We went to Norfolk Seafood Company to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were seated upon arrival which was great. Unfortunately I almost left as it took about 20 minutes for the waiter to come over to get our drink order. I'm glad we decided to stick it out. The food was amazing. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. It had large pieces of lobster and the cheese sauce was flavorful and creamy. My husband had the Chicken Andouille Pasta. It has a lot of flavor to it. We both loved the little corn bread muffins that were served as well. Overall a great experience and we will be back to explore some of their other food offerings.

Amazing food !! Sooo yummy !! And the ambiance was perfect for our occasion. I felt like i was in my living room being by the fire pace I didn’t want to leave ! I loved every minute of it!

Booked our reservation for 1945 hours Saturday night at 1630 hours. Arrived at the venue at 1944, were seated by 1946, waitress was at our table be 1950 and we placed our order at 1955. Got an update from our server at 2020 that because of a large party (12 folks who had made a reservation) the kitchen was slammed and our dinner would be the first one out after the party was served. At 2035 we were offered salad or an appetizer - which we declined since we wanted to ensure room for our main course. At 2045 our server informed us that the manager would be delivering our food (she was aware we were not pleased with the wait) and at 2100 our meal arrived. We expressed our disappointment at the long wait and the manager said she was sorry - but nothing she could do. :( She would be happy to offer us a free desert. Again we expressed our disappointment - but didn't create a scene.

Half way through our meal (which we were enjoying! The food was great!) our server informed us that the manager was very sorry it took so long and that in addition to a desert she was going to comp the entire dinner! Needless to say we were surprised and thought the gesture was very generous.

We declined the desert - too full from dinner - and again thanked our server for her excellent service.

This was our second visit, the first was almost a year ago, and based on the food, service, and generous management, we'll certainly visit again when we're in Norfolk!

Everything was great but the noise level was extremely loud. The service and food was excellent.

We’ve been there a number of times. This time no corn bread was offered even though others got it. The chowder was cold and the main dish was also cold. Was disappointed with this visit

The service was amazing! Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. The value for the meal was awesome! The ambience was very lovely especially upstairs where we sat. I definitely recommend going there. This was a wonderful place for my boyfriend’s birthday celebration.

Overall had a great time. The absinthe table side service was outstanding and it was our first time having it. All in all I’m sad that I have lived in Norfolk for 4 years and now found this place.

Good food and service. The ettoufe was well prepared and cocktails were spot on. The atmosphere was lacking.

Waitress disappeared wasn’t attentive beer served in a wine glass that was less than 12 ounces had to asked another waitress to bring us bread

Excellent food and great ambiance

We never got our food after waiting over an hour. They said they only had one cook working... on a Saturday and the people next to us at the bar got three apps in the time we waited. We asked three times nicely. Last time we walked out and got pizza around the corner. Will never go back (and we’ve been a few times before).

Terrible food except for the salad which was good. Fried oysters and shrimp were NOT good to eat and was very disappointing. Wine was very good and service was nice. We were alone in the restaurant. Would NOT return

Service was Wonderful. Our Server Noah was Pleasant he showed concern about our dining experience and didn’t come to the table more than necessary; glasses stayed full and food was on time. The food was Great because Noah was knowledgeable and specific. Food was Well Portioned and Delicious. Definitely making this one of our regular date night locations.

The waitress was amazing! However the wait time for our food was not. We ordered food at 6:15. At 7:20 we received our entrees . My wife and I have eaten here more than 5 or 6 times. The wait time has never been so bad for food. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen, but the waitress seemed to be over apologetic for it. We will be back, hopefully with less wait time.

Everything about our dining experience here was fantastic!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The Christmas decorations and blazing fireplace brought beauty and cosy warmth on a chilly December evening. Our server was cordial and attentive to every detail, and the food, as usual, was delicious and arranged very appealingly. We didn't need valet parking that evening but it was available and sometimes comes in very handy. My glass of house wine, discounted for happy hour, was quite tasty, and, all in all, it was a good experience.

Restaurant wasnt very busy but we were put close to the bar that had a few noisy people. The dinner menus were paper and stained in places. The drink menu was extensive. Appetizers were tasty. The Chicken New Orleans was incredibly salty but the seafood trio was delicious with the lemon garlic butter. We will consider this spot again, but we arent in a hurry.

We dined at the Norfolk Seafood Co prior to a theater performance on a Wednesday evening. We couldn't have been more pleased with the ambiance and the service. We were not rushed at all and the drinks, dinner and dessert blended beautifully into our evening. 2 members of our party had the deliocious jumbalaya which wee couldhave easily split because the portion was so large! Another had the pasta crab special (AMAZING!) and the 4th had a generous portion of rockfish.

Great food, Great service! Only complaints are my drink I got cost $14 and I don't believe is had a drop of alcohol in it parking is very limited and valet is a expensive but outside of that everything else was outstanding!

Service was quick, attentive, and able to offer good recommendations. Crab cake and bread pudding were delicious, wine selection was good.

Everytime we come to Norfolk we come here, love it!

Second time dining here before a show - was just as good this time as the first time. They give a discount if you’re attending a show or event - nice bonus.

Great food and service

The waitress was really nice and accommodating. We sat in the upstairs dining room with was empty. But they sat us (2 people) at this L-shaped seating table which was a little awkward when trying communicate.
The dish was OK, my shrimp were overcooked and I felt like I was chewing on a rubber ball. I asked to make the dish spicy, but it was just salty.

1st time we had a good experience. 2nd time we went, we had horrible service. Waitress initially didn’t go over the specials. She told us in a quick manner “it’s right there on the pamphlet”. We asked for her to explain in more detail. She finally explained the special, so we decided to order it. What she told us and what we got was totally different. The part that upset us was she didn’t care we didn’t get what we expected. She just said “Ok”. Really bad attitude. Not sure why the bad service. Like I said before, the 1st time we went we had great service. 2nd time, just a waste of money.

excellent service. very good food. Snapper was great. Scallop appetizer was nice. The only issue we had was the seating was a little awkward. The table we had was a L shaped cushion seating. We did move to a more comfortable table.

The cocktail was a great opening, while the main dish of lobster tail, scallops and shrimps in garlic butter was fresh and exquisitely prepared. We skipped the appetizers, each expecting a large main dish. My wife's dish was comparably well executed. The decor and atmosphere were inviting and hushed. We will go there again.

The valet parking should have change on hand. I don't want to have to go back into the restaurant for change, while my car clogs up traffic, just because his Highness feels entitled to a $4 tip from a $6 valet fee.

Wanted somewhere nice to eat that was not located within one of the hotels at the waterside district. This restaurant came with great reviews and we were excited for a nice night out. However it took two hours to get our meal to the table with only three other tables filled in the entire restaurant. They did offer a complementary cocktail however the only explanation given was that the kitchen was behind. I am not sure how you could be behind for a 630 dinner reservation with only three other tables seated
