Food was very good. Unfortunately, the noise level prevented a reasonable conversation with my husband.
Surprised when birthday desert was brought to the table before we finished our entrees!
Nice menu, good food, great service by Viviane, but it's pretty noisy. If you're going with a date or someone you really want to talk to, definitely don't go for dinner.
Devin is an outstanding server. We usually go on Sundays for dinner and we always request her. Great spot for Sunday dinner.
Seated right away even though early. Good service but noisy where we were. Food was great - good choices.
The food and service are excellent, but it’s soooo noisy, you can barely hear your dining partner. We’ll try it again for lunch but won’t go back for dinner.
Food and cocktails excellent as usual
The place overall was great. I took my girlfriend out for a nice dinner and that's what we got. The only thing me and her didnt like is it was just way to loud. Not the music just to many people talking. But it was great. The server we had was good. Very knowledgeable and energetic and nice to us. I'd come back again
Great. As always.
Great food, great service, great venue, and reasonably priced. It continues to be one of Tucson's go-to restaurants, for great reasons!
I would give a much better review however we were celebrating our 51 st anniversary and our family experience was ruined by our main course service. One meal didn’t arrive until all others were finished eating. Unfortunately it was our youngest family member who was quite hungry and unhappy! We weren’t charged however, an earlier explanation would have been helpful to perhaps reorder.
Always enjoy the food at North but a little loud for my taste
We enjoyed our evening at North Italia and will be back the next time we are in Tucson. We started off with the lovely Chef's Board along with the Grilled Artichoke appetizer. We then had the Tuscan Kale salad, Funghi pizza, and the Short Rib Radiatori. All were very tasty and we would order all the above, again. Most impressive was the high level of service that we received. Thank you!
So good - always a great experience. Love the Italian wine list. A little pricey but complimentary to the authentic Italian food.
Excellent service and attention by Vito the manager
Great food, slow service, really loud. Would recommend on food alone if you have time to spare. Maybe sitting outside would be better for less noise and yelling across the table.
Came with my sister, for the Pizza. We got the Prosciutto, it was the best I've ever had there. Also we got the squash soup- amazing.
Very noisy place. The pasta was well cooked but they were stuck together ... The service of the wine is a real joke. They open the bottle and put the cork on ... They served the main course while we were eating our appetizer. The place is lively and the terrasse confortable even if it was cold outside.
Super busy and fun place. We both set at the bar, then a table. Both servers were very nice. Great people watching location and it is very lively and busy. :-)
As usually North did not disappoint. Service and food both great. Indoors during busy nights can be a little noisy, choose to sit outside in their heated patio if looking for a quitter spot.
Small portions for the money, very few veggie options.
Lots of energy here, good food raced from kitchen to table. Always enjoy this. Lots of smiles.
Wonderful happy hour. Dragoon IPA for $4. Phenomenal appetizer board for $10. Makes a great dinner by itself or could easily be shared as an app. Excellent service.
We were starved after our hike but not just anything would do, so we were so pleased we ate here. Would definitely come back again and again.
The Zucca chips were burned. My chicken pesto had several undercooked pieces of chicken. We only discovered that at home. Took forever to get anything we asked for.
Gave this place a second chance, this time abysmal food, cold, bland, no flavor, and again they charged me $4 for bolognese sauce(nothing spectacular) without telling me about it! Skip this place I say!
As usual, North delivered the choices and ambiance we cherish so much, kudos!
Service was not the greatest
Amazing food! The best meal and most fun I have had in a long time.
I organized our Foodies Group to have dinner here. I requested a certain table and got it, a certain waiter, Chase, and got him so it was a big hit with our friends. Chase is a super server! He never rushed us, was always available, even tho he was also waiting on tables in a private room, he answered all questions fully and was very pleasant too. The food was good. My branzino was the best I have had in a long time. Two people had the chicken Parmesan and were very pleased with the dish. The pizza was spot on. Two people had the scallops and thought they were good, but the portions seemed very small. Perhaps that is because they are served in a bowl. All in all the evening was everything we hoped it would be.
North is one of my favorite Tucson restaurants. The food is always excellent and the service attentive but not hovering. The wine list is wonderful and the views are fantastic. Just don't go for a quiet, intimate dinner. North is a busy, high volume place.
Service was ok. Food was delicious.
Other than a table with unregulated (read LOUD including shrieking) children that was too near ours, we had a wonderful time. The calamari with arugula was fantastic; we enjoyed our cocktails (thought I can't remember what they were called); the Funghi pizza was also perfect with a lite crispy crust and a good amount of toppings.
Our waiter was attentive without being obsequious. The prices are a bit steep for me, but are probably the market rate. Maybe that's why I so rarely go out to eat....well that and because I am rather a fussy reviewer.
Maybe my expectations are not realistic but with the prices we pay I feel entitled to have high expectations at a restaurant of this caliber and they did not fail to deliver.
Very good food. Attentive service. Unpleasantly noisy atmosphere.
Food is very tasty at North, but the portion sizes have diminished through the years. A $15 salad doesn't even fill the bowl it's served in. Also, our waitress was pushing appetizers way too hard - asking us 3 times if we wanted any was 2 times too many!
Been coming here for years and usually get the same dish, chicken parm. This time the chicken was over cooked to the point of being very dry. Was not impressed. Hopefully a one time occurrence. It was a Monday evening and not busy.
My wife ordered the branzino and I ordered the pizza of the day which was spicy salami it was really tasty and I tried my wife's Branzino it was very very good and before dinner we order the chef board which has sliced Meats cheeses olives nuts and grilled bread it was very good we also had a nice bottle of wine I really recommend this place
While we enjoyed the dinner, we went for the 20th anniversary dinner, they had run out of the special and did not offer an alternative choice. We were very disappointed. We thought this was very poor management.
Was charged $6 extra for changing sauces on my pasta, server never advised there would be a charge, Minestrone soup was warm at best, server said they were running low on bread and he couldn't bring more to the table, not a good experience. Restaurant wasn't that busy to me to be having such slow service.
We continue to frequent North for one very good reason. It is always good!
Yum! We went to take advantage of the fox 35th anniversary celebration was a delicious three-course for $20. You don’t get that very often there. Everything was super yummy and great prices. We went during happy hour so husband got an eggplant pizza that was to die for. And some yummy desserts
