Excellent food but terrible experience with hostess Emily at time of seating. Very rude and not customer service oriented. Will not return most likely.
Good service and good food
Good downtown worker/shopper lunch location. Can be rather noisy, hard to hear. Nice booth sizes, food is good and service is good. You can get in and out in under an hour to get back to work.
Great service. French dip is always my favorite.
food was super good. I went for lunch, and then i came back for Happy Hour!
Always Fantastic service and food ! Phil is the best !
Giving the place a break because it was during holiday shopping, but the food was sub-standard. My daughter had a hamburger that she barely touched. Said the texture was inappea
It just wasn’t worth it. Our waiter never came back to check on us. My daughters food was cold. It was disappointed considering we spent $80 on three meals and one was a kids meal. We were heading to the paramount for Lion King and we were almost late because our server was so slow or overwhelmed, one of the two. Disappointed to say the least.
I've been going to this restaurant for years and have always had a great lunch with wonderful service!
Down rated ambience due to tables so close together and uncomfortable chairs.
When I worked downtown I used to eat at the Grill at least a couple times a week. I've been retired for three years and came back for the first time in a while to have lunch with my wife and her father.
The portions are smaller, the prices are higher and the menu has changed and not necessarily for the better. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was dry and over cooked. My father in law had the salmon salad and the piece of salmon was so small it was barely noticeable on top of the greens.
It's still an OK place but it's not the same. Good for lunch. Not great.
Food was great but we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation and then waited for our food for over 45 minutes.
Very helpful servers! We were 1/2 hour late for our reservation and didn't have long to eat before going to a show. They were able to serve us very efficiently and guide our choices to things that could be ready quickly. Quick but not rushed, perfect.
Great! Fun atmosphere for the holidays!
Great for the basics: Salad, Soups, Sandwiches. VERY delighted that they refill an arnold palmer. Their waitstaff is always good.
Dinner before a show.
Waiter Tracy was abrupt and non caring. Snapped back when we asked questions about menu items. Very slow it was obvious he was not engaged with our table
Delicious food. I had the spinach salad with grilled salmon and my wife had the salad with shrimp and lime. Her cocktail was also excellent. Great service, too. Food arrived very quickly.
While I have several times ordered the fish and chips, this time the side of coleslaw had so much horseradish sauce as to be seriously overpowering.
I enjoy that I can order 1/2 portions on some items so I come more ofter,
The seating lady was very nice. We had a good laugh with her. Food was soooo tasty.
Phil is a superstar Server and food is always excellent !
The grill is underrated. We love eating here. The food is creative and delicious. And the "figgy" cocktail was wonderful and innovative. It is our go to place.
Great service and food was excellent. It was quiet enough to talk. Thanks for everything.
Risotto was to die for! Great experience.
For a flagship location, it was a disappointment. Average, with a cafeteria feel to it. Good service, but overall something was missing.
Service very nice, had salmon, way over cooked. Main course came right after salad ,felt really rushed
Nordstrom Grill never disappoints. The service was great and the food was simple and delicious. They use quality ingredients and don't overcomplicate things in the preparation. Our waitress was very thoughtful and made sure we had everything we wanted at all times.
Natalie your hostess is so accommodating & lovely!
I go there on a regular basis and find the food to be consistently good and although the place gets very hectic (and noisy) a lunch the service is generally good.
rsvp was at 1pm and it wasn't busy, less than half of the restaurant was full but the food took a very long time to get done. Server took down the wrong order for one of the 3 orders so that took a lot longer. My fish riosotto was very salty, the risotto was.
The food was good. Our server could gave been friendlier.
Their menu is consistently goodbut the place gets very busy and can be noisy
Very good except that the grilled salmon was over cooked.
Do NOT eat here!!! There are so many very very good restaurants within walking distance of Nordstrom Downtown, unless it’s difficult for you to physically get to another restaurant, you’re just being lazy. I hadn’t eaten here in a long time, the restaurant upstairs didn’t have what I wanted, I was low blood sugar, I had a gift card, so I thought I’d try it again. It’s been years & I recall none of my experiences with this restaurant have been great. I ordered the soup of the day, turkey chili. Whoever heard of a chili being dairy based? I don’t consider a dairy based soup to be chili & if that’s the case, it should have been stated up front. So I sent it back & caved in to ordering the not-worth-the-price steak. I asked for med-well. It took so long, you’d think they had to go out to the butcher’s to buy the steak. When it came it was so overdone, welldone, rather than med-well. There was about two tablespoons of arugula, it said it came with arugula, but really it was just for color on the plate. The food itself was so salty as to make a person bloated for 2 days, or raise their blood pressure to a dangerous (heart-attack or stroke) level. I ate it because I’d waited so long for my food my hands were shaking. Of course they wouldn’t comp the meal because I ate it all, but did give me a salad after the meal to compensate for the terrible food. However, the salad was no more than a cup of mixed greens with some cherry tomatoes thrown on top. How can a restaurant charge $6.50 for that little amount of food with a straight face? Anyway, I knew I shouldn’t eat there, but I wanted my open table points. I admit, I was lazy going there knowing the food has always been sub-par. It hasn’t changed. The Nordstrom store got a makeover, The Nordstrom restaurants, The (expensive) Grill especially, need makeovers too. The food hasn’t changed in years. It’s just laziness on their part. Trust me, go to one of the great restaurants in the area, your tastebuds will thank you.
Almost inedible food. Server disappeared for a good 20 minutes.
Have eaten at Nordstrom Grill many times. Food and service are both quite good.
Was visiting Seattle, wanted to eat at the Nodstrom odstrom grill. Great lunch.
Actually saw Tey Diggs having lunch while we were there.
The Grill is so consistent and I can always count on friendly staff. My "go to" selections are the Vegetable salad or Warm Spinach with Salmon.
Made reservations for a pre-theater dinner for two at 5:30 on a weeknight. I arrived exactly on time, but even though the restaurant was almost empty, no one approached to take me to my table until several minutes passed. After that, no one ever offered a glass of water and the food took what seemed like an unreasonably long time to arrive. Even after our food finally arrived, no one offered water, even though I saw a server walk by with a tray of full water glasses for another table on the other side of the restaurant. Again, the restaurant was sparsely populated; it's not like there was a huge dinner rush. Why did I not simply ask for water? I actually wanted to see if anyone would take notice. They never did. To recap: It took several minutes before someone noticed I was waiting for my table in an almost empty restaurant, and at no time did anyone offer water, even though I saw other diners with water. Did we look like street people? Is that why service was so negligent? Hardly! We were dressed for the theater -- my husband in suit and tie and me in a cocktail dress. No excuse, Nordstrom. Badly done indeed. I will NOT be recommending you to anyone
