North Italia – BLVD
I have eaten here several times and the food has always been very good. If you looking for a quiet, romantic place for dinner this is not it. It is loud with a lot of energy. My last visit was for lunch and my guest I both order 2 different pasta dishes. My portion was visibly smaller than the other. Other than the size of the portion it tasted delicious. I wrote it off to it being lunch but the portion difference was very obvious.
Great go-to place for tasty food, good drinks and great service!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday, and had a great experience. Thank you North Italia for 1/2 off wines!
This our third visit to North Italia BLVD, whilst the food has been good the restuarant is let down by its service staff. The initial reception and table waiting is always long and cramped around people eating at the front area.
This time whilst table service person was ok. The starters were delivered by other staff in the right time frame but the mains were delivered about 5-6 mins later and left on the corners of the table. I had to call the assigned table waitress over to remedy the situation.
I saw the table waitress talk to the manager who then come over a "asked if everything was ok" I explained the situation he apologized with sorry, then left without anything further being said.
The drink waiter poured a beer from a can to a glass which was virtually all foam with little beer until to glass settled 10 minutes later.
In regards to food quality its all good, service quality is the issue on all 3 occasions.
Popular spot! Food was very tasty, table service/server was on point.
Had to wait 10 minutes even with an early reservation. Host staff needs to work on their communication/customer service skills.
I fell in love with this place while visiting San Diego and finally tried the one here in Houston with my mom for a belated Mother’s Day lunch. It was wonderful! The ambience is fun and fresh and of the staff encountered were very nice welcoming and friendly.
The food was excellent. It was my first time trying the pasta and it was divine. Everything tasted fresh and as healthy as you can get for such a decadent treat (the hazelnut torte is a must try for dessert). My mom loved everything as well.
The value to dollar ratio was great and there is nothing I would change about this place. If I hadn’t looked for it beforehand online due to my past experience, I’m not sure I would have found it as it the location was not easy to spot from the street level, but it is a true gem...highly recommended!
This is one of my favorite restaurants!! I drive out of my way just to come here!! The chicken parm is my favorite!!!
Patio was perfect for the Houston weather.. food and service is great
Noted that we were there to celebrate a birthday but there was no acknowledgment of that or mention.
Love North Italia! Delicious food and fun, upbeat atmosphere.
Fantastic food with normally excellent service. Occasionally, when they are very busy, the service suffers. The food has never been anything but amazing.
Prepare yourself for a loud restaurant. It’s fun, the atmosphere is cool, fun, trendy. Do not choose North Italia for an intimate conversation. It is quite possibly the loudest restaurant I have ever been to, certainly top 5.
Noise was so loud I could not hear anyone at my table.
This is one of my favorite places to go no matter what ocassion.
Food was better than expected. Our service was very good, helpful. Despite crowd, we could hear each other in conversation. Food delivery well timed, hot and so delicious! The dessert torte was divine!
I love North Italia!!!!!!!! The best Italian food ♥️♥️ love FRC!!!!
Our server provided excellent customer service. Enjoyed the music and the environment. Your drinks where excellent.
We really enjoyed it. Our table was nice, the food was great. It took a little too long when we would order drinks, but it wasn't a big deal.
Great food! Just don’t expect to go there for a quiet event. It’s popular and loud! Service and food are always exceptional every time I’ve gone (work lunch, date night, GNO) so despite the noise levels I’ll keep going back.
Besides the high noise level and closeness of the tables it was great. The server was attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious.
Great food and service as usual! We celebrated our 2 yr anniversary and had a wonderful evening!
Great food, great service and great company!
Great service. We had Everett as a waiter, he was awesome. Food is great quality. Open concept where you can see pasta being made.
Service was poor, it took 30 min to get a straw and side of lemon I asked for since I sat down. Waitress was terrible, had us waiting more than half an hour for one appetizer, just to bring out the wrong one. The pasta was mediocre and the toppings on the pizza were beyond burnt. Waitress would pass by and see empty glasses on our table but wouldn’t refill them until we asked her to. Really disappointed from their service especially because it wasn’t even busy.
Excellent food and service, but exceedingly loud inside. This has been my only complaint on several occasions but the food and service keep me coming back.
Noise level was not tolerable. Food was good. Prices were good. Waitress was awesome. Not sure I would go back again.
Portion today was alright. I almost returned it since it my dish looked dry...the tasted the same. Either way, it was a miss today but I know it’s not the norm.
I frequent this location. I try to order something different at each visit. My favorite is the chicken pesto and cheese bread. It’s usually perfect. However, on this visit I was less than stellar. The bread came but there was quite a long delay with the pasta dish. I requested salmon to substitute the chicken, the pesto dish came with both. The pesto was thin and watery? The pasta was thick and rubbery? I immediately addressed this with my server Jane. She apologized. It was accepted. I informed her this pesto is not the customary quality. She stated, yes it’s very thin. The manager Tanner came over. He was extremely apologetic and comp the Pellegrino and pasta. I was responsible for the bread. Overall, it was not an ideal experience but I appreciate quality customer service. I’m a loyal patron.
Great place!! It was a very loud environment which could make it a challenge during a business meeting. Overall the food and service was excellent!
The food was great, however, service was sub par. We had to ask for everything, including refills.
Squid Ink Pasta is amazing! I highly recommend that dish!
It was our first wedding anniversary and we made a reservation 2 weeks in advance requesting a booth.I even called and made sure we could get a booth. The hostess(blonde gray dress) was rude and dismissive. Disappointed, we left and went to another restaurant.
Our waiter was super nice and from Brooklyn he loved my shoes that I was wearing on our anniversary! Everything was amazing! I love it here my girlfriend and I will definitely come back!
Italian hotspot blends top quality Italian standards with fun atmosphere. There seemed to be several tables of Italian folks, so I think this place is the real deal! We shared a delicious burrata/tomato salad with crisp sourdough bruschetta. Entrees were slow to come, so our server Tori brought us an order of mussels on the house! The little shellfish were bountiful and fresh. The herby broth with a touch of cream was perfect for soaking with the crispy sourdough bread. My entree was a creamy pasta dish with mushrooms and chicken. Flavors were subtle, but delicious. Pasta had that homemade texture that nobody I know can create at home ; ) My husband had the bolognese. Not zesty but subdued and hearty. Happy Hour prices for wine are fair, but regular wine prices are a bit steep. Cocktail menu looks interesting. Make a reservation! The bar was covered with people waiting to be seated. Enjoy!
I have been to North Italia twice and both experiences have been fantastic!! The food is always amazing and the service is fast and the waiters are so knowledgeable and accommodating! Definitely recommend!!
Birthday dinner for me! Great pizza with fig and prosciutto, great kale salads, but the arugula and Caesar were popular also, great squid ink pasta, EXCELLEMT dessert! Service was stellar!
Great service is the game here, consistent food, wonderful attention to detail in the presentation, superb in house made products!
North Italia should the standard other restaurants should emulate!
Significant wine list; both in by the bottle, or by the glass choice .
My friend had not been there before and loved it!
Amazing place! Luke was very professional and friendly, he recommended multiple options on the menu and everything was delicious! North is one of the best Italian places I have ever try, and will continue to go there and recommend to friends to this wonderful dinning place.
We enjoyed the food, our server was nice but forgetful. Personally felt like he had other more important people he was attending too. So that was frustrating. Honestly, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. My only wish is that our server paid attention to us
