Nonna Silvia's is a popular neighborhood restaurant nestled between Park Ridge and Edison Park. Family owned for nearly 17 years, Chefs Steve & John have been cooking authentic, regional Italian cuisine (from central Italy) since opening the restaurant. Inspired by and named after their grandmother, Silvia Giannini, Nonna Silvia's offers homemade pastas, fresh seafood, specialty pizzas, and a choice selection of local, Midwestern meats. We feature a collection of more than 60 wines (many of our wines are award-winning, Wine Spectator rated) from all over the world as well as craft beer and signature cocktails. Beef medallions are worth the trip

First time here and loved everything about it. We started with Polenta and grilled calamari and both were delicious. Grilled Calimari was excellent. I ordered the gnocchi and my husband the pork chops and both were just as good as the appetizers. Service was als excellent and we sat outside and also enjoyed that. Every once in a while it got a little loud with a fire truck passing by bit didn’t bother us at all. Will definitely be back. Excellent food.

This restaurant has been a favorite for a long time, but it has become a different place. Service is slow, the menu is lackluster, and the prices have risen.

, Nonna Silvia is the best for neighborhood dining. The food quality is always exceptional and
consistent. We dine there a few times a month and really enjoy the welcoming smile of Rachel
our waitress. Not only is the food great but the staff also!

We took our son and his family here for our granddaughters 3rd birthday. The food was wonderful, and our service was excellent. We ate indoors but they have a smaller outside area that we have also eaten at in the past which is also nice.

We will definitely be back!

This wasn't our first time here; we love everything about Nonnas. The food, service and staff are awesome. Nonnas is our go to place.

It's been there for years. Consistently good! Continuously updates menu with creative offerings and yet, also serves traditional foods. Service is outstanding! Have never been disappointed. Good wines too!

Always a great experience. I can’t say enough about the homemade pasta dishes. The service is always good, but kudos to Gabriella who goes the extra mile to make her customers feel like family. So lucky to have this place in my neighborhood.

Also, In the summer there is a cozy patio that we enjoy. Highly recommend it.

All four of us agreed the food was exquisite! Service was excellent, food all fresh and homemade. They even made up some dishes that weren’t on the menu because two of our party we’re craving chicken piccata! Highly recommend!

We always enjoy Nonna SIlvia's, we brought some family from out of town and the food they ordered was not as expected for them. They enjoyed, don't get me wrong, but the linguini with clams barely had any garlic and the pumpkin ravioli was not served with the typical toasted pumpkin seeds as usual. Things just seemed a bit off that night, I'm sorry to report.

The server was fantastic, which we've always found to be true upon each visit.

Sat outside and enjoyed the patio. Our servant, I forgot her name, brought us complimentary bruschetta while we waited for the grilled calamari.

Terrific neighborhood Italian with interesting menu and good wine list. Great food and great service. If you’re staying around O’Hare airport well worth the short ride to this place.

1st visit. We went because of great reviews. Did not disappoint. Food was very good. Had the gnocchi (homemade) with Vodka sauce. Service was excellent. Clean dishes for each course we shared. Always came back to make sure everything was OK.A lot of attention to detail. Great neighborhood place. Will return.

My daughters 16th birthday with her two best friends. Family friendly place with exquisite food. The foodie in me was happy, and the “youngsters” were also impressed. Thanks for another wonderful meal...

Always great food & outstanding service...we.ve been coming here for nearly a year & we're never disappointed.
We always make reservations which is easy to do both on "Open Table" or thru Nono's web site.

We were a table of eight, which included three small kids. Our server was Gabriella, and she was outstanding! The food was very good, several had fish, pasta, and the pizza was terrific!! My only thought would be the bread basket was a little boring, and although it was averages we went thru three baskets! Our waitress was outstanding!!
Will definitely return!!

Excellent food and creative, yet not overly fussy, cocktails. Highly recommend the Swiss chard fettuccine and the Ruby Slipper drink (if you like grapefruit juice). Plus attentive service. A comfortable neighborhood place that is equally good for a special outing.

Celebrating Father's Day, we decided to go to Nonna Silvias to have a nice Italian meal. With my husband liking pizza, and being Father's Day, that is what he ordered. We have had their pizza's before so our daughter and I ordered pasta from the specials. It was very good and had plenty for leftovers the next day. This is a nice neighborhood type of restaurant and we definitely will be back again.

The evening we had dinner here, the restaurant was very busy, especially the outdoor tables. Consequently, the staff seemed very rushed, and service was slow. We waited over 30 minutes for two entrees. Usually the staff are very attentive, but it appears that they were short-staffed for the number of customers being served.

There was a piece of plastic in our pizza. The entire staff worked to make it right for us. They were attentive, caring, and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Nonna Silvia’s to a friend, and I myself would go back.

Four of us met here for an early dinner on a Saturday, and enjoyed the evening very much. However, as the restaurant filled up, it became much noisier. Noise is NOT an asset which the review form claims is "energetic." We will return, being sure to come around 5 pm.

I found this place using TripAdviser. The food was great. Our waiter offered to have the chef prepare food to our liking or to prepare something that was not on the menu. The restaurant was a little noisy even though it was not extremely crowded. Our waiter was very funny and engaging. Overall, I would highly recommend Nonna Silvias.

Nice restaurant however we were rushed by waitperson- just sat down and asked what we would like. She came back quickly and asked again.

Bus people want to take plates away with 3/4 of meal still on plates - what’s the hurry the place has many open tables.

Again nice place but too rushed to enjoy the birthday meal.

I've been going to Nonna Silvia's with my family for years as my mom lives the next neighborhood over. Their grilled octopus is delicious and there's something for everyone on the menu. I highly recommend the filet medallions and the sapore di mare. They are happy to accommodate any allergies or make minor changes/substitutions to your dish. The wine selection is great and the waitstaff is ALWAYS friendly, attentive and accommodating. Definitely get the authentic Italian tiramisu for dessert...if you've saved room for it that is!
