Met friends for dinner pre-theater. Great beer selection. Salads and burgers were delicious.
Service was very slow and a significant portion of the place smelled like spilled beer.
The place smells TERRIBLE. Food was all cold - extremely long wait for food.
The food was overpriced for the quality. I was happy with the food, just not with the price we paid for it.
Our meal was delicious! The service was spot on, too. My only complaint was that the mixed drinks from the bar were not especially tasty. We made a reservation and had no wait at all. Definitely going back for brunch.
I do not consider a meal as “Southern Brunch” unless it includes both grits and biscuits & gravy. This particular dining experience had both! And they even went one step further by making these items ‘all you eat’ with an array of toppings, sauces, and meats to build the perfect bowl of grits. Pairing those things with an ice cold mimosa makes for a perfect meal.
The only thing I would constructively criticize is the amount of time it took to have a waiter approach our table and take our drink order after we had sat down. Several waiters passed our table and did not even greet us, but more hurried past as to not have to take claim of our order. When we were finally served, our waiter was delightful, attentive, and very patient. I would definitely recommend Nose-Dive if you are in search of a delicious (and very filling) brunch.
We were fairly disappointed with our 1st trip to Nose Dive! We were in town for the REO/Styx concert and stayed at the Westin next door and think all downtown Greenville restaurants are pretty good thought it was a good pick. We were there early Saturday evening and when I selected the Mac-n-cheese with side of braised short ribs the waitress said they were out of the Mac-n-cheese! How can that be? Switched up to the salmon which I ordered medium rare and it was completely cooked and very dry. My wife had the chicken and waffles (sweet potato waffles) which she said were okay at best. Just saying with all the quality restaurants downtown this one didn't stand up to the competition.
Our lunch was amazing, service was great! We definitely would go back! Biscuits and gravy were great! I got the fried chicken sandwich...to die for!!
I made a reservation for 5. We were seated at the worst possible table in the room. (I waited tables in college, and so did husband). If I make a reservation, I do not expect to get the worst table in the house. We were right by the hostess stand. Really? Reservations should get better tables then walk-ins. I can not believe how bad the table was. I am thankful to our waiter, who was excellent. Food was great. Bad tables are for walk ins...Please explain this to hostess.
Wonderful service from Sky.
The Easter brunch was great. Everything I tasted was delicious. In addition, they had plenty of gluten free options for my daughter. I also loved that the large sliding glass doors were open so that we could experience the beautiful day.
Really bad fish . Two different qualities . Then I told them and returned with another bad filet. Was sick at night . My girlfriend had stomach runs too .
Service was slow which was disappointing. The hamburger was very good.
This place is providing consistently good food, service and an enjoyable atmosphere. Thanks for the efforts!
One of my favorite every day meal stops.Consistently good and servers are friendly and attentive.
Nose Dive is one of our favorite lunch spots for our weekly "ladies who lunch." It's especially fun to sit by the front windows and people and dog watch. However, what brings us back is the food. Their salads are always fresh and their lobster roll is an absolute must for our resident "New Yorker." Doesn't matter what you order, it is good! Their burgers are also excellent. Just a great place for lunch with good friends.
Sunday brunch selections were good. I tried the blackened shrimp tartines which was delicious. My friends were pleased with their entrees. Service was good. Our server made sure we got to our play on time. It was a chilly day and 3 of us wanted hot tea. Might want to add to your menu
Good tasting brunch but not impressed with the pricing. Husband got a large chicken sandwich with fries for 10 bucks and I got a pitiful small toast with avocado spread for 9 bucks. Vegetarian/vegan options were slim to none.
Great Brunch! And great Mimosas! Will definitely be back :)
All 5 of us enjoyed our meals. Lobster roll was great! Generous portion of lobster and not too much mayo. Also really liked mac n cheese ans fish fry. Would prefer a cheese dip with pretzel stick appetizer, and sticks were pretty small. Fun atmosphere.
I love eating at Nose Dive! The menu has something for everyone and the atmosphere is fun and cozy, just like the food. The drink menu is extensive and allows for the perfect accompaniment to whichever entree you choose.
We loved the pretzels for our appetizer, definitely recommend!
