Sushi
Watching the sushi chef lightly create, fold and roll each signature Sushi dish is a fascinating show. It is as if they are between two realities. They effortlessly combine, spread and slice the ingredients into a presentation with the same understanding and mental focus an artist has while drawing, painting or sculpting.

The Sushi artists at NORI are both transfixed and upbeat in their purpose, while handing off creation after creation with the knowledge that the appreciation of each presentation is temporary. They must know the vast majority of their work will never receive accolades, show up on a magazine's cover, or be appreciation by a dedicated mass media audience. Still, their art creates an effect, and a physical connection between desire, hunger and appreciation in the minds of those who will consume it. These sushi chefs are it seems, dedicated artists who accept their best presentation, masterpiece and most delicious dish, to which they sign with a Signature Sauce.

Came here for a girls night and it was fabulous! The place was pretty empty since we came close to closing and it was about 5 degrees out. We had a little bit of everything. The spicy miso soup and garden salad were yummy. The udon noodles and chicken teriyaki plate were very fresh and a great portion, just enough for a little bit of leftovers! We had the dragon roll, California maki, and a crab roll (sorry not good with sushi names) but it was all good and you could tell was fresh. Our waitress was so kind and patient with our large group. Can’t wait to come back

Mondays are half off their signature sushi, so a good value and the fish is fresh. Tends to be busy so make a reservation :).

The food was very delicious and the service was fast! We had a nice roommate dinner there and the price was half off on monday night.
Would recommend making a reservation before arriving there since it was pretty busy!

I went on a Friday and because the restaurant is so small, the couple of large parties that were there made the restaurant seem very loud. The sushi was fine, but didn’t think it was worth the $100 we spent (appetizer, seaweed salad, two roles, plus sashimi and nigiri).

I always have a great time at Nori. The staff are wonderful and attentive, and the sushi is delicious. I’ve been coming to Nori for more than 5 years now because it’s my favorite sushi spot! They have good quality fish (I love the salmon and salmon toro!) and fantastic service. My usual order is salmon skin maki, sake maki, ninja maki, and some salmon, salmon toro, or blue fin tuna sashimi. I also drain their stock of hot green tea every time I come here. The lunch bentos are also yummy and a great value.

We came this time to celebrate my younger cousin’s birthday. She loved all the things she tried and we had a good time!

sat down and for 20 mins not one person came over and asked for a drink order or food order. extremely disappointing because i was gonna spend easily over 100 on dinner. walked out after 20 mins of not being served. save your money there are a million other sushi places with better service in chicagoland

Our server made our date night so special! He made us feel at home with his positivity and did a great job guiding us through the menu. And the discounted price is a huge plus for a weekday date!

Food is always very good. Thought the salmon eggs (Ikura) May have been frozen 😔. Service can be better. Bit of an attitude

Decent maki, great noodles, and LOVE that it's BYOB with no cork fee. I'll definitely go again.

I had been craving sushi for a while and Nori did it for me. The tuna tar tar appetizer was SO good and fresh. The specialty rolls were amazing, served cold and we weren't rushed - which some times happens at BYOB places. It was a little bit on the expensive side, but it evens out since you don't need to buy your drinks there. I will definitely go back.

This was my fourth visit and for the first time I was rather disappointed. Way too much rice in the maki, pieces cut way too large and then without disclosure, they added a 20% tip to the bill and there were only two of us dining. Maybe this gem is getting too popular so quality is losing importance.

I went here on a Wednesday night with a reservation for 4 people. I do recommend making a reservation. It was quite crowded, I guess due to how small it is. We were seated immediately. The server came & asked us what we would like to drink & have for appitizers. It is BYOB & there is a 7 eleven a few doors down where we bought 2 bottles of wine. We did end up ordering the edamame which was not that great, I've had better. I started off with 2 rolls which were the Rainbow roll & Ebi tempura roll.. which were both great!! The only problem was the service was quite slow! It took like 35 minutes to get our orders & there wern't that many people that were in there before us. The Spicy Tuna was also good. I definitely would go back.

This was my first time dining at Nori Sushi. I am not a big Sushi lover ... however, It was a friends birthday and they LOVE sushi. I must say for me not to be a huge sushi lover, This place may have opened my palate to having more sushi ;-) The only thing that wasn't that great they don't have a liquor license so it is BYOB. So be sure to try this Sushi

I love Nori Sushi! We had a great server who was very helpful and gave us her ideas of which things on the menu were really good, and she was right! I like to be able to try a lot of things so having 8 pieces per roll seemed like a little too much but the prices were very reasonable for all that sushi! And you can't beat BYOB with no cork fee :) It was our first time at Nori Sushi and we will definitely be going back.
