Great service. Meatball sandwich just perfect. Bombolini, did I say Bombolini... Awesome!
Good experience overall. North has a great atmosphere and we were seated rather quickly after checking in for our reservation. Few issues with food orders and had to ask 3 times for more water before she finally brought me a water. Was never offered another drink either. Food was great and our server was very sweet just seemed stressed and scattered.
We had not dined at North in months......thought we would give it one more chance, which turned out to be a huge mistake. The only thing worse than the service (our party of three was seated for almost two hours, mostly spent waiting for our order) was the quality of the food. My iced tea was served in a 4 oz glass.....explained as "the only glass that was left". Refills were non existent, as we asked FOUR times for water refills etc. My lady ordered a second glass of wine, which was served as an afterthought AFTER we paid the bill. My chicken parm was acceptable, however, the accompanying pasta was cold.....after our long wait, I didnt send it back or we would have opened the place for breakfast. Another in our party had a pizza, supposedly with mushrooms and onions and smoked mozzarella. It was absurd......the topping covered about one third of the pizza, and the topping was paper thin. We counted four tiny slices of mushroom....like I said, absurd. We will not return, and will discourage anyone considering dining at North.
The waiter, David, was outstanding and was an enjoyable person to talk to.
The food and service are always outstanding at North!
Our server, Daniel, was really outstanding. He recommended a fantastic wine and was attentive without being overly attentive. My out-of-town guests loved the food and several times said they wished they had a North in their community.
Love the atmosphere, our waitress Victoria was a delight.
We made a last-minute reservation on Open Table, and when we arrived they had our name and expected us. It was very busy and very noisy (due to crowd and hard surfaces), so hard to converse. Service and food were good. Our server was patient with our desired timing of ordering and eating. Salads are HUGE - good for sharing.
We shared a vegetable salad and a salmon entree, both were excellent! Bread is always good .
Most of the food was good....took awhile to get beverages to the table. One note wine list is way way over priced. Even on the 20% off it's absurd. If you know your wine like we do than you'll realize this. They tel you great deals on the 20% off list...then their special wine list is even more absurd. So stay away from those pitfalls & you'll be fine.
We had a fabulous evening!
We had reservations at 10 am and they opened 10 minutes late. We were the 2nd table seated out of 6 tables, all other 5 got waited on and served drinks and food. While we sat for 15 minutes with no one stopping by our table. Went to hostess stand and inquired where I was told it was a rough morning. They did finally send a server who was great. Provided excellent service to us and the manager did comp zucca chips. Just disappointing as were having a late Easter celebration brunch with family and it got off to a bad start.
We were having lunch with the in-laws and it was very pleasant and they were really impressed with the restaurant
The restaurant staff were very accomodating. Great service!
Oliver, our server, was outstanding! He really did a great job.
Another great dinner date with my wife :)

Great food & location. Could have been more attentive with drinks. Had to request additional drinks.
I come to North quite often. I was a little disappointed with the service. Felt kind of like a truck stop. Take your order, disappear until your entree arrives, then show up again when you’re finished. I think the server was really struggling to keep up; too many tables or something.
Our waitress was great, we sat on the covered patio which was very loud.
Appetizers were ok, the food was terrible I had guest from out of town and I wanted to take them to a good place, but the 4 entrees were really bad choices, pasta was very dry, the salmon and filet not good also, I regret taking my friends over there
Wonderful food and service. Beautiful night for sitting outside on their patio.
Our service was friendly and fast. The food, as always, was delicious. We love the covered patio that is dog friendly. The noise level was pretty bad but can't be helped.
Went to North for Easter brunch. Understandably crowded, but very well organized. Sat outside on patio, as noise level more acceptable. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food (braised short ribs, scallops, calamari) was excellent, also interesting cocktails which were superb. Try the I.G.T. (Italian Gin & Tonic), a great twist on a classic!
This was a special occasion, and they were very busy. But everything made me want to come back for a nice dinner on a normal night. Great place.
We sat on the patio, where the noise level was lower than the main room. Food and service was very good
We love coming to North. The food is always good. We order something different frequently and we are never disappointed
Tasty food. Reasonably priced
I used to really like this place, but they just don't know how to create a good dining experience. Here's a few examples: 1) We had an early dinner at 4:15 and had a reservation. When we walked to the front door, a receptionist took all our info and told us to go to the front desk. We walked in a few steps to the front desk, and they asked us the same questions all over again (do you have a reservation, what's your name, etc.). Redundant, completely unnecessary, and annoying! Clearly, if they have enough people to duplicate this effort, their prices are too high! 2) After we finished appetizers and they brought our entrees, the servers left the empty appetizer plates on the table. They took the empty serving dishes, but left the dirty appetizer plates we were using. 3) When everyone but me was done with their food, the server took all the dishes, except mine, and left me eating alone...with no other dishes on the table! Clearly the server had no idea about table manners! In summary, that's the feeling I get about this restaurant--that the management has no clue about table manners or quality of service, etc. Everyone is so busy rushing around being busy, that they don't even know how to treat the customers. I won't go back!
We were seated and waited 20 minutes before anyone came to our table with water.
North is one of the few restaurants we go to and go to frequently. The food, service, and ambiance. They accommodate my very restricted dietary needs without hesitation and we have never had a bad staff member.
Our reservation was for patio seating. We had to wait a bit to be seated. There was a toddler in our party, so this wasn’t the most leisurely of meals. Our waiter was very good about making sure we had bread and drinks. The restaurant was very busy tonight, with large parties. Our food was delicious. We’ll plan to arrive at an earlier time on our next visit.
Waiter made the experience cheerful, which was good because the food was not. Overall, expensive, mediocre and loud.
Best vibe in Tucson.
Food, service, and scene always consistently good.
In a town that’s college and/or retired people, North has the best combination to make everyone happy.
Vito, the manager, knows what he’s doing and his staff is the best.
Told them it was for anniversary. Not only was there no mention of it- they staff forgot half the food order.
The ratings implied that thIs was going to be a fine dining experience. It was not. The atmosphere was lively and the restaurant was crowded. These were all signs that the eating experience was going to be good. But we ordered four different entries and everyone of us was disappointed. Three of the dishes were cold implying that they had been left sitting for a long time before being served. The food tasted like we were at a chain. Most of us chose not to eat the entire dish. This restaurant appears to be too big to deliver quality food. It is clearly overrated.
The food was just so so, I’ve had much better Italian. The restaurant had a difficult time using the OpenTable gift card for $10.00 giving me only $8.00 off our meal. The waiter said only $8.00 would only go through their system, what ever that meant. You would have thought the manager would have rectified the situation rather have the poor waiter trying to explain it. I don’t plan on returning since we felt they were more worried about giving us the addition $2.00 off the meal rather than making the customer happy.
We had a great experience. The food was excellent. Our server went extra to make sure we were happy. We are planning to go back again soon.
I just wanted to say I am extremely grateful and satisfied with our trip to north here in Tucson Arizona, skyline drive. The wait staff went out of their way to congratulate us on our 10 year anniversary. It was our first time here and we are so happy we choose to celebrate it at your restaurant. You made us feel special and cared for and even better the food was amazing!! We will definitely be back and thank you to North Tucson Az for making our anniversary special!!!
Food was excellent, would definitely recommend to others. Our only complaint was that our waiter left very quickly after checking on us after getting our meal. My husband wanted another drink, but the waiter left so quickly, he couldn't. He didn't check on us again until we were ready for a check. Overall good, but that particular waiter could have been more attentive. We went at 530 pm on a Tuesday, so it was too busy of a time.
