The Nosh is a great place for business or casual dining. Menu is vegan & vegetarian friendly and overall a good dining experience.
Normally this is one of my favorite places to eat. I have not been in a while because the last couple times I've been, have not been great experiences. Actually, I haven't had a good experience there since Tyler left as the GM. They are frequently out of things that I order. I'm usually not out late so there's really no reason to be out of anything at 6:00 in the evening. This time they were not out of anything, however, having your server completely forget to put in one of your orders was no better. Let alone the fact that there were no less than 4 servers, including a trainee, who waited on our table. The food was mediocre at best, once we received all of the items we ordered. The menus is now full of rice, which is a sure indicator of an inexperienced chef who know nothing other than throwing filler on the table. The "Asian" choices on the menu left a lot to be desired! If you don't know how to make a proper bulgogi, take it off the menu. In short, I realize now that the reason I stayed away for so long was because I saw a trend and it pains me to say that the trend continues. I will not be back any time soon.
We enjoy going to the Nosh for our date nights. When people ask us where to go on a date that isn't a typical place--we always mention the Nosh
Food is normally very good, but ordered the salmon, while it had a nice appearance and was cooked to medium ( perfect ) it wasn't cooked to order. It was precooked. Yikes! It was not busy and our food came out quite fast but it was barely above room temperature. No reason that piece of salmon shouldn't have been piping hot. Disappointing to say the least.
Noah's current menu was great and the service was top notch as always.
They served peanuts to someone with a peanut allergy. The menu clearly stated that this partcular dish did not have peanuts but they put them in there anyway. The staff did even understand the danger they put their customers in. We left and never finished our meal. Of course they charged us too. Never going back.
Great atmosphere, food and superior services, everyone was polite and attentive, true team effort
Our large group of 8 friends had a great time here due to fantastic wait staff, delicious coctails and food. We are all looking forward to our next visit.
Got the 4 courses selected by waiter, everything was very good and provided the opportunity to try foods that we would not have ordered on our own. Very fun atmosphere would recommend!
My wife and I had a nice dinner at Nosh on February 17, 2017. We were seated promptly just before our reservation time. Our server was right there to ask about drinks and appetizers. It wasn't crowded, so the noise level was a lot lower than it often is when the establishment is full.
Our cauliflower share plate with miso was awesome, as was the dumpling plate ( for me). However, we needed the dumplings to be cilantro free due to an allergy, and our server noted that when we told her. When the dumplings arrived they were covered with cilantro, so my wife could not partake of them. The server explained that the kitchen changed the garnish on her. The better response would be to ask the kitchen to redo the dish.
My wife did enjoy her lentil soup a lot, and my Nosh burger was very good.
The only other negative was that we were only half way done with the appetizers when the main dishes arrived, so it was too rushed.
We'll return as the food is very good, but we'll remind the server to read the allergy information I submit along with my Open Table reservation, and I'll keep reminding the server about that.
I took my wife to this restaurant on Valentines Day. The service was good, the food was good as well, however, i cannot give it a 5 because the Menu was very limited because of Valentines Day. I will definitely go back and check out the regular Menu and see what it has to offer.
Valentine's Day. Nosh was busy so dinner took 2 hours. Music selection did not match ambiance at all. Grilled peppers in main course still had stems on them. Drinks were perfect. Menu choices were romantic--included spicy, heat, tart and umami. I enjoyed sweets at the end. So chef took my taste buds on a journey and at the end I was a little let down. I guess biting into the pepper that brought me to tears didn't help (and I like very hot food). $168 for VD dinner and four drinks.
Dinner was for Valentine's Day - upon reservations there was no mention of a fixed menu. We received a phone message of this fact on that same day in the afternoon, which was not enough time to change our plans. There were only two 5-course choices: vegan and non-vegan. We chose the non-vegan, which were super spicy, and we had no choice in the level of how spicy the entrees were. Although the food was tasty, the portions were small, we left hungry. The restaurant decor is beautiful, the food tasty, and the service was good. We would have preferred some sort of indication of the menu selections prior to that day.
The restaurant overall was nice. My husband and I went for Valentine's Day. Upon making the reservations, I was told that the dinner was a special 6 course meal. The appetizer (meatball) was about the size of a 50 cent piece but was quite tasty! We preordered a vegetarian spring roll in place of the sushi - it was excellent! The salad and soup was divine! The entree (steak) was not really a steak. This was quite disappointing. It was a skirt steak type soup and the dessert was extremely small - two small banana donut/dumplings in an almond sauce. The price of the meal did not reflect the heartiness of the dinner! for $106 I expected more. The service was excellent, but I don't think I'll recommend it to my friends for special occasions.
The food was wonderful as always. We ended up ordering more than we should have but the various flavors were worth it. It was a perfect dinner for date night. Definitely need to come back and sample more of the menu.
