendly and really just a sweet person, the food is always good and fresh. The hostess/person who greets you (1st impressions are really important) was not into it there, were 2 people at this station neither one was friendly. If it wasn’t for the girl who was our server, it could have left a bad taste for this place. Being nice ...does it take that much effort?

Music could be softer sounding, The music didn't go with the atmosphere.

My brother and I had a causal birthday lunch. Ordered the special meatball salad, the bay shrimp pasta, and beef ragu. At the end the wonderful GM sent housemade lime cello since we declined dessert. 11/10 food and service.

We enjoyed everything at this restaurant. The food was all wonderful! The atmosphere is lively sophisticated comfort. A great place for gathering with friends & family or just a fun date night.

The service level was top notch! Getting recommendations on wine, with taste testing was great. I felt that they took the time to make sure we were having a good experience. We found the perfect bottle to go with our scallops. Looking forward to coming back and trying more amazing dishes. Thank your for a great evening!

Came to celebrate a birthday and were seated for our reservation early. Food was excellent and the somm was helpful. Will be back again!

Our pasta wasn’t even that hot when served. I also ordered broccoli that I never got.... for the price I don’t think it’s worth it

We had a 7pm reservation and were seated at 7:34. What's the point of reservations? Food was good. They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which was very thoughtful but it does not change the fact that we were made to wait 34 minutes.

Overall, great food, service, and ambiance. Our only criticism was the romesco. It didn't taste of red peppers, olive oil, and almonds...it simply tasted of Tobasco. Big miss. Outside of that..all else was fantastic.

I think my expectations were too high going in. When I read about a restaurant that gets high marks, I expect a lot. The food was good but didn't amaze me. Everything seemed a little bland to me. The service was wonderful. Our waitperson didn't interrupt us overly, while make sure we had everything we needed. Nostrana has a nice vibe to it and is a very attractive eatery.

Great food for the kids and drinks for the parents! Yummy dessert too! The ragu and trout were winners.

Sat at the bar; tangerine/Prosecco spuma and Quintessential Negroni a great start. Soup and tuna/white bean salad for one, arancini and salumi pizza for another, glass of wine with each. Excellent food and service, as always.

Celebrated my birthday. Had the mushroom pizza as an appetizer for the table. Ordered two trout dinners which were delicious, I had the flat iron steak -delicious also ordered the salted caramel pudding but it had another name. Well it was the best pudding we ever had. Great fun evening.

i have enjoyed many meals at nostrana but realize now that those times were not busy. saturday night - with people waiting - the noise level was high, all tolerable - unfortunately the food quality suffers. one meal was overcooked, the others just ok. i was embarrassed having brought out of town foodies here.

Every smart town should have a Nostrana. Small focused menu, great food, great wine list, great cocktails. The best steak in Portland and top 10 pizzas.

We had a lovely lunch that our server made sure moved at a comfortable pace so we could all catch up. The food was lovely per usual, meatball Mondays are the best and our server made sure we all got exactly what we wanted and needed.

Food was amazing! Very friendly staff and great ambiance. Highly recommend the lentil soup, fondue and oxtail ravioli. They were all something special.

I’ve dined at Nostrana multiple times in the past. My past experience have been very good to exceptional. My most recent experience wasn’t great but that’s not typical. I was seated on time. My appetizer was served quickly. The bottle of wine was a great recommendation from their sommelier. My reason for the less than ideal rating is due to my filet minion was served cold. My wife bolognese was perfect. Outside of my cold entrée the experience was fair.

Really pricey but if you can afford to splurge once in a while, it’s a delight at the end of the night, near closing time.

My wife and I both felt it was the best dinner we had in Portland! We'd return to Portland just to have another meal! Highly recommend!
