North Italia – Denver Ratings and Reviews
6 for dinner celebrating a birthday. Great food. We all got something different and we all loved it! We had appetizers, main meal and shared a few desserts between all of us. We could have a conversation and hear one another. Overall great night with friends and family.
We have dined here a few times and thoroughly enjoyed our latest evening, for our anniversary. The soup was a sweet potato and was excellent. Our entrees (pasta and beef) were perfect. Dessert and drinks wonderful. Always great to see a place stand the test of time.
We made the OpenTable reservation for an early dinner in New Years. We arrived on time and then had to wait 5 mins while they cleared a table in the bar area - even though there were empty two tops available. There were about 20 people seated. They finally sat us and told us the bartender would wait on us. They only had the bar area open and a limited menu... very limited, which they did not disclose at any point. We sat for at least 10 minutes , without a greeting or even eye contact and watching other couples who were seated after us get waited on. There were at least 3 different bartenders or waiters walked within 12 inches of our table multiple times. We finally got up to leave. On our way out I shared with the hosts (there were 2) why we were leaving - as we hit the door the female host said “have a nice day”... Seriously? We ended up going across the street and had a nice dinner. To add insult to injury I rec’d an email from Opem Table stating we had never arrived or been seated for our reservation - they had never even checked us in. I had chosen North because I had been once before and the food was good ... I’m almost certain I will never go back.
After dining in the Cherry Creek area for years, have wanted to try for a long time. Not the experience we were expecting. Server not very attentive. Not sure if bread was part of all service, we had to request it, as other tables had it. Pizza was a bit over cooked. Crust was burnt and not worth eating. Pasta was not hot and felt may have sat for a bit. The pasta was also a choice made after server told us you were known for fresh made pasta and pizza dough. We had to request the dessert menu. When the wrong dessert was brought out, because server was not attentive, made it to be our fault. He did make it right after the fact that I refused to eat the wrong one. Overall just an average experience. The unattentive service stood out more. With the multitude of choices in the area, probably not the first place I would choose or recommend.
Honestly the food and location are wonderful. This is the second time that we’ve been to the restaurant in a month and the service is beyond slow. 15 minutes for a drink and 1 hour for dinner. The were long intervals with no service at all. The waitress was nice when she was there. She definitely needed help
Just not a very good experience this time. The service was lacking (spent more time with the bigger table next to us), pasta was salty. Prosciutto was old and porky (on the chef's plate). Mgr comped us dessert after we complained but even the dessert took a long time and it wasn't like the place was busy by that time..
Nice decor, great staff, very good food. Far too noisy when we first arrived (around 7:00 p.m.). It was difficult to talk with others at the table without raising the volume of our voices significantly. Much quieter in the restaurant later on, which was wonderful.