Delicious food, especially the lobster roll.
We ordered the short rib tacos, lobster roll and the REUBEN Burger (daily special). Everything was very very good and we had a wonderful lunch. Since It was our first visit, we tried several things and knew we over ordered. A doggie bag was in our future. With the exception of the lobster roll (understandably) the portions were huge. The lobster roll was lightly dressed and severed with the perfect buttered roll...YUM. YOU CANT GO WRONG ORDERING IT, if you are craving a New England Lobster roll. The big stand out entree was the burger! If the REUBEN burger ever shows up on the menu again- ORDER IT! It was the best burger either of us has ever had. We love Reubens so it was a must have for us and our eyes rolled in our head with each bite. We’ve had many high end gourmet burgers in Midtown Atlanta and other cities so we feel we have had some really awesome burgers to compare this one to. Please, Please add it to your menu! You would see us on a regular rotation, for sure. Thanks for the awesome day!!
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Good location near the Peace Center. Prices about norm for downtown area. Service was good but not overwhelming.
We had a great table which was ready minutes after getting there. Our waitress was good and the food was outstanding.
My friends and I had went to the Nose Dive prior to seeing The Color Purple at the Peace Center, we all had the Grit Bar. The service was great (awesome waitress), the food was delicious. It was a great location, had open air dinning. We absolutely loved it. The only negative thing I could say was the location of the bathrooms, it was located outside of the restaurant in the adjoining building, it was a bit of walk and kind of confusing to get to and the bathrooms needed some cleaning but it was not that big of a deal. I will come again and definitely recommend to my friends and family!
The server was not as attentive as our previous experiences at this restaurant but the food was delicious and my wife's beer was yummy as well! We will definitely be back!
This was the 3rd time and I was not disappointed. Lobster roll was great and my friend had the steak. Very tasty and they seated us by the window so we could people watch. Overall, the experience was very pleasant and great eatery before the show.
First time here - a little loud, but fun. Not the place for a quiet conversation. Good menu, would like to try brunch next time
Great service and food. They always make sure to get you out in time if going to the Peace Center.
Fries are too salty
Sunday brunch with out of town friends. It was very enjoyable!
Thoroughly enjoyed - delicious food!!! Great ambiance too!
This place was so good for brunch that we came back the next day for dinner.
Excellent service and delicious food! There are a lot of menu options and our meal tasted like it was made from fresh ingredients.
I am gluten and dairy-free, and the previous chef’s son had many food allergies, and, as a result, the old chef instituted a separate fryer just for gluten-free things, and our waitress and was very knowledgeable and helpful!’
We visited Nose Dive on a busy Saturday night. We had a reservation and were seated upon arrival. They put us in the bar area at a high top table. When the restaurant is full, you will not have a quiet dinner. Service was slower than normal. We waited approximately 40 minutes for our food. Our waiter put too much ice in my tea so it tasted like water. At my request, he did bring me another one with less ice. Our food was very good. I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had their evening special, which was a pork chop with potatoes and carrots with a creamy Dijon mustard sauce. I can't wait for warmer weather when they open up the windows to the outside patio seating.
One of the most friendly staff I’ve ever had at a restaurant in Greenville. Despite a bit of a wait for our entrees, the servers and managers more than made up for it with their hospitality!
Fantastic food and service! I’m obsessed with the chicken and waffles. Was a little noisy but that’s to be expected on a Friday night. We had our two year old with us but that didn’t phase the servers a bit; they were so attentive to her needs. Love this restaurant!
Our group of 6 ate at Nose Dive before attending a concert at the Well. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the Crispy Fried Chicken Skins at the recommendation of someone at the bar as well as the Crab and Shrimp Lettuce Cups. Both were delicious. For dinner, everyone had something different (Lobster Roll, burgers, fish n chips) and not one person complained about their meal. I'm pretty sure every plate was clean by the end.
We were celebrating a milestone birthday and the bacon brownie was brought out for the table to share.
I highly recommend Nose Dive for any occasion and will certainly visit there again.
My friend and I loved this place. We enjoyed the chicken skins, OMG they were awesome! The mac and cheese was delicious. We will definitely be back!
