Nonna Silvias Trattoria and Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
This was our second time at Nonna's, but this time we brought our very close friends one of whom was having his birthday. They are very upscale dinners and used to the best. They loved it!
All of our lives are so busy, that when we find time to enjoy ourselves it is critical that that time energize you so that you can wake up tomorrow with a smile on your face.
Nonna's will not disappoint you! You will leave knowing your time was well spent and you will remember that evening fondly for a long time.
The menu selections were good. My double pork chop, however was extremely tough and hard to even cut through. The waitress didn't check back with us during the meal (or else I would have told her about this). I had only eaten a small portion and could eat no more. The bus person kept trying to take my plate. Finally after he asked three times, and the waitress had not been by I told him to take it but to tell the chef that the pork chop was extremely overcooked and I wasn't able to eat it. He took my plate, but I'm not sure my message ever got to the chef. Nor did he tell our waitress. When the waitress finally came after both our plates were taken by the bus boy; I explained the situation to her. But by this time it was too late to correct the situation, and my co-worker had already eaten and was ready for us to leave.
I've been dining at Nonna Silvias for a couple of years now. This unassuming local gem never disappoints. When I eat lunch I usually get the Mista salad which is amazing - warm chicken, goat cheese, greens, and a great vinaigrette. This time I was there for dinner and ordered a terrific seafood entree that came in a light tomato broth. It is very easy to overcook seafood, particularly mussels, clams, and scallops. These were done perfectly and very tender. Our service was terrific as well. If you haven't tried Nonna Silvias, you're missing out
Our dinner and service were great. This was our second time eating here and we really enjoyed our meal. We had the grilled calamari and rice balls for an app- both were great. The calamari was lemony and amazing! For dinner we had eggplant Parmesan, linguine with clams and porcini purses. All were amazing. The service was on point!!
We ate here on New Year’s Eve and had a wonderful meal! The pasta was delicious as was the eggplant dish! The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with selections. And the atmosphere was cheerful and friendly. It was a great way to end the year!
Nonna Silvias is one of my favorites. The food and service are consistently good. I love the Swiss Chard Fettuccine and the pizzas are excellent.
The main dining room can be quite noisy, but we were seated in the adjacent room recently and it was very comfortable and easy to converse.
Food with flavor is a must for me. Pasta is one of my favorites as long as it is original with flavor. The pumpkin ravioli with the goat cheese tomato cream sauce was amazing. The sauce was incredible then you bite into the ravioli and the pumpkin flavor added a second burst. Leaving reviews is not something that we normally do but if we could give them a higher than a five star we would!
This is an Italian Bistro. The food is okay. The service was extremely slow. The servers were more interested in entertaining a few tables of (just a guess) regulars. We were not offered desserts or coffee after the meal. had to chase the server down to get the bill and again to pick up the paid bill. There was a table of very drunk women near us that made it impossible to carry on a conversation. Rather than asking them to keep it down a little, the servers were encouraging them. I would not recommend, nor would I return.
I hadn’t seen a coworker and good friend for years. He was in for New York and prefers to dine locally. We chose Nonna Silvias and we couldn’t be more impressed. The service was impeccable with knowledgeable servers. The food was a combination of creative, unique and most importantly absolutely delicious.
Nonna Silvias had a number of daily specials and a fairly extensive wine list. The decor of the restaurant is typical of Italy and transports you to a different place.
We’ll most certainly be back. Thank you Nonna Silvias
I took my wife here for a date night. We very much enjoyed the food that we ordered. There are places that serve average dishes, especially for vegetarian options, but this is not one of those places. The special arancini balls were very good and the eggplant rolatini was delicious. I would definitely go back there. The server wasn't the best and the bread that came out on the table was a bit tough... but we got through those things to have an enjoyable meal!
We were meeting some new friends for dinner and wanted the chance to talk and get to know each other a bit. None of us had been to the restaurant before (it was between our two towns) and so when I made the reservations I didn't ask for any particular section or table. We came in at the height of the dinner hour and the table we were given was sort of in the middle of traffic. But the hostess made an effort to find us a better spot. Then she apologized and told us she would give us an appetizer on the house. Then she came back to move us again - this time seating us in the ideal spot where we could talk and relax and really enjoy the delicious food and the company. It was incredibly considerate and gracious and was most appreciated. So I definitely highly recommend Nonna's for your next get together - whatever the occasion.
Our family loves this neighborhood favorite. The food is always wonderful and the staff is helpful and friendly. We celebrated a family birthday there tonight with a large group from 3 months old to older than dirt and everyone was happy and really enjoyed the food!
