Contemporary Italian
Nonna Silvia's is a popular neighborhood restaurant nestled between Park Ridge and Edison Park. Family owned for nearly 19 years, Chefs Steve & John have been cooking authentic, regional Italian cuisine (from central Italy) since opening the restaurant. Inspired by and named after their grandmother, Silvia Giannini, Nonna Silvia's offers homemade pastas, fresh seafood, specialty pizzas, and a choice selection of local, Midwestern meats. We feature a collection of more than 60 wines (many of our wines are award-winning, Wine Spectator rated) from all over the world as well as craft beer and signature cocktails. Our restaurant has a warm and intimate Tuscan ambiance and a popular outdoor patio. Come and join us for a memorable meal and experience!

Food was delicious. Customer service was great as well. It was bit noise, though.
Very worth going for every night occasion.

An incredible hidden gem in Park Ridge. Always solid service, fair prices for the quality of food, and excellent menu. We had the house salad, bruschetta, kids spaghetti and meatball, chicken parm, and rotolo subbed with gluten free pasta. There’s really no need to make the trek downtown for quality food when it’s right in our backyard.

Expect loud and crowded. The food, wine and service are worth it.

Our group attending a conference in Rosemont stumbled upon Nonna Silvia’s and everyone really enjoyed the food! It was nice without being over the top expensive or fancy. We will return!

We found Nonna Silva’s online when we were looking for a centrally located restaurant for my son’s birthday. What a find! The service was fantastic — everyone was so friendly and attentive. No one was a stranger, everyone was welcomed like we were guests in their home. The food was excellent. My husband loves Chicken Marsala. It wasn’t on the menu, but when we asked if they had it, there server was quick to say, “yes! We will make it for you!” — and it was delicious!

Although the restaurant is 45 minutes from our home, we will definitely be back and will brings friends to enjoy too!

We were looking for a restaurant that took reservations in the vicinity of the Allstate arena. Based upon the high number of rave reviews we decided to give Nonna's a try - and we were not disappointed. The housemade polenta was a delicious starter and all three of the pasta dishes were fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

My wife and I had a gift card and it was our first time dining there. Service was impeccable and we really enjoyed every aspect of our experience. Food, cocktails, loud ambiance, people watching were all great.

Definitely recommend the carpaccio appetizer with an old fashioned.

Excited to go back for a special occasion.

We have been to Nonna Silvias many times. Our previous visits were first rate-this time, my roast chicken was a bit dry, but everyone else enjoyed their meals to the fullest. This is always a go-to spot for us. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend (and have done so).

I was out for lunch. I ordered the beef carpaccio and the peppardelle bolognese. The carpaccio was superb, with a classic preparation of arugula and capers with Parmesan! The peppardelle was good but could improve . The pasta was over cooked and over sauced but just slightly as it was a soft bite rather than al dente and the sauce has a great flavor! I finished with the Chianti by the glass and an espresso! Great place, good food!

I believe everyone but one of the attendees were very happy with the food. I understand 2 orders had to be sent back, one of the ones that came back was great, the other was not.
Apparently it was very crowded at the time my group went.

Had the homemade pasta and soup. VERY good, was surprised at how busy it was for a Wednesday night. Service was good (a bit slow - one waiter only - no problem). Waiter was very nice and helpful. Definitely will return.

I love how the waitstaff always remembers us and comes over to say hello! This is a family run restaurant and I really like the friendly atmosphere.

This place always delivers and has never disappointed! The grilled calamari are wonderful. The seafood paella with saffron wine sauce and risotto was out of this world, and I always order the Swiss chard pasta, which is homemade (as is all of their pastas I believe). The tiramisu is fantastic - a delicious light way to end a great a dinner. We’ve brought many friends here so far and will continue to.

Absolutely loved this place. Great, great food. So many yummy things on the menu it was difficult to choose. We all went for something different, so it was funny tasting each other's choice. I would highly recommend. We were a group of 6 and our service was truly outstanding. In fact, best service I've had in a very long time. Will definitely go back!
