Nonna Silvias Trattoria and Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
Food with flavor is a must for me. Pasta is one of my favorites as long as it is original with flavor. The pumpkin ravioli with the goat cheese tomato cream sauce was amazing. The sauce was incredible then you bite into the ravioli and the pumpkin flavor added a second burst. Leaving reviews is not something that we normally do but if we could give them a higher than a five star we would!
This is an Italian Bistro. The food is okay. The service was extremely slow. The servers were more interested in entertaining a few tables of (just a guess) regulars. We were not offered desserts or coffee after the meal. had to chase the server down to get the bill and again to pick up the paid bill. There was a table of very drunk women near us that made it impossible to carry on a conversation. Rather than asking them to keep it down a little, the servers were encouraging them. I would not recommend, nor would I return.
I hadn’t seen a coworker and good friend for years. He was in for New York and prefers to dine locally. We chose Nonna Silvias and we couldn’t be more impressed. The service was impeccable with knowledgeable servers. The food was a combination of creative, unique and most importantly absolutely delicious.
Nonna Silvias had a number of daily specials and a fairly extensive wine list. The decor of the restaurant is typical of Italy and transports you to a different place.
We’ll most certainly be back. Thank you Nonna Silvias
We were meeting some new friends for dinner and wanted the chance to talk and get to know each other a bit. None of us had been to the restaurant before (it was between our two towns) and so when I made the reservations I didn't ask for any particular section or table. We came in at the height of the dinner hour and the table we were given was sort of in the middle of traffic. But the hostess made an effort to find us a better spot. Then she apologized and told us she would give us an appetizer on the house. Then she came back to move us again - this time seating us in the ideal spot where we could talk and relax and really enjoy the delicious food and the company. It was incredibly considerate and gracious and was most appreciated. So I definitely highly recommend Nonna's for your next get together - whatever the occasion.
Our family loves this neighborhood favorite. The food is always wonderful and the staff is helpful and friendly. We celebrated a family birthday there tonight with a large group from 3 months old to older than dirt and everyone was happy and really enjoyed the food!
Nonna Silvia's is a neighborhood gem. Service is excellent, cocktails are delicious, and their food is amazing! We enjoyed bacon wrapped stuffed dates, bruschetta, pork chops, and veal piccata. Everything was cooked to perfection! We drive from the burbs to eat here-it's worth the drive!
I left the neighborhood and had not been back for over seven years. Was always one of my favorites so I am delighted that Nona Sylvia's is still so outstanding. Wonderful owners and staff, creative food preparation of old standbys and new ideas. Couldn't be better. Wish I lived closer.
Food was excellent but the service was great at first but then when the restaurant was packed the server was too busy. We would have had dessert but she came once we were deciding and she never came back so we asked someone for our checks. When we left she was outside taking care of customers. I think you needed more servers.
We were celebrating a family member's birthday and Karol was an excellent waiter in anticipating our needs. The special were described in detail and in addition to the regular menu, it was difficult choosing what to eat. Again, this visit was a memorable experience and everyone enjoyed the food and had a great time. Looking forward to our next visit!
