Brilliant at every level with a modern yet warm interior design.
Roasted aubergine small plate was 9/10. Courgette and manouri fritters 10/10. Baked cod and beef bavette both 10/10. Crushed Jersey Royals 11/10 - really great. Chocolate dessert was 8/10. Very friendly and fast service.
Our server was very helpful, and was happy to give us advice on how much would be a good amount to order (we were hungry and were going to order far too much, and she suggested it might be better with one or two fewer dishes). She was completely right, we were very satisfied afterwords, and saved the money that we would have spent on unnecessary dishes! This is the type of service that I love, as their aim is for you to have the most enjoyable evening, rather than just spend the most money possible.
Had to wait for our table for quite a while, but the restaurant gave us a complimentary dish. Overall food was very good and ambiance was nice.
Such a lovely place - my second time. Excellent service and the food is exquisite. Really nice for a meal for two since nice and low key though bigger groups still catered for downstairs. And very arty loos! An all round great restaurant
Such a lovely meal. The food was exquisite, stunning combinations of flavours, visually arresting and really delicious. The service was wonderful, caring and knowledgeable. An excellent meal and experience.
As always, fabulous. Amazing food, great service, beautiful restaurant!
Staff was very helpful making sure I knew what was gluten free
The food was really good. Outstanding cheese cake and water melon sorbet!
Delightful and friendly staff.
Trippy bathroom :)
Given all the high praise, i would’ve expected more. If our service had been good, i might have liked everything better. However, the service was completely disorganized and slow. Mistakes happened. We saw better service at adjacent tables. Food was very good, but not life alteringly so.
No need to rush back, though i would be glad to eat many of those dishes again.
We loved our experience! Celebrating two mum’s birthdays. One 80 and one 83. They both loved it! Thanks xx
I have been to NOPI several times ver the last few years but had not been for some time. I was very disappointed this time around as the food was no where near as memorable as my last visit. I will not be going here again
We had a great time, enjoyed the food and drinks choices and the recommendation of the waitress.
Fabulous evening - delicious food - perfect service
Food and service was good. However, the burrata was not up to the usual standard. It was cold, had an odd texture and looked like it had come straight out of the refrigerator
Amazing food as expected - the pre-theatre set menu is a great selection and amount - and the service was exceptional. We had to be done by a specific time, and all the staff kept timings in mind without ever making us feel rushed, and were lovely (and made great dessert recommendations!) throughout. We'll definitely be back.
I love this restaurant but the evening didn’t begin to match the experience the first time I was there. We ordered and my husband when to the loo and before he was back, and before they brought the wine, two dishes were delivered. The next two were out within 5 minutes. Our entire meal was delivered in less than 10 minutes after we had ordered. The serving size was 1/4 the size of the other tables near us for one dish. We were the first ones served a new dish and the server evidently was given feedback on the tiny portion he served and he modified it for new orders but by that point it was too late. For a lovely night out it had the feeling of a casual restaurant where they expect to turn the table within an hour. I would still recommend the restaurant for the food but everything else seemed below par to me.
During our three-day stay in London we ate four meals at NOPI, every one being a stand-out. I have been cooking from the 5 cookbooks I treasure (now 6, since I just bought NOPI) since Ottolenghi was published, and my family's palate and expectations re. what sumptuous, original recipes can do to enhance the pleasure of eating at home have been radically changed. An added pleasure was meeting the warm, professional, extraordinarily helpful staff - every encounter was positive, and people went out of their way to treat us with generosity and grace when minor issues arose (such as having to wait a few extra minutes for a party to leave before we could sit for dinner.) Everyone visiting London should go out of their way to enjoy a breakfast, lunch or dinner at NOPI - the experience will leave an impression of London no dimmer than seeing the Crown Jewels!
Amazing and unique. Plus gluten free friendly!
Had high expectations and Nopi exceeded expectations. Great service and fabulous food.
The experience at Nopi is superb - great decor (fab bathrooms!), buzzing ambience and simply stunning food. The flavours and combinations are awesome, served with friendly efficiency. Magnificent.
I’m a big Ottolenghi fan, but expected more of a wow factor from NOPI. It’s not cheap - the bill was around £150 for two, and the restaurant feels very casual and a bit cramped for that price range. Food was yummy of course, but few dishes were truly memorable. The duck was our least favourite. I The savoury cheesecake was the stand-out item, and the aubergine salad is a must as well. Service was excellent. Overall would be happy to return but I’ll try his other restaurants first.
What a wonderful evening!
Staff at Nopi where very friendly and the food is excellent.
We were really looking forward to Nopi. But service can make or break an experience. Our server rarely came to our table, and when he did he was in an extreme rush. We asked what some of his favorite dishes were and he listed a few dishes faster than we could see them on the menu and walked away. Bummer for our last meal in Europe.
Amazingly beautiful and perfectly prepared food
Loved the food - lived up to all expectations!
Food underwhelming, service spot on,ambiance at the bar was buzzy, overall a nice place to be.
Expected more from the food,I am a Ottolenghi fan.
The food was really good. I was surprised by the flavour of the courgette fritters. The complimentary bread with olive oil was a very nice detail. The service is very attentive. But it is pricey, 2 people, 6 small dishes, 2 desserts and 1 glass of wine for £115.
We don’t get to London regularly but try to visit NOPI whenever we do. Yesterday, the meal was outstanding. Delicious asparagus, melt in the mouth chicken and then desserts!
We wish we had a NOPI in Sydney!
The food was outstanding!! Nice ambiance. Bit noisy. Service was excellent. I only didn’t like that the servants where hurrying us to much. It takes time to enjoy the food.... and the perfect wine!
My food was very good but one of the guests felt that the pork chop was very expensive for what he got. Another great felt that her chicken was dry. The portions of food are small for the price you pay i.e. not good value for money.
After having cooked many dishes from several of Ottolenghi's books it was time for the real thing, and we were not disappointed, even with high expectations. The sound level of the restaurant was quite high, a bit to much I would say. We had very good main courses, but I really enjoyed the canteloup / elderflower dessert. Also a nice range of wine per glass, and not the usual choices, but some very interesting, even daring ones.
some superb tasting starters, the aubergine especially was great. Overall the food was good although not to everyone’s taste at our table. Unfortunately the service was not as friendly or helpful as we would have expected from a place like this, and the prices very steep. Good opportunity to try an Ottolenghi restaurant but I am afraid not for repeating.
This experience was very disappointing. We have been here several times in the past when we travel to London, in fact to all of Ottolenghi's restaurants. We are big fans. Maybe success has spoiled the eating adventure here. Nopi seems now to have turned into just a major loud, family establishment. It''s not any longer special. The menu seems not to have changed much at all over the years. Admittedly, screaming kids at adjoining tables didn't help. I'd suggest one of his other venues, maybe the Spitafields venue remains a better alternative. The staff, as always, was very good.
Absolutely love the food! Thank you. Will definitely come back.
I would recommend the restaurant for the quality of food and service but feel that the acoustics were so appalling that my evening was spoilt. We had to shout at one another above the noise levels. I am not sure that it was good value for money either.
We enjoyed a beautiful birthday celebration at Nopi. It's a favorite spot when we are in London. This visit was as delicious as usual. We had a great server!
We were really looking forward to our meal at Nopi and the restaurant did not disappoint. The service was wonderful from the hostesses in the front to our fantastic waiter Antonio. The food more than met our expectations. Every dish was superb and original. The portions were just right and we left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. This restaurant lives up to our expectations. We would all happily go back.
Fabulous in every way!
