Enjoy the menu and all it had to offer. Service from waiter and bartender was excellent as well.
Went for Easter Sunday Lamb and it was so delicious. Had the Lamb stew. Loved it.
Only thing is I wish they would bring back the Afghan bread.
Great place to enjoy great food and great service. I look forward to going again
Wonderful food, drinks and service. Can’t wait to go back.
Service is attentive, food is fantastic. There was a hidden heat that sneaks up on you in several of the small plates. Everything is delicious. One of our favorite restaurants.
Good appetizers and superb entrees. Uncrowded, quiet, nice experience.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! I have been to AFG for work and had the honor of sampling Afghan cuisine first hand and Nora is a fresh and accurate representation of that. All courses of the meal were well prepared and developed. This place warrants many more visits.
We had a lovely table in the window which was perfect for Greenville Ave. people/pooch watching! My sister and I had the Qabili Palao a specialty of the House...
Seasoned lamb served with basmati saffron rice and covered in sweet raisins and carrots. Others ordered kabobs and beef dumplings...all were tasty and well prepared...small nice wine list...certainly a winning dining experience!
My first visit was on a Friday during lent and there were plenty of options to choose from. All were delicious.
Great food and had a fun night with our friends. Beautiful restaurant! Will definitely be back.
One of our favorites in Dallas ! The menu covers all tastes and is fabulous o
From the minute we walked in the door to the last crumb of dessert, Nora was 5-Stars all the way.
I had the pleasure of going to Nora on a Saturday evening with 3 other people. The decor was tasteful and the tables comfortable and nicely appointed. We were warmly greeted as we arrived and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy.
They have good wine choices, and the dolma were the best I’ve probably ever had. The hummus was delicious and the pita soft and warm. Our waiter Craig honored our request for an easy paced dinner and his wine recommendations were spot on. My partner had the lamb shank and I had the Kadu with the added lamb. Both were drool worthy.
For dessert were had the baklava and a recommended chocolate mousse. Excellent!
I can’t wait for the weather to get nicer so I can go to the roof!
Great service, great restaurant, great food
We went with our closes friends for my husbands birthday. The food was fantastic and the staff was awesome. We had some friends with us who do not branch out with their food much and they LOVED it. We are all looking forward to our next visit.
Nice sit down restaurant. Delicious and flavorful authentic Afghan food experience. Would be perfect for date night as well.
Nora has great ambiance, tasty cocktails and fabulous food! This is a gem on lower Greenville.
Great restaurant, absolutely loved the food, service was a little slow but it didn’t really bother us. I’ll definitely go back when we are in the area!
Great service, plentiful parking space in the back & great selection of food. My only comment from my date was her food came out cold (lamb).
An excellent dining experience with pleasantly surprisingly authentic, high-quality Afghan cuisine. Everything from the service to the food was exceptional.
We finally ventured out to Nora this past weekend. The place was humming. The Afghan food is authentic and flavorful. The Qabali pulao is to die for and my favorite. The Mantoo appetizer was very tasty and very nicely presented. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance and it was worth the drive from North Dallas.
The food was flavorful and delicious! I had never eaten Afghan cuisine before but plan on indulging my tastebuds again soon. Service was excellent as well!
We had a great meal and would definitely go back again. Great food
We had a great experience when we went there just before Christmas, so we wanted to go back and invited friends to join us this time. The food was definitely not as good. My entree was cold and my guest's entree was particularly dry, and those were just the complaints I knew about. We were also bothered by the loud bass pounding from the rooftop bar, which we had been warned about but didn't experience on our first visit.
I can am always depend up on Nora to provide consistently good food. Each dish has its own unique flavor, and the service is excellent. The ambience is upscale casual, and the noise level is such that conversations can actually be had at the table.
My wife and I keep coming back on a regular basis. We have brought different sets of friends along from time to time, and they too have put Nora on their list of restaurants to frequent.
The food was good and the waiter was awesome, I plan on trying their brunch.
