Are you kidding???? Nonnie's Bistro was OHHH EMMM GEEE Good! Chef Jon must have fallen from heaven. This man should have his own tv show. I'll be back over, and over, and over, and over...
Downtown Pleasanton is the best kept secret in the Bay. Music everywhere. People were happy and the vibe is wonderful.
Can't wait to go back.
Great food. Nice portions. Their warm, rosemary rolls are amazing! Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Host and server were most gracious
.Maple glazed duck breast was phenomenal! Patio was a shade loud as it was legitimately in the street. Not Nonis fault. Made a special night for my son spectacular. Not enough stars.
Good Spot with a cozy and interesting menu along with Wine choices.
We were seated outside in the sun without being asked if the table was acceptable; the table was unsteady. We moved ourselves to a different table. After being served drinks and waiting, it appeared no one was aware our food order had not been taken. The music began, which could have been a nice touch, but it was too loud and very much in the foreground rather than in the background. The food was acceptable but have had better lunches.
Always a great experience, but we hadn't been there since the pandemic started. Great to see that some good things don't change!
Wonderful ambiance, attentive staff, a variety of great dishes to choose from.
Always a nice experience there. Service can be a bit slow, but if you are there to enjoy, relax and watch people walking by then it is more European dining in its pace.
As always, Nonni’s was delicious. I met a friend who I hadn’t seen in a while and we both loved the experience. I wanted a healthy bowl of grains and veggies, something not on the menu, but they accommodated me!! A bowl of barley with steamed veggies was perfect. Thanks Jon and staff!! I’ll be back soon!
This was a great experience, great food great table great service, and they brought out a complimentary dessert for my fiance's birthday. Great job!
Our server was hilarious and on top of it with topping off our bottomless mimosas. We’ll definitely be coming back soon.
Good food well prepared and the Wines list is small but on point. A favorite on Main St.
Great service. The seating outside was nice and enjoyed it.
Nonni’s is my favorite go-to restaurant in Pleasanton! The food is always awesome, the service attentive, the ambiance is pleasant. I’m so grateful that we can now have outdoor dining, and this is a delightful place in which to enjoy downtown Pleasanton. I will be back - often!
Great food lovely service
They forgot about us! But I love the server when she finally came.
Outstanding food on the patio. My whole family will return just for the wild mushroom ravioli and the Thor platter!
Bistro just opened under the new COVID-19 rules. Our table was less than 6' from the sidewalk and less than 6' from the walkway to the restaurant. Too many people without masks (including the owner of the Bistro) were walking around without masks. Made us very uncomfortable. We will not be back until people follow the rules or the pandemic is over.
Food was great!
Great food that everyone enjoyed. Presentation is just as good as the food tastes. Workers are polite, owner is friendly. Just a cute little restaurant. We especially enjoy going on the weekends for their bottomless!
Grilled eggplant sandwich was so delish. My lunch companion thoroughly enjoyed the risotto dish. Good options for vegan lovers.
Great food and service.
Food is usually just ok here. Nothing special especially for a vegan diner. Tables are too close together. Felt like I was dining with the couple next to us. Cannot have a conversation because it feels as though others are listening. Uncomfortable.
Always great food, fair prices and excellent service
We met friends for lunch at Nonni's. We sat near and open window. It was the perfect with fresh air, but not all the street noise. Service was perfect, attentive, but not too intrusive. Favorite were the mussels and the fish stew. Wish we had saved room for dessert. They looked delicious.
Food was great! Service was outstanding! Wonderful dinner!
This was our first visit at Nonni's and we had very high expectations after reviewing the menu online prior to our arrival.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. The food was just not good - plain and simple - no depth of flavors - no sign that anyone in the kitchen tasted what was actually served. We started with the french onion soup. The base of the soup tasted like it came out of a can - thin and flavorless - the melted cheese cover was more burned than melted - it felt like the kitchen rushed the cheese melting under way too high heat just to get the food out quickly.
The main courses were not much better. The filet beef bourguignon was a mess. What I expected was a deeply flavorful and rich stew but what was served instead was an actual filet of beef on top of some hastily charred vegetables that were swimming in a thin brown broth that had no resemblance at all with what this dish was supposed to taste like. Just plain bad.
The rack of lamb that my friend had ordered was equally terrible - undercooked, poorly tasting meat thrown over a mix of vegetables and salad with a broth that didn't taste good either. His words: "This was the worst rack of lamb I have ever eaten."
While the restaurant itself is lively and service was polite and efficient, we cannot recommend this restaurant because of the poorly tasting and executed food.
We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. While the prices are white table cloth, there aren't any. Servers were various and came to the table asking who ordered this? A half hour after arriving a group of 25 showed up and the noise level became intolerable. My onion soup was bland, and the "sea bass" was mediocre. The last time we ate there was summer and had a table outside; I think that's the ticket.
Great food and service! Will be back!
Great service, great food, a bit pricey but the quality is worth it. We had the Salmon and Filet Mignon, both were cooked perfectly and as requested. We have come here several times and have always been impressed with the overall quality, it's a great atmosphere (if you're not sitting TOO close to the people next to you....) and the food is amazing.
Amazing, as always ...
A casual neighborhood restaurant that serves delicious upscale food.
Food is always excellent, and we love the personable service from the staff and chef!
Salmon was so fresh and home made soup divine. Every time enjoy fresh ingredients and cucumber water too.
This is my third lunch at Nonni’s Bistro, and it lived up to my good expectations from the previous two visits. I split the club sandwich with Caesar salad with my friend; both were delicious! The portion was certainly large enough to split! Our waiter was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is a fun, comfortable spot, and I am already looking forward to returning!
I always enjoy coming to Nonni’s. The food is excellent, fresh and flavorful and the staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is cheerful and charming. Nonni’s is always a favorite dining experience!
Great wines, impressive service, quality ingredients presented well. We’ll be back!
Food was good, not amazing. Service was excellent. It was cold which made it a bit uncomfortable.
Both the food and staff were outstanding! My new favorite restaurant!
Great food. Great service! Busy Friday lunch good thing we had reservations. Small place. Great place for a girls lunch. Will definitely be back.
