I have always loved North Italia but this trip was so much better then normal (normal has always meant exceptional). It was the first time I have brought my older kids to a very nice restaurant. They are picky and they loved it. The restaurant, the food, all of it. Our server Melissa C was sweet, personable, and very attentive to our needs as customers. It was my birthday and I even received a dessert on them with a card! Thank you for making my birthday a memorable family event. It was perfect!
We ate outside. North needs more fans for cooling the patio and repelling flies. We had non-stop flies during our entire lunch. Other than that, it was great.
Short in waiters
Long waiting times for everything
We celebrated my mother in laws birthday. It was great.
Fantastic pizza with eggplant.
Perfect patio. Excellent food.
The food is always delicious and thoughtful. Our waitress was extremely attentive and positive.
Always nice eating here. Service was good.
Our wonderful lunch with my best friend was deliciously fresh.
For a large restaurant with multiple locations, North Italian is very good. Started with the heirloom tomato and burrata. Outstanding version. Then diver scallops, seasoned and seared to perfection. A little loud to be considered romantic, but still a great place for date night.
Great food and great service. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our server kept up with water and drink refills; we never had to ask for anything.
We are visiting from California and really enjoyed our experience at North Italia.
Great cocktails & brilliant service.
Outside on the patio, great service, great food as always~
Excellent Italian good at a great
Inside was suuuper loud, noise wall hit us as soon as we walked in. They were thankfully accommodating to seating us outside and that helped the noise issue. Our waitress and the staff was fantastic and on top of things. The cocktails were really perfumey, and not very strong for the cost, the food was adequate, the homemade noodles are delicious, but nothing to write home about/that you couldn’t make yourself at home the same if not better. The branzino was really oily and under seasoned and we both needed to add salt to our dishes (I got the bolognese). Not the worst dining experience, just overall underwhelming.
I mean zucca chips and sangria...how could you be anything less than happy?!
Let me start by saying I love North Italia. When my mother offered to take me to lunch for my birthday, I was excited to suggest this restaurant. The food is always great, but our visit left a lot to be desired.
First, despite having a reservation, we were seated at a dirty table. The hostess apologized and wiped off noticeable food debris after we were seated. I specifically requested the patio because it’s usually offers a quieter ambiance compared to the bustle inside the restaurant and it’s also a fun location for people-watching. Unfortunately, on this visit, there was a lot of construction noise coming from the wall behind us. I can only surmise the business behind North was doing some reno on their side of the wall.
As expected, the food was terrific. We started with calamari and while my mother noted the absence of a dipping sauce, I’m okay with drizzle of lemon dressing it’s served with. We both ordered the arugula salad with salmon. The salmon at North is always prepared to perfection. A tangy and refreshing lemon sorbet closed out the meal. Although I noted on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, no mention was made of it during our meal.
COVID has led restaurants to remove all condiments from the table, which required me to request pepper. When I did so, I was provided an empty mill and we had to flag down our waitperson to address the issue. Our server was otherwise cheerful and attentive, but seemed a bit too busy to be able to anticipate our needs.
Finally, I have to mention that the doors on the restrooms at North Italia should be replaced for privacy. They are stylish, frosted glass and allow for an unsuccessfully obscured view of the person inside. As I waited for my turn to enter one of only two (that’s right - 2 toilets for the whole restaurant) unisex chambers, I could easily view each person in embarrassing detail.
Overall, I still recommend North Italia; the food and ambiance are usually on point.
Our server Karey, not sure if I spelled it right, was friendly and provided excellent service . Prompt & Professional.
Food was great!
Todo muy rico y las meseras muy amables
I always have lunch there when I’m in Austin. Great spot!
The wait staff was incredibly accommodating in letting us move to another table that was covered on the patio when there was a bit of rain. The restaurant was very busy and it did cause the service to be slow. The complimentary birthday dessert was a nice surprise. The Farrier's Market Board appetizer was a winner as was the Seasonal Vegetable salads. The added salmon was a nice lunch portion and cooked as ordered. The menu is somewhat limited but well priced and delicious. I would recommend.
Great location with a nice exterior area. Drinks were well made and I highly suggest diners take advantage of the 1/2 price bottles when bought at the bar during happy hour.
We got there early for our reservation and enjoyed some prosecco at the bar and were promptly seated at our table. Everything was great!
good food, nice environment, perfect for date night or for hanging out with close friends
The food has really gone downhill in my opinion
We’ve enjoyed dining at North Italia - Domain many times in the past. However, our experience the evening of May 8, 2020, did not meet our usual expectations. I realize they are still dealing with Covid restrictions, and it was the day before Mother’s Day. Our reservation was for 4:45 p.m. we were 5 minutes early and were told that we’d have a short wait and an outside table, which is what we wanted. At 4:55 we inquired, and were seated at an interior table. Service was slower than what we usually experience at North. Our waiter did not ask if we wanted more Barolo wine, which was unusual.
We had a reservation and they still made us wait while seating walking ins who came after us.
The food, drinks were very good. Great service from the server but not the hostess.
Delicious as always!! Good to get back!
We sat outside on a beautiful day, so noise was not an issue. Food was good, salmon was slightly overcooked, but still tasty. The three of us had different foods which were good. Service was good but a little slow.
The food and service were great. Will go back again.
Great service, food every time!
The restaurant was nice. The atmosphere was good and it wasn’t too pricey. Food tasted great!
Food was very good, service was timely and proactive. Really enjoyed our meal and the time there.
I highly recommend the brunch! Great service, too.
All the food ordered arrived hot and tasty. Ordered the arancini, chicken parm, spaghetti, squid ink pasta, and bolognese. All were very good.
The arancini tasted like mushrooms (as expected) and was soft and cheesy.
Squid ink pasta has small shrimp and calamari. In mi opinion, there could have been more calamari. The black pasta was good.
Spaghetti in marinara and meatballs was very good. Sauce was very tasty and just right - not sweet (as in lots of added sugar).
The other meals were very good as our companions attested to.
They have a good beer and wine selection but do not have a sweet wine such as Asti spumante or asti Moscato.
Strongly recommend getting reservations.
From entrance to exit, it was an amazing experience. Amazing appetizer amazing pizza 10/10 would reccomend!
The shrimp scampi was excellent, as well as the hazelnut torte.
Amazing service, and amazing food! I loved everything we had there, including the cocktails. We sat outside on a Sunday night, I felt safe and had a great time
