The food was fabulous. Our waiter was well-versed in menu choices. There was a very gifted person playing the piano and singing. The music added to the comfortable atmosphere of the venue.
Lots of parties with kids, so probably more of a family restaurant. Heard a lot of happy birthday to you!
Great as always !We make it a point to stop in every time we are in the area. They will always accommodate us.
Fabulous restaurant. Definitely recommend it for the food and the stellar service.
We had a delightful evening. The food was delicious and portions were generous. The large selection of specials made it very difficult to choose an entree. The service was excellent and we were given uninterrupted time to finish our wine and listen to the entertainment before making our dessert choice. We will definitely be returning.
A great anniversary dinner spot. I was pleased with the very quick and caring waiting staff. The food was good as well and came in a reasonable timeframe. I would definitely return to this spot in the future.
It is always a pleasant occasion to eat at Nonna's. My guests enjoyed it very much
We have a very enjoyable anniversary dinner.
Pasta could have been a little hotter.
Portions were great.
It was my second time around and I must say that I along with my family (some from Montreal), were impressed with the excellent service, outstanding pasta entrees and relaxed and home like experience. The live music in the background added that feel good, romantic and happy atmosphere. Each of us (6) ordered a different pasta dish and very few words were spoken during dinner. The best Italian food ever!!! I can't wait to take my daughter and her Australian boyfriend out to experience an unforgettable evening.
From the live music to the main courses, this dinner at Nonna's, our first there, was delightful.
This is a great Italian restaurant. My only frustration is the limited wines by the glass. While there is a massive selection of great wines by the bottle, there was only 1 white and 1 red available by the glass, neither of which were appealing to me. My husband had a beer so I had to buy a bottle of wine to have one I liked. They did cork so I could take it home... but as everyone knows, restaurants need to mark up the price of a bottle of wine.... So a few more by the glass choices would be nice. The food was fabulous. The portions just right. The service friendly and well paced. The live music was good, just a simple piano player/singer. I personally don't like the large mirrors, I don't need that much of a view of others eating! But the rest of the decor was lovely.
Another great meal! We went for pizza and a glass of wine. Never disappointed!!
Four of us went to dinner at Nonna's Cuccina Ristorante last Friday, Great athmosphere and excellent service. The food is very good and the menu interesting. We will go back.
We will not be returning as we feel a drastic change has occurred thus changing the quality of the food and service. Very unfortunate for both parties!
Good food, service and fantastic live music!
Only down side is their cocktail list only has house wine as selections by the glass (one red, one white). And no Prosecco by the glass! I often like to have a glass of white for a cocktail, then a bottle of red for dinner. However glass-only wine selections are way too limited.
A hidden gem with fantastic ambiance, warm and friendly staff and quite possibly the best Italian food in Burlington! We shared a pizza for an appetizer and then lasagna and ravioli for our mains. Fantastico!!
We will definitely be back!
We recently dined at Nonna's Cucina...just trying a new spot that came up in an Opentable search for restaurants in our area...and it was a very pleasant surprise! The service was excellent and the food was amazing! Real authentic Italian. We plan to go back soon and bring the kids with us next time. Definitely a family friendly restaurant. Certainly a hidden gem in the area of Burlington where they are located but worth the drive!
ThIs was our second visit to Nonna's More for dinner. The choices, the delicious food and the service was top notch both times!
Scallop risotto special was the best risotto I have tasted.
Best decision we made to book an early Mother's day family meal a day in advance.
Quiet and best service.
Great, flavourful food with great portion.
I had the Nona's veal in Alfredo sauce
Waiter was very good and attentive.
Again, service slow ... need to get drinks to the table faster ... it appeared that the server had too many table to wait on. The menu choices were great ... something for everyone. The kids menu was good and they really tried to accommodate the children.
A true family place, where patrons seemed to know one another. Music added to the ambience. Authentic Italian food, the best Caprezi salad I have ever eaten. Pizza was thin crusted with fresh ingredients. The rissoto was filled with fresh shrimp that were tender. The calamari was on the tough side but edible.
We would return with family members for a special celbration. A great find in the 'hood!,
This place was great, food was excellent, but the alcohol was far to pricey, $11 for a Martini and $14 for a 9oz glass of wine, if you didn't drink it would have kept the price down a lot, we only order 4 drinks total & it was $60 of the bill.
Very nice place for a relaxing meal with friends or family. The live music was very tasteful and at a level that did not interrupt our conversation. The food was very good and so was the service. We will be back to this restaurant again.
found it very loud in the restaurant ..service was slow for a wed night ..half price wine still overpriced and the server did not listen to our requests. This was my 3rd visit as I kept thinking I would give it another try but not again ..its pretend Italian food at far too expensive. We had a dessert cut into three pieces as they ran out and still charged us for 2 desserts even after requesting it to be taken off.
Food was very diaapointing, chicken parm was tough as shoe leather, service was slow and prices were out of line for what you got. Would not recommend to any of my friends.
My husband and I went there on the recommendation of another couple. We have since recommended it to another couple and plan to return again. It was a great time with solid service.
Our first visit to this gem. Was for lunch, not very busy but food was great and reasonably priced. Serving sizes were huge, we had ledt-overs for 2 more meals. We'll be back.
I went to this restaurant with my wife and daughter and had a great experience. I thought the service, food and ambiance was fantastic. I will definitely go back to try other items on the menu
Steak was way to salty small portion of pasty and the buns where very cold and hard!
My husband had the grouper special of the day served on a bed of rice and veggie it was delicious. I had pasta with shrimps which was awesome too. The portions are just right. This was our 3rd visit will go back for sure.
Had a great romantic dinner on Sunday. Pianist was fantastic and added real ambiance to the experience. Our food was great, fantastic wine selection AND wide selection of beers on tap (very surprised). Staff was very friendly and the host very charming. Warning - get here early, as parking is at a premium.
Overall the food was bland tasting. For the price the portion sizes were not that big for what you get. Very expensive. For 4 people almost $200.00 dollars. Get more food and bigger portions and you don't leave still hungry at east sides. Have had better.
It could have been a perfect evaluation , but we received the wrong toppings on the pizza.
How did an order for green pepper turn into olives on the pizza ?
We visited Nonna's solely due to an opening we saw on Open Table. We had not been to this restaurant in the past.
We were delighted to find ambiance, unbelievably flavourful food and service that was truly exceptional.
We will be back in a week or so and have already made reservations for Valentine's Day!
Everything is great at Nonna's... except for the noise level of the music. We were there on a Friday night. It is WAY too loud for conversation. Once the live entertainment started, we had to yell at each other to be heard. Food is phenomenal (just like Noni used to make), wine selection is great, and service is exactly what you hope for: attentive but not over-bearing. Highly recommended.
We have been coming here for several years now. Jose and Elena always strive to please. The food is awesome and their features and specials are always changing. They arrange special events like the recent Tuscan Night which featured Italian music and songs from a live duo. Just a wonderful atmosphere. Like a bit of Italy in Burlington.
We have always enjoyed Nonna's but usually go later in the evening - sometime after 8pm. We went for your reservation at 6:45pm and the music was just starting. We got our meals which were wonderful as always however, after sometime it became quite busy and very noisy. Not as enjoyable as usual . . . The music also became louder as the restaurant became busier. All in all this was not our best experience. We ate our dinners and left right after.