We come often (special occasions), and thought the food was missing something this time (at least on 3/4 dishes). Had the pork belly with kimchi, thought the kimchi was bland and NEEDED a vinegar or acid of some kind. Also had the Wonton Nachos, and craved a heavier balance of the vegetables (versus coconut cheese, which we liked for the spice but it was very one note), as the veggies were the most flavorful part. My husband called my bulgogi beef "better," though I LOVED the chili marinated cucumber (it reminded me of real kimchi I used have in S. Korea). I made the comment during dinner that the cucumber is what I wanted he aforementioned kimchi to be). We totally dig the bacon egg rolls, especially the dipping sauce. We'll be back because we've had better meals multiple times, but we might not be in a rush.
My chicken was burned the first time. They gave me a complimentary soup while I waited for it to be remade. When it did come out however, it was very delicious. For real it was stupid good. WOW! So it made up for the wait.
We met up with friends we hadn't seen in awhile . We were looking forward to sharing a delicious meal together . This was our first time and our friends had been here several times . We won't likely return as the food was just ok . We chose the 4 plate sharing experience . There wasn't a ton of flavor . The cocoa chai dessert and petite Shiraz wine were the best tasting . Our friend ordered salmon and ate a little of it before sending it away . They took it off our bill which we are grateful for
Poor ambiance but great food. The music playing was distracting
We will be back. The calamari was the biggest, juiciest we have ever had. Everything we ordered was spicy. This is not the place for mild or bland food. The place is tucked inside a big building on the south side of downtown, a little hard to find the first time. The tasty small plates and casual atmosphere will bring us back for more.
We took some friends and had a great time. We ordered the experience, and the waiter did well. Stayed for about 3 hours and had a blast.
Love this place!!
Food- great (but not big portions) but so so good!!
Try the experience- best date night
Sorry Nosh but we weren't impressed this time. The rice bowl had no flavor, the beer salad was mush and the Brussels sprouts tasted like refrigerator ... not as I remember.
I was impressed, it was a very "grown up" setting. Quiet and respectful. It was very enjoyable and the prices were decent. I had a burger that was perfectly medium with locally sourced ingredients. The beef was from Black Forest. They had more high end things on the menu but I just wanted a burger. I also had the wanton nachos to share. They were awesome. The environment was the most important thing. it was low lit, quiet but fairly busy for a snow night. Candle lit dinner, with easy parking with validated parking in the garage. Can't go wrong with this place for a date.
The food and drinks were incredible! Unfortunately we went on NYE, and was unaware of the pre-fixe meal. I reserved on OpenTable, but had a photo be call confirmation the day before. During that phone call, I should have been notified about that. The service was also terrible. They kept messing up our order on the courses, and either took way too long between courses or gave us the next one before we were done with the only before. They were also very awkward and seemed very flustered. Overall I am not sure if I would go again, even though the food was amazing.
Lovely spot for a special New Year's Eve dinner before attending the nearby Philharmonic. Great decor, interesting food pairings, delicious courses and stellar service!
For NYE we were not expecting a price fixe menu, but were handed a choice of vegan or steak, with no price stated. We chose the steak option, the courses very small (one shrimp, a piece of fried tofu) and the small piece of steak was overdone and dried out. It ended up costing over $10.00 per course. Several times the server called me "sweetheart". I was seated right next to an outside door where people went in and out the entire time we were eating (and it was cold!). Halfway through dinner the lights went out and we literally could see nothing on the table. We had to tell the waitress because she didn't notice, her response was the lights were "broken". There was no effort to move us or compensate us.
Never again! We rarely go out for an evening in Colo Spgs because the experience is typically so bad, our money is better spent in Denver.
The food was very tasty, but portions seemed rather small for the set menu pricetag. Our table was pretty dark, but not all tables had inferior lighting. Service was very good!
Our waiter was ok...nothing exceptional. My soup I had (duck vegetable was way too peppery), the calamari appetizer came out as sticks and the calamari fell out of the breading. The hambergers were good, the salmon very good,, my salad was ok, not great. It was cold sitting by the wall. all in all it was fine, but don't know if I would make a point to go back anytime soon.
Beautiful restaurant, I've been wanting to try it for a while. The server was running the whole time, they seemed short staffed and it was a weekend night. The food/drink runner brought every order to the table behind us first then brought it to our table. They even left our drinks on the other peoples table, walked away, then realized their mistake and grabbed the drinks back from them and put them on our table. It might not have been so bad if our drinks didn't come 10 minutes after our first tapas came to our table. The pepper fries were greasy, the pork belly was undercooked. The wings were ok and the wonton nachos were good. Overall a really lousy experience. They comped our wings because we were done with everything and waited another 25 minutes for the wings. Took 20 minutes to get a beer every time I ordered. I could hear the people at the table behind us loudly complaining about their service too, so it wasn't just us.
