Nonna Silvias Trattoria and Pizzeria
Meal was great start to finish. We started with fried calamari. It was nice a tender, not over cooked. Then, I had veal piccata which was good and was good serving size. My husband had the special which was a tortellini pasta stuff with Osso bucco filling. It was awesome. I am not sure what the sauce was but it was so good. I was too full for dessert but I did take a piece of the limoncello cake home. I really enjoyed it. I plan to go back soon.
Food was excellent and so was the service! Loved our experience
Everything is fantastic, but make a reservation early. My long-time favorite place has gotten VERY popular!
We’ve been here a couple of times previously and were very pleased so we decided to try again with a group of friends. We were promptly seated. Our server was excellent, providing recommendations and suggestions. The daily special pasta was outstanding as was the veal saltimbocca and tiramisu! Wine selection is good and reasonably priced. Overall, a good value.
Desired a location within 15 minutes of ORD airport for an early Sunday dinner. Booked this place after reading reviews on Open Table. Homemade pasta, crispy pizza, flavorful pork tenderloin were excellent. Carl was helpful and pleasant. Recommended!
This is a really good neighborhood place with very good food and an excellent wine list.
Had lunch here and very much enjoyed the food and the service. Fried calamari was excellent, as was my steak salad. Great quality of rib eye, cooked to order. My colleague had a spinach ravioli that she really enjoyed as well. Service was excellent and the lunch menu had a great variety of options starting at $9.99 so I would definitely come back for another visit.
The food was fantastic! We felt as if we were back in Italy!
Excellent food and service. Great little place will absolutely go back again
Great chicken arroyo, congenial waiter who profusely (and unnecessarily) apologized for minor, acceptable delays. My only complaint is that a dinner that costs close to $20 could come with a salad. Maybe the reasonable bar prices offset the lack of a salad
So noisy we couldn’t hear ourselves think let alone have a conversation. Enjoyed the food but won’t go back due to the noise.
Good spot for pizza, pasta, fish. Good family of small group, as well as couples. Nice outdoor seating area.
The drink that was supposed to come with luxordo's was outfitted with regular maraschino's , not worth troubling over. Food was good though.
Server, Martin and wait staff were excellent... very attentive. Grilled calamari, arugula salad, pizza, and gnocchi were freah and tasty. A pleasant dining experience except the noise level can be deafening.
Service was a bit slow at this visit. Generally a solid choice but not the best visit this time. Love the pasta!
Needed a central meeting spot for family members and this was perfect for 7 of us. The food was very good and our server was charming and accommodating. It was our first time and we would love to go back and try more things on the menu!
We love having a neighborhood place that’s got great food and attentive service. The only downside is it’s noisy. We have also used them to cater parties and have been very happy with the results.
I came here with my wife who upon my recommendation ordered the Scottish Salmon. She raved about it, perfectly cooked and agreed with me, the sweet potato fries were the best she has ever had. I enjoyed the Linguine Vongole, which had a copious amount of baby clams. Karol, thank you for your attentive service and freezing my gelato order before we paid the bill!
Fantastic food and service. I can't say enough great things.
Out to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mother in law. Food is excellent at this little Italian restaurant. Noise level very high and it was absolutely freezing cold in the space.
Our third time dining here. It was exceptional. We definitely plan on returning, hopefully to dine al fresco.
It was delicious and put server was knowledgeable,
Great neighborhood place to get a nice meal in a friendly atmosphere.
I love this restaurant we had a Mother’s Day dinner with 7 people and they accommodated our party with swiftness and grace, everything was on pointe and the food was fantastic. I’ve also been here on a date with my husband and it still felt very intimate.
Delicious meals enjoyed by our whole group and terrific wait staff
Food was fantastic! Service was great, then slightly "quick" then slow lol but it was mothers day weekend, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. Definately going back!
Amazing Family place. Great food. Awesome service. Cozy. The egg plant is to die for!
As always, the food and service were wonderful. This restaurant is a favorite in our family and amongst my friends.
The food was very good, especially the Mediterranean pizza and the beet salad. However, there was a slip up on getting our desserts to the table. The management bent over backwards to rectify the situation by comping them.
We love this place. Food and service are consistently good. Great selection of food and drink for all.
Great waitstaff. Very loud. Food quality good but not great.
Can’t say enough about this place! Every single time we go there I am never disappointed! The food is 100% authentic, unusual without veering far from authenticity. There is something for everyone, and the service is so kind and very good!
Son & freind in town.
Ordered from the specials menu and was not disappointed. The arancini was great, my entrée was too. Service was outstanding as always. This is my favorite Italian restaurant and I think one of Chicago's best.
Waitress was great, great service and very knowledgeable . Food was excellent
We have been to Nonna Silvia's many times and it is always good. The servers are friendly and they are knowledgeable about the menu. The food is consistently good. I love the gnocchi and my husband loves the Mediterranea pizza. There is convenient street parking right in front of the restaurant. Great neighborhood restaurant!
Nonna Silvias has become our "go-to" for good Italian food. Their pasta specials are usually fabulous, as are their usual menu items. They have a very good selection of wines as well.
Great pasta choices and specials
Nonna Silvia’s should be on your radar if you stay at a hotel near O’Hare. I lucked out during Park Ridge Restaurant Week, there were four course specials. I enjoyed the bruschetta, a salad, salmon with sweet potato fries, and gelato. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had, light and crispy. If you don’t have room for gelato, as was my case, you can take it with you. Thank you for a fine meal. I will be back!
