North Italia – Arcadia Ratings and Reviews
Met some friends for dinner on a Saturday night. Though we did have to wait a bit for our table (got seated about 20 minutes after our reservation time), the management sent out an appetizer to make up for this which was very nice. The restaurant has a nice vibe... low lighting, not too loud, capacity crowd. Not a huge wine list, but what we all ordered was very good. Food was definitely above average. Our server was very attentive. Great overall experience.
The food was amazing. Their happy hour prices and specials, were great for a family of 6. The happy hour allowed the family to try the bruchetta and the board/wine combo. Each family member split their meals, and that allowed us all to experience the many flavors that North offered. What a great night!!!!!
Our server as amazing. Everything else was just good. It was a bit loud, but it was Friday night. For the amount of money we spent, I'm not sure we would go back as there are lots of similarly priced restaurants in Phoenix where you can eat just as well and still speak to your dinner companions without shouting.
Came here to celebrating my friend's birthday. Food was very good, consistently with high quality. The restaurant decor is friendly and comfortable as if sitting in a very large kitchen. Our wait staff, John, was super friendly and helpful, he made our dinning experience so much more special!
We have been to North more times than I can count, every other time it has been fantastic. Saturday night was the exception, the food was not to the standard we have become used to at North. The pizza was so drenched in oil it was almost inedible. The table next to ours also commented the the food was different, not as good as usual. Maybe there was a change in kitchen, I truly hope North returns to its previous standards so we can return to a long time favorite. Based on previous experiences I will continue to recommend North to friends but with hesitation that was never there in the past.
I went earlier in the week for happy hour and after seeing the menu decided to return for a birthday dinner.
Italian Farm salad was a nice mix of greens, vegetables and dried/fresh fruit. A bit underdressed and dressing could be a tad more acidic.
Divers scallops on corn risotto was perfect.
Dessert was a nontraditional not very strong coffee tiramisu with dark chocolate crunchies on top, and a beautiful dense olive oil cake with citrus notes.
Attentive service and a dessert was comped.
The Food and drink selections were amazing!! Was greeted by a really nice server who was knowledgeable and provided recommendations. I had the Short Rib dish with a Mascarpone polenta side. The dish was prepared flawlessly , the meat was tender and juicy, the polenta was soft and creamy and cooked to perfection. Although a bit load, I had a pleasant dining experience.
This was my first time at North, and from the moment we walked in, Chris Gaugan made our evening really special. We were celebrating my mom's 93rd b-day, and everybody was so kind. And Chris navigated me through my first time using Uber-he really made our evening. We each had pasta, and would get it again! A really pretty place, it gets loud, but we had a great time.
The restaurant and food were excellent, but there were some problems with the service. The waitress was pouring water and a sizeable amount went on one of the guest's dress and table area. No apology was made. The waitress was aware of this and merely just walked away from the table.
I have eaten at the Kierland location before and it is lovely. The Arcadia location was very busy the night we were there. We had a reservation, but was asked to wait. We asked for a few items like ice with our water and never received it. We asked for a half order and were not obliged and were not offered any alternatives. Our appetizer was cold. It just seemed like the staff was stretched too thin. Our main dishes tasted very good. They were hot and delicious. We will give this location another try. It could have been an off night.
Food and ambiance we're very good as usual. Unfortunately, even though we had reservations we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our table. This caused us to have to rush through dinner to get to another engagement. Service was also compromised perhaps because the restaurant was so crowded.
the food as usual was great. very busy place so I would highly recommend making a reservation through Open Table. The service was just so-so. Our waitress seemed rushed and not at all interested. The last time we dined here we had a young man wait on us and his service was not great. I don't find this to be the case at any other Sam Fox establishment so am puzzled as to what is going on here.
We loved our dinner at North. Went because we had family in town AND were celebrating a birthday. The appetizers were so good and the main courses were so amazing. While I cannot remember our waiters name, he was wonderful and would absolutely go back for any of the above reasons.
