North Italia – Tucson Ratings and Reviews
I was astounded that despite being swamped with people outside waiting, they so quickly ascertained that we had reservations and seated us within minutes. I was totally impressed, as well, that with so very many people, the waitress assigned us returned after each serving to check on us. The Branzino (fish) was grilled to perfection! The tiramiso was b far the best I've tasted...the wine selection was perfect. This is easily our new favorite special restaurant.
Had a problem with being waited on but finally cornered a waiter who took our drink order. Then the manager came over, apologized and gave us a great appetizer. From then on everything was wonderful and both server and manager checked back frequently. Food was terrific and again all worked out.
As always, food was great, and service impeccable, Chase was our server and was attentive,m friendly, and offered suggestions on alternative menu options to please everyone at the table as well as making sure to suggest happy hour options for wine. It was one of the first cold nights in Tucson, so our table was in a direct line between the door to the patio and the entry door, creating a chill every time someone went out (which was frequent due to a large party on the patio), so our elderly mother had to wear a coat the entire meal, next time I will be sure we are not seated in that spot. All in all a great dining experience.
This is a go-to for work functions and for dinner out with friends and loved ones. Every person I have taken here has loved the food, the ambiance, and the drinks! The pasta is homemade and fresh, the pizzas are creative and delicious. They have a great wine and beer list and their cocktails are also very good. Check out their seasonal specials as well - this past week they had truffles on special and the pasta with truffle sauce was AMAZING! I go here every time I am in town (3 times in the past 3 months, about 8 times this year) and I have never been disappointed.
Always tasty. Great Italian food and nice portions. They do separate checks for groups. Lots of free refills on soft drinks. Great service. Fresh food.
Inside is noisy -- all hard surfaces, but not that noisy
Outside is lovely
Favorite dish -- short ribs radicatore
Food took a very very long time to arrive. Manager had to
Come and apologize. We ordered a happy hour pizza and spaghetti and meatballs. Nothing too complex. Ambiance is lovely. Patio is very comfortable and nice. Eating inside can get very loud so we prefer outdoor seating always.
