Enjoy exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere at Nook. It's a wonderful spot for enjoying a delicious meal while catching up with old acquaintances over lunch. Nook is located just south of the Prima County Public Library on East Congress Street. It opened in 2015 and has become a trendy eatery that serves up New American cuisine. Owners Nikki and Matt Thompson along with Todd Anderson are fellow Tucsonans who love their community. Local artists have work showcased throughout this contemporary restaurant.
Nook also prides itself on serving up locally sourced food. Try the Godfather Benedict with prosciutto, arugula, poached egg hollandaise and balsamic drizzle for breakfast, or come down during lunch for a green corn tamale pie with cabbage salad. It offers take-out service and is open for breakfast and lunch during the week. This restaurant also serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Great service and the food was amazing :)
Nook is always a great place for brunch.
Our food was delicious - very nice, laid back atmosphere. We'll be back.
What a pleasant surprise. I breakfast joint with creative cuisine! It is a cute little spot, the server was pretty busy but stayed on top of our needs. We had the tamale pie which was full of flavor and the steak with chimichurri and eggs, the meat was cooked perfectly and was tender and the chimi had a kick. They also have some nice baked goods. We will return when we are next in Tucson.
What a great little gem - we sat on the patio for fathers day and it was fantastic - can't wait to get back there again
I had the cinnamon roll pancakes and my companion had biscuits and gravy. Both items exceeded our expectations. Service was very good and prices were you you
Great spot! I was a little hesitant because of the downtown location, but the decor and outdoor patio are fabulous. They offer a paperless menu (online via scanning QR code), and the staff wore masks as is the new norm. Had the avocado toast, with a side of bacon with a coffee and cookie to go.
Staff was friendly and accommodating - would definitely recommend stopping by here for a brunch with friends.
Very creative offerings prepared and served in a very good way. Setting was comfortable . Only issue was the water had a dusty taste to it.
This place was a great find. Cute decor, interesting menu. Really handy to the Fox.
Chicken pot pie and steak with fritter were both awesome. Nice and close to the Fox theater. Great venue for before the show. Service was outstanding. P.S. The Red Ruby Mule was great too.
The dinner was exceptional. However, we were surprised to arrive to a set Valentines menu for $49. We were going to the theater for a concert and had trouble finding a restaurant as all were booked up or had set menus at $60 or more The Nook had a very reasonably priced dinner menu online and so we booked. There was nothing online about a fixed price menu. Apparently, the hostess called all bookings but I did not get a call. They should have had the fixed price menu online a week before the day!!!! The one entree on the menu was normally $15. So prices were definitely put up for Valentine’s Day. All that aside , the food was excellent!!!
Great food, will definitely be back!
This is a quaint restaurant with a unique menu. The service was very nice and very quick and the food was delicious.
The service was great, the food was awesome, the ambiance amazing!
When I let the server know I had a show, they made it so we got our food and we’re able to get to the theater on time.
The edamame was delicious and is only on the dinner menu … so when you get a chance, get it!
There was eight of us. The restaurant was well-decorated and the food was very unique. The menu wasn’t very descriptive of what the food was going to be like. There was unique twist to each meal. The service was OK. Not super friendly. The music was a bit off for the environment but overall I would probably eat there again.
Food was prepared to everyone's liking. Nice and quiet. Best hangar steak in town. Big cookies for dessert a bonus!
Outdoors in the sun was brutal; otherwise good.More would respond if not so long
A creative menu expertly prepared! We will be back.
This was our first time there for dinner and it was some of the best and most interesting food we have had in Tucson recently. Please patronize this place so they stay in business!
There were only 3 tables with customers when we arrived. We thought that was odd because it was sat night and all the other restaurants just down the street were packed. When we left we were the only ones there. Very odd. The food was good. Service was very shaky at the start as we sat there for 15 min and no one approached our table being only 3 filled tables we thought that was odd too. The kid running the place recovered well and service was good after that. He asked us if we wanted desert and when we said what do you have. He said only cookies up at the front. Not sure what’s going on at this place but for the location and the food which was good why is no one was there. Like I said very odd.
First time dining at the Nook and were pleased with all of our meals. Only thing missing is a nightly special or two and maybe more than one choice for a soup. Hangar steak was cooked to perfection and portion was perfect for a small appetite. Caribbean Salmon was something different and very well cooked and flavorful. Loved the small dessert choices, cookies, lemon bars, etc. Having good coffee, espresso is a huge plus! Service was excellent!
Great food. Great place. The waitress could have paid a bit more attention instead of having to flag her down three times.
We go to Nook at least once a week. One of our favorite places downtown.
I enjoyed Nook, and will definitely go back...especially when it's not raining because I want to site on that outdoor patio. Food great. Drinks great. Service was a bit slow. Even though we had reservations and there were several open tables, we were left standing at the hostess station for quite a few minutes, and then it took a while longer for our server to appear and then it took even longer for our appetizers to come out. Maybe they were shorthanded. Everything else was lovely. Good date-night place. Close to the Fox Theater and all of Downtown.
Dinner before the show. Great location, great service and the food was tasty. This was our first time at The Nook. We will return and take advantage of the unique patio setting.
Close to fox theater , great place for dinner before a show
I didn’t like the food, very salty, my Korean bbq short ribs had a not very good taste, they did not disclose that my appetizer had goat cheese and I can’t eat that. Then we requested for the dessert menu and they ask us to stand up an check on the pastries they have displayed, I don’t recommend this place
My husband and I have been to Nook for breakfast/brunch several times and decided to try their new dinner menu last Saturday evening. We wanted to order the Pork and Shrimp Shumai (dumplings) for starters, but they were out of them. So we asked if we could split a house salad instead, and they obliged. We appreciated their doing that, and our waiter seemed to feel bad about not having the dumplings. For entrees, my husband had Mom's Glazed Meatloaf, which was a large serving and incredibly good. I had the Caribbean Salmon, which was also very good and flavorful, but it was too small a serving in our opinion. Fortunately, my husband shared his meatloaf and that made up for the scanty salmon entree. Our waiter was attentive and he was knowledgeable about the menu. The noise level was high when we first walked into Nook because of a family with several little kids at a table by the front door. The parents let their kids run around and climb on the railing of the handicap ramp. We overheard one of the cooks complaining about "the screaming kids", but we didn't see any of the wait staff say anything to the parents about controlling their kids. It must be difficult for a restaurant staff to know when to intervene in situations like that. I think everybody sighed in relief when that family finished eating and left.
Restaurant was wonderful. Food was amazing - very tasty with some unusual combinations. Service was excellent. Great waiter.
Great staff...had a great time!
We came into Nook on a Thursday night. We were able to get seated right away . We enjoyed the salmon that had a great pineapple salsa and the pork porterhouse with apple waffles.....yes waffles with dinner... so good and crispy spinach ... you have to try it!! The service was spot on and the food was so fresh!! Found out they have only been serving dinner for a month... but only Thurs-Sun , 5-9pm. Otherwise they are open for breakfast and brunch the rest of the week.
Meatloaf unedible. Onion taste less
