I have become less and less enamored with Fox in the last couple of years. The wine lists at all of the restaurants are no longer enjoyable - the wines just are not very good and they are prices at about 4 times retail which is way too high for this type of restaurant. The food at North is ok, not great. The atmosphere is also just ok and way to cold inside and way to loud outside. Pretty big disappointment. There are other restaurants that now provide better value.
Had another great dinner here. Not only is the food excellent but so is the service. Tonight our server was exceptional and she went above and beyond. Moriah took great care of us tonight and I would request her next time I eat here, which will be soon.
Love this place I tell all my friends about it.
The food is awesome,
This was my first time going to any North Italia restaurants- I experience great service and food. Would recommend!
We have a good work team meeting while lunching and enjoyed the food.
Food and wine was great as was the ambiance. I feel like the food kind of took a while and something came out wrong and the server walked away while we were bringing it up to the person that brought it out instead of addressing it so that was kind of weird but other than that we had a great time.
Although I gave everything 3 starts I was disappointed that I couldn’t give it 4 or 5. The food just wasn’t as good as the last time we were there. I do love that they give you the option to substitute veggie noodles for the pasta.
FANTASTIC SERVICE, FOOD, ATMOSPHERE...LOVE THIS PLACE!
Amazing food and service ! I made a reservation and was sat promptly! Very nice wait staff
We came during Restaurant Week and had a fabulous three course meal for $33. Always a favorite neighborhood joint!
The food is always great here and service is excellent. Great neighborhood place I like to eat at. The White Truffle Garlic Bread is a great starter and Chicken Parmesan for dinner is excellent. Check this place out.
Amazing happy hour and food
We had a $100 + $20 gift card to use. The service was just average and it was very noisy on an early Sunday evening. I ordered the BOLOGNESE (HOUSE SPECIALTY). My friend ordered the STROZZAPRETI. Food was just mediocre. The BOMBOLINI dessert was good. My friend said her Sangria was also good.
VERY overrated. This was not real Italian at all. Chicken parm was cooked with truffle oil, gross. Didn’t say that on the menu. Pasta was cold and served in some white goo that hardly resembled Alfredo. Server had too many tables and was rarely seen. Typical terrible service seen in Phoenix
Very good food, I especially enjoyed the home-made pasta
I would definitely recommend this restaurant - I could eat the cauliflower EVERY day. As older people, though, it was so noisy since nothing absorbs the sound it was difficult to carry on a conversation. I suppose the younger people like that LOL Thank you for the wonderful food and incredibly kind staff that served us
The food was so salty it was nearly inedible. The wine was good and our server was professional and personable.
Food was excellent! Asked the valet what to order and they gave us great recommendations.
Simply Outstanding All Around!!!
Excelente !!! Pasta pesto, la mejor.
Lack of dishes for those with allergens or intolerances. Food looked good but unfortunately couldn’t order.
Food is always tasted and delicious. This was the first time I had lunch at North and I liked it.
The apps were delicious but the entrees were pretty lacking in flavor; especially for the price. Service was outstanding and the location is beautiful.
It was extremely busy and so loud we could barely hear each other. My salmon was delicious but my husband’s pizza was very doughy and sweet. I prefer the Scottsdale location and think that this place is a bit overrated because some things are very good and others are very so-so.
Very good meal on Labor Day and nice value with Fox coupon. Tortellini was excellent as was the dessert. Would have given 5 stars except for noise level. Hard to carry a normal conversation.
Always the best. Consistently fantastic food. Our favorite.
Our overall dining experience was excellent!!
Great customer service by the front of house/host/manager!
I took my boyfriend here as a thank you dinner for helping me move to a new apartment. Although we were 30 minutes early for our reservation, they had a table available for us when we got there, so there was minimal waiting. The restaurant was crowded; turns out on Sundays the bottles of wine are half priced, which may have contributed to the crowds, and their happy hour food menus are valid all day. It worked out great for us! We got a delicious bottle of red, a board of prosciutto bruschetta (mmmm), and each ordered an entree and a dessert. Notably, my boyfriend also ordered a negroni, which isn't on the menu, but they made it and he said it was a good one. He got the bolognese for his meal, I got the strozzapreti, which I have never seen on a menu before. Both delectable. I've been here before and ordered the short ribs entree, which is also amazing. I don't think you can go wrong on this menu, unless you are allergic to gluten. For dessert he got the tiramisù and I had the hazelnut chocolate cake. I spent a lot that night, but considering what we got for it, I consider it a bargain. I will definitely come back.
As soon as my wife and I walked through the door, we were greeted in a friendly manner. The venue was unique and more open than expected. Not as much of an intimate place as there were more families with little kids than expected. The food was delicious and priced well and I like how they offer 8 oz pours for wine. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and took his recommendation on the wine and dessert, which were both amazing. Definitely will be going back.
Food was excellent but tables are too close together and the noise level made it hard to have a conversation.
Great food and service. As always
Food came up cold have to go back and very spicy the server didn’t mention that to us!?!
Can get a little noisy with that high ceiling and metal / concrete all around. We still love going here as we get the food we want. Good to get there early as it isn't as loud.
We went with three who are either Italian or lived there and paid $220 with one bottle of wine, one beer and two desert wines. We thought it was ok, but not really good and certainly far short of the level of a good Italian (say Franco's Italian Caffe on Scottsdale Road). One reason is that the chef seems to want to improve Italian classics, thereby screwing them up. For example, there is no need for a sweat sauce on fried calamari because it overpowers the fish taste. Two more complaints: I don't like servers who are intrusive and pretend to be your friend; it's obnoxious that the entire parking area is valet (I don't like to give them my car because it's a stick and most youngsters working for valets have no clue how to drive it without ruining it).
Will only return on happy hour as their regular pricing is steep for what you get. The service was decent, but it's always so loud there that you can't hear each other talk at the same table. We much prefer Sauce Pizza & Wine over North Italia.
Great spot for a birthday celebration! Highly recommend. Great service and friendly environment.
Very loud while dinning here. They seat big group parties in the center of the restaurant so the sound carries in all directions! The food is great but forget about having a conversation in here.
