Great server, food wasn’t the best as we have had before. But overall good time with fun atmosphere.
Food was delicious! Blake was our waiter and he was outstanding! Great service!
Everything was amazing!! The food was great, our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and chef Mike made the BEST truffle bread!! Highly recommend this restaurant! Great drinks also.
Food was fantastic!! It’s a little loud so be prepared to be close to your neighbor and repeat yourself every now and again but it’s worth it. Food was delish from beginning to end!
Hadn't Been To North Italia For Months Since We Couldn't Get In...Planned Appropriately This Time And Was Very Happy With Our Dining Experience...Service Was Excellent As Well As The Food Was Delicious And Came Out Fast!! Our Waitress Was In Training With Another Waitress(It Was Her Last Training Night) She Will Be A Great Addition To Your Family!! We Will Definitely Return To Your Irvine Location Shortly!!
Food and service was great. It is a busy restaurant so expect a wait time and expect the noise level of a crowded restaurant. We tried the tiramisu, pistachio cake, and the affogato. Get the affogato! Simply delicious.
Everyone was wonderful! Food was delicious! Service was excellent
Everything from the staff, to the manager stopping by to check in on our table, to the ambience, to the food. 5 Stars! Bravo, North Italia!
Overall experience was alright. Food was a little too salty. Having a conversation was challenging without yelling since it was noisy inside. The atmosphere was nice and spacious. The servers were friendly and give recommendations.
Way to noisy during dinner, waitress had too many tables , food was outstanding. I'll stick to lunch here
We are pretty much regulars at North; with that said... our experience this time was meh.
Food portions were smaller than normal which made it worse by the worlds slowest service... empty drink cups in the hot weather; lack of attention and absent mindedness on requests.
It seemed like our server forgot to put in our order for every course... and required multiple requests to get anything/ everything, i.e., replacement of dirty silverware and dishes.
Just sitting there watching other tables get their food who was sat after us.... and they had appetizers ordered just like us.
Our reservation definitely didn’t start off on a good note either; 5 hostesses standing around doing nothing and talking to each other, unorganized, seating others without reservations before us... sadly this time our experience at North was barely fair.
Bar service is a kettle weak. Food is very good!
Great food. Delicious artichoke and short rib pasta. Definitely be back.
I ordered a cocktail with 7up. It was flat. The server offered to replace it but I chose to drink it. I ordered a second and reminded the server to tell the bartender the 7 up was flat and he said of course. Second drink was the same. Kind of disappointed. Food was delicious.
The table bread is cold and dry. I guess because they want you to buy other bread they offer. So bad.
We thought sauces weren’t anything special. We had spaghetti and chicken Parmesan… Both nothing special.
Tiramisu was really great.
And our server Adam was the best thing about our experience.
The pizza came out cold but not to worry the manager quickly fixed everything— super awesome
Very good but way too much noise. Waitress was awesome.
Service was a bit slow and got a few orders incorrect but all and all good!
Love the meatballs and the short ribs! One of my favorites spots for Italian food.
Good food. Relaxing evening. Delightful service.
Really disliked our server. She was annoyed with us the moment we sat down and made zero effort to help make my husband’s Birthday dinner special. Food was delicious though. Am questioning going back just because of that server.
Good overall, but wished they brought something out for my boyfriend since I marked the occasion as a birthday through open table.
My experience was really frustrating. This was my second time coming here. I wanted to give North Italia another chance, but it still disappointed.
My dad needed a vegetarian pasta. I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if they can customize pastas. The hostess said, "yes". Great. We get there, sit down. The waiter asks if we have any questions about the menu. My dad talks to the waiter:
Dad: I'm on a very strict no meat and dairy diet, can you explain what the kitchen can do to customize a pasta for me?
Waiter: We can do anything you want.
Dad: Could you explain.
Waiter: You can pick any pasta, any vegetable.
Dad: Okay, what pastas do you have?
Waiter: [lists all kinds of pasta cuts]. We can do anything you want.
At this point, my we're frustrated because we have no idea what "anything" is! The waiter just kept saying he can do anything, but we had no idea where to start.
Me: Could you tell me what vegetables you can cook with the pasta?
Waiter: Broccolini, cauliflower, mushrooms, anything really.
Me: Okay, could you just cook those vegetables with a spaghetti pasta with garlic and olive oil.
Waiter: Sure we could do that.
My dad's plate comes and it's a vegetable noodles with onions, cherry tomatoes, and all kinds of vegetables we didn't talk about. The person just drops off the dish and walks away. Another guy comes (not the waiter) to check on our food, I ask him could you tell us what's in the vegetable pasta dish, just so we know the ingredients. He lists all the ingredients and ends with "this is what you wanted, this is what you ordered" looking at each of us though we were wrong. We said "okay" and went about our meal. But, really...THIS IS NOT WHAT WE ORDERED. AND I DO NOT APPRECIATE YOUR TONE. YOU'RE NOT EVEN OUR WAITER.
I would have appreciated our waiter to really help out my dad, check on the order he placed into the kitchen to have come out the way he wanted. That would have been exceptional customer service.
This is our second visit. It was very busy last time so we decide to make a reservation this time. We got seated quickly, but the table was worse than when we didn't have a reservation, even though there were better tables available. We were outside and were next to the busy door to the inside. The server was nice, but she was too attentive. When we said that we will tell her when we are ready to order, she would still come over and check and we felt rushed. The food is good, but not quite to the real, authentic Italian standard we are used to.
Everything we had was great. We will be back!!!
Excellent service from Chelsea. The chicken pesto and truffle butter garlic bread were amazing. The cappuccino was beautiful and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
The food and cocktails were delicious, the service was outstanding. We shared the kale salad, bianca pizza, pasta bolognese and the bombolini. The dining room is a little too loud for a date night, so I would recommend the patio. That's where we will request to sit next time.
NORTH ITALIA has never disappointed. The food and service is always impeccable. Will go again and again
Good food and friendly place
Great place for a business lunch!! The food and atmospher is always amazing and the service is always great as well.. Also, love those donut holes with the lemon curd!!!
Great restaurant, whether for a business meeting or a casual lunch. The patio is nice and quiet. The food is excellent and caters to allergies! I love their gluten free pasta, I usually get the one with pesto, but their pizza options and salads are also wonderful.
Great food and service!
My boyfriend and I dined on Labor Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This was our second time dining at North, and we have loved it every time. The food and ambience are always spot on. My only issue was that I specified we were celebrating our anniversary when I made the reservation, and no special accommodations were made. It would have been nice for the restaurant to do something to make our evening more special than a typical date night out.
Food is always amazing. Sometimes the noise level is too much too take. it is NOT a place to go to have a conversation with friends. That part is a shame, but the wonderful food keeps us coming back.
Best wood fired pizzas. Love the Pig with spicy meats. Good wine selection by the glass. Sat on the patio, we were in the shade and their was a cool breeze.
Labor Day Celebration
Great food and great service. Corkage fee is a little high but everything else was great!
As always, North Italia makes it a pleasure to eat some great Italian cuisine. We had the arrancini and meatballs for an appetizer and then chicken-pesto pasta and the margarita pizza and the burrata bruschetta for our meals. All really flavorful especially the pesto! We will be back!!
The food preparation standard has dropped quite a bit in terms of consistency. We had chicken parmesan, which used to be perfect everytime until recently, they were either way over-cooked (dark brown) or under-cooked. This time, tho edible, was under-cooked.
