Poor service, cold food, cold coffee and the bill included two item I did not order.
I probably won’t be returning.
Great atmosphere and even better food! Whenever we are in town, we always have to get brunch here.
What a lovely dining experience! Walking in the bartender greeted us with a smile and served us a drink promptly while we waited a few short minutes for our table. Our server was attentive and the food delicious! The atmosphere is lively without being too loud, and overall the experience was excellent. Will definitely be back...
Invited some friends who had never been to North Pond, enjoyed the food and experience!
North Pond is such a hidden gem. While it's not easy to find, tucked into the heart of Lincoln Park, it is so exceptional that it is well worth the effort. Every dish is extraordinary, service is impeccable and the ambiance makes it seem like a sanctuary from the city chaos. This is our go-to restaurant for special celebrations and we are never disappointed.
Always a great spot to go for a special occasion! Great food, service and ambience
Outstanding seasonal tasting with delicious wine pairings.
Wonderful mixture of flavors and textures. Exactly what you would expect from a 5 star restaurant. Favorite dish was the black bass for the main course and maple bacon soup for first course.
Ambiance was very romantic, warm and low lighting. A bit close to other diners but not overly so.
Great meal with excellent service and ambience in a memorable setting
The restaurant is tucked in a park, so it was a little hard to find. However, the food and service was excellent. We were celebrating an engagement and the restaurant menu had a congratulation at the top of the menu. What a great surprise. They also presented a chocolate dessert dish with a congratulations to the party. Fit for foodies.
Wonderful - food was amazing, view of city fantastic, and warm inviting atmosphere!
Absolutely amazing as always! Our favorite restaurant in Chicago!!
North Pond continues to be one of my favorite places to dine in Chicago. The Brunch on Sunday was fabulous. The fish I ordered as a main course was perfectly prepared and served on an interesting plate resembling a slab of slate.
If you know. You know.
Among the best meals, I've ever had! Food was exquisite and service was impeccable. A must return trip!
Hands down one of the best meals and service I’ve had in Chicago. The staff went above and beyond to help celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Everyone was raving about our experience there afterwards.Thank you North Pond!
Everything was wonderful and I’ll absolutely be back.
Had a reservation for four, was able to book last minute which was great. Had heard about the hype and was very excited to try this Michelin Star restaurant. All I know for certain about the food, is that it definitely wasn’t better than the new Popeyes chicken sandwich.
The meals were creative and exceptionally delicious! The service was top rate! Don’t miss the Foie Gras!, with a symphony of flavors to enhance the foie gras.
The food and presentation was impeccable. Beautiful building on a pond. Kelly was every bit eccentric as she was sweet. The foods is so delicious, but don’t expect big plates. Love this place and will definitely come back.
I've dined at North Pond many times and it is consistently outstanding in all respects---beautiful setting, attentive service, delicious food. Great place to take a date or celebrate a special event. First place I recommend for out of town guests.
Great food and the entire staff was extremely friendly. Would definitely go back!
Incredible service and ambience. The tasting menu was very interesting and creative!
The art of delicious food, in a beautiful unique atmosphere.
Place was decorated with a nice degree of rustic charm, however completely out of place was a super bright noise modern open kitchen. It ruined the ambiance of the entire dining room. It was so out of place with the rest of the decor and so distracting.
Waiter also made ordering vegan very difficult. He was able to recite the menu well enough, but really was very forceful about not allowing any modifications to the menus.
And when I tried to Eder two entrees (me as an appetizer) he flat out refused for some reason. So bizarre.
They did not a single vegan item. It’s strange at a higher end restaurant, which they are trying to be, to not be more accommodating to the patrons. It’s almost like staff felt like acting snooty would make it so.
I am fortunate enough to have eaten in plenty of fancy restaurants, and they usually bend over backwards lol.
It was just ok. Too many o the r great spots in Chicago.
We had a wonderful time at North Pond. It was my husband birthday dinner and we were more than pleasantly surprised at the experience. Our server was the best and she gave us the guidance we needed without being pushy. Wonderful evening.
Great experience and better from years ago. Wines, food, and service outstanding
service was not the best. nobody told us what we were being served initially and bus boy grabbed plates so quickly that crumbs fell on to me and the table.
Great experience. Worth every penny.
We celebrated a big anniversary here, and were delighted with the delicious food, the kind service, the warmth and charm of the building and interior, the view of the park and surrounding city scene. The interior sets the mood for a nice, romantic evening of savoring and conversation, with Frank Lloyd Wright influences. Service was polite, personalized, and attentive. The charcuterie board was a huge hit with us, so much flavor and variety. Our main courses and dessert were delicious. The big surprise for us was what a value the evening was, to get so much quality at reasonable prices. Overall, it was a perfect place for our anniversary.
Beautiful building. Especially the front room. The food was very good. The service also. It was a special occasion and they treated us very well. We did feel slightly rushed at times but that was mostly because we were in absolutely no hurry
Seasonal menu was incredible value; final 3 dishes were awesome. Ambiance- old school and with bad weather, felt an awful draft through the windows. The food though was well worth it. They incorporated great flavors and made it for a great occasion.
North Pond never disappoints!
We enjoyed a very lovely evening in this beautiful space and gorgeous setting. The food was absolutely delicious, service excellent and altogether a great evening!
The food was not worth the price. My beef dish was gross.
I would recommend North Pond with a caveat. The service, setting, ambiance, were great; the food is a little on the "precious" side. Sauces are a little too exotic. That said, it is a wonderful place for a special occasion.
We had an early evening reservation and as a result were seated at the front along the open windows with the million dollar view of the loop towers. Nothing compares nor did the food and service disappoint! We’ll be back soon.
We had such a special evening! Beautiful setting and amazing food. We loved the personalized menu :)
Dining the way it should be . Save the loud music for after dinner
A perfect place to share a meal. So picturesque and the food was amazing with a great wine selection.