This is a lovely restaurant with an amazingly unique food and wine menu and great service. It has always been a wonderful dining experience and great for the price. However they’ve begun playing loud music on the rooftop bar which doesn’t match their restaurant vibe or what their brand seems to be. We were very disappointed in the rooftop bar experience this past week, before had been lovely relaxing and a nicer experience than other area rooftop bars. I hope they lower rooftop music volume.
We had a fabulous dining experience😀😊The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned, my tastebuds enjoyed every bite. The service was impeccable, our server Jenna took excellent care of us and the ambiance was wonderful. The owner Matt takes great pride in his beautiful restaurant. We can’t wait to go back!!
Food was well prepared and very flavorable. Service good but wait staff seemed to not know menu. Needed more training.
I love Afghan food and was pleasantly surprised to find a very good Afghan restaurant in Dallas (I'm a recent transplant). Great food, great service, and the fig sidecar was delightful.
I overheard a stranger in a cigar shop earlier in the day speaking highly of this restaurant. Since we already had plans for date night at Nick & Sams, but were too late to make reservations, we decided to give Nora a chance. Lower Greenville has changed so much over the years, and there are many new options, and some fantastic old ones, so it's an easy option when considering a night out. Nora's ambience is immediately inviting from the patio through the front door. The host (maybe owner) was kind and welcoming. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable which, considering this was our first experience with Afghan food, was truly appreciated. The portions were large and delicious. Similar to Indian cuisine but unique, the combination of spices explodes in flavor without being uncomfortably spicy-hot. We look forward to bringing our friends back to enjoy the experience. We dined indoors, but the sidewalk patio along Greenville Ave. and rooftop lounge are nice options as well.
The food was amazing. We had Kadu and meatballs for our appetizers, and then couldn’t decide on dinner so the waiter suggested the chef could make us a sample platter. We did that and loved the lamb, beef and chicken as well as the sauces, sides and lovely presentation. Simply delicious! I’ve already made another reservation for an upcoming business dinner.
So romantic and the rooftop was beautiful!
As always, we found our experience at Nora to be outstanding. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is very upscale without being pretentious.
Great rooftop patio. Not a fan of the plastic cups for cocktails. Food was delicious. A little overpriced.
Nora's is one of our favorite restaurants which is why we chose to celebrate our 37th Wedding Anniversary here. The food was wonderful as always. The flavors are so delicious and unique. We enjoyed two different specialty cocktails which were really nicely done. We know their desserts are great but we had to save that for another visit which will be soon. The owners of this restaurant really care about their product from the food to the service and ambiance. It shows. Well worth checking out Nora's as I don't think you will be disappointed.
I have been to Nora's several times over the past year. Initially the food was fantastic, the service perfect, and the overall experience terrific. However, over the past three months the quality has slipped dramatically. The last two visits people I have dined with have wanted to try salmon and have been told that the restaurant is "out of fish". This last visit the bread was stale and had green mounds of mold growing on it, and the server was continuously forgetting items. The drinks remain a strong point, with automatic and interesting combinations of flavors, however I think that given the general trend of the quality this recent visit may be my last.
Very enjoyable, liked the menu options, healthy, inventive, creative and great tasting. Would recommend to all, including locals and out of town visitors for something different in a great neighborhood setting.
Food was great! Service was great! I recommend the meatballs.
Tried this restaurant during Restaurant Week. It was OK, nothing special. Food was luke warm. Had Lamb Shank for entree and was hardly any meat. What was there tasted fine. The Basmati rice that came with it tasted like Rice A Roni. Service was decent, but a bit slow, considering it was a Tuesday evening and not very crowded. Atmosphere is pretty good. I think there are enough other more interesting restaurants out there that there is no need to waste money on this type of experience.
Really enjoyed dinner at Nora this past weekend! We had been there previously but hadn't been for a while, the DFW restaurant week motivated us to return. Cocktails were great. The Mandoo appetizer (beef dumpling with yogurt sauce, great spices) was tasty. We followed with salads - cucumber and Nora salads, and then on to the delicious lamb shank. Every dish had interesting and unusual (to us) spices as we rarely eat Afgan food...but should do so more often. If you haven't tried it: go.
