I have been a fan of the Nordstrom Grill for 25+ years. This last visit, however, was a real disappointment. This time around the burger was half the size I am used to -- little more than a slider, really, with the bun dwarfing the patty. The side salad was equally tiny. Drenched in dressing, the lettuce was room temperature, which made me wonder what is going on in the kitchen. The service was also meh; our waiter could not get us out of there fast enough -- we sat down at 6:15pm and were told at 7pm that it was last call and the kitchen would be closing soon. Not a problem for us as we were nearly done eating. But they close at 8pm, so not sure what the rush was about. We were the only patrons there. When we left at 7:30pm my son caught our waiter throw a few fist bumps in the air. Apparently he was jubilant at the thought of getting out of work early.
Not sure if any of this is COVID-related, but I'll pass on the Nordstrom Grill until further notice.
Seems the batter used for the shrimp Louie/fish n chips has changed. Definitely not as good as previous.
The food and service was great!
This is my go-to restaurant while shopping downtown. My daughter and I were happy to return to this favorite spot and were relieved to see generous space between tables. We began with a glass of rose’ followed by seafood dishes. My wild caught blackened salmon Caesar salad was perfectly seasoned. The fish portion was generous, flavorful and tender. Service was attentive and pleasant. Thank you, Nordstrom, for maintaining this downtown gem.
Crab spaghetti was delicious!
In these Covid times, it’s great to have a mini return to normalcy with an enjoyable and tasty lunch at the Nordstrom Grill.
Our food was delicious and fresh. Our service was excellent and fast. We love the Nordstrom Grill.!
Food was great, service was great, good job on social distancing ad other Covid-related protocols.
The crab bisque is out of this world and they split a bowl for us.Perfect for seniors. They also split the entré. Lovely service.Wish we could eat there every day! Now with Covid seating spaced perfectly to make you feel safe.
OUR LUNCH WAS DELICIOUS AND OUR SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING!
First the waitress rushed our ordering of food and then she brought 2 of the 4 wrong dishes to our table. The food was barely warm and she came back to check on us once. I will never go back to that location. Seeing that it's in the heart of Seattle, I expected way better service and food. Complete let down!
They had great food. The service was good. I had a hard time with tables being so close together. I felt I would bump the table next to me just getting out. It felt uncomfortable.
I've been to the Nordstrom Grill in Seattle many times, always have found it exceptional. This was the first time, however, when I went during the Noon hour, and was surprised at how loud the place could be. Conversation was a little difficult. I'll undoubtedly return, but probably a little later in the afternoon.
Lunch: Great steak, very disappointing “Louis”, best crab bisque ever, good wine, superb “Chocolate Indulgence” dessert.
The steak was outstanding with its butter topping. The fingerling potatoes, however, were over sauced and hard. The “Louis” was a good dollop of crab over dressed greens, topped with four wedges of hard tomato and four battered & fried shrimp—not a Louis. I should have just had the crab bisque, which was, as always, wonderful.
A bit noisier lunch crowd but brisk, friendly service. Love the room, prefer a booth to a table.
Great food, great atmosphere and good prices. Food was fresh and tasty. Delivery was timely and with great service.
Best French dip in town and great Nordstrom service!
Main server was very upbeat. She made good recommendations for main course and dessert.
Good food choices. Food was very fresh with pleasing presentation. Good wines by the glass choice. Very noisy and busy but fun. Server was attentive. We had a reservation and the table was ready for us. My halibut was very fresh and my cousin's salad was also. We will be back!
this is one of my favorite places to relax, have a good meal and be taken care of. I look forward to my next visit.
Miss the chicken paillard on menu.
All of us were happy with our meals. We liked that there was enough variety for one of us to get a steak plus, one to get a dinner salad, and one to get soup and a veggie.
Nice Restaurant. Food and service was great. Location close to our hotel.
We always like our lunches at Nordstrom Grill. Sylvia, our regular server, is a real gem.
We experienced having a delicious lunch at the Nordstrom Grill. We were seated promptly, had excellent service and great food. We look forward to lunch there every year when we come to Seattle for a Christmas weekend.
The Grill is one of our favorite places to dine for lunch. It is also our "go to" place to take a friend for a "pay-back" lunch. We especially like the ambiance, the club-like decor, and the numerous choices on the menu. Most of all, the food is never disappointing but even surprisingly subtly unique in flavor, and the service is prompt and personally pleasing.
Great quick bite before a show
A good choice for lunch in downtown Seattle. The food and the service are always excellent.
Delicious food and an enjoyable overall experience.
Hi-hum. My reuben was flavorful but the bread soggy in the middle. And the fries were lukewarm and limp. Our server was very nice. M niece said the chicken tenders were good. I guess I expected better from some reviews I’d read.
Great service and food
I have had the same server several times while eating at the Grill and she is always in a hurry to get us to place an order and get out the door.
Always a fine experience. Good solid food, great service, fast yet not rushed.
Love this place. It’s elegant without being stuffy, food is great and next time I’m getting the oysters!
Awesome service. My son had halibut at a local restaurant that cost much more, and said the Nordstrom’s Grill offering was much better. I had one of the best steaks ever. Will visit again.
A great getaway located down the escalator. Service was fast and efficient. The crab bisque is a DEFINITE go to. The prime rib dip was awesome.
Great place with good food as nice alternative to the busy places for lunch in the downtown area.
Everything was perfect as usual! Hubby ordered the flatiron steak for the first time & it was soooo good! Cooked perfectly & served with lots of veggies,
Food was good but nothing special. Service was lacking as our server forgot our friend’s coffee, then comped it but my friend still ended up paying as the server just automatically split the bill in half versus having me pay for my daughter and I. It’s an easy place to go to as it’s near everything and isn’t usually busy. If wanting a decent meal without a wait in downtown Seattle this is your place.
The Arctic Char was tremendous with sautéed asparagus & tomatoes. The cilantro lime shrimp salad was delicious too.
Awesome place and food is fantastic and Phil is amazing !
